38-minute Centering and Chakra Releasing/Receiving Meditation. Promotes stress/anxiety reduction and healing for those affected by addiction in their lives. Best done while sitting or lying down in a space where you will not be disturbed.

Hello and welcome to this meditation.
My name is Tanya D.
With The Peace We Crave,
And today we are going to be doing a centering and chakra releasing and receiving meditation.
I invite you now to get into whatever position is comfortable for you when you meditate,
Whether that's sitting on a cushion or a chair or lying down.
And once you get into that position,
I invite you to start off with a surrender breath.
If you don't know how to do that,
You inhale and raise the shoulders towards the ears and hold your breath.
And then on the exhale,
Drop the shoulders down and release the breath with an audible sigh.
Inhale the shoulders up,
Hold,
Squeeze.
And on the exhale,
Drop the shoulders down.
Do that one more time.
Inhale,
Shoulders up,
Hold,
Squeeze.
And on the exhale,
Drop the shoulders down.
So you can come into stillness.
You can place the hands on the lap or somewhere comfortable next to you if you're lying down.
You can close the eyes if that's comfortable for you.
That's not for any reason.
You can keep the eyes open,
Just gazing softly down in front of you.
And begin to breathe.
Just noticing the breath.
Noticing how it's going in and out of the body.
Be a body breathing.
If you'd like to connect with the breath a little bit more,
You can place your hands on your belly anywhere that's comfortable.
And on the inhale,
You feel a belly rise and expand.
And on the exhale,
You feel a belly draw back.
Inhale,
Belly rises,
Expands.
And on the exhale,
You feel the belly draw back.
And we'll just be here for a little bit.
Just breathing.
So you you you You can take your hands off of your belly and place them down next to you or on your lap and while continuing to breathe begin to notice all the places where your body comes in contact with something in your physical space and become present in your physical body just dropping in and taking note on how you're feeling physically and you can even observe how you're feeling mentally and emotionally and also taking note how you're feeling spiritually and we're just observing here just seeing where we're at in this moment you I invite you now to bring your awareness to the crown of the head the very top of the head and then move the awareness to the forehead and the face and then move the awareness to the back of the head to the ears and the eyes the nose and the mouth and if you like you can squeeze all the muscles of the face really tight just pull them in and then release letting all the muscles in the face relax let your jaw relax bring your awareness now to your neck the front of the neck the sides of the neck the back of the neck the upper back and the shoulders the chest and the heart center the upper parts of your arms the elbows the lower parts of the neck the lower parts of the arms the wrists the wrists the hands and the fingers and if you like you can make fists with the hands tense all the muscles in the arms chest shoulders upper back to squeeze them in and then release letting all those muscles relax and curling the hands if they were clenched you can place your palms down on the lap or towards the ground if you like a little extra grounding right now or you can place the palms up face up towards the sky as a gesture of receiving so and bring your awareness now to the abdomen the middle part of the back and the lower part of the back if you like you can squeeze the stomach muscles towards your back pressing all the organs in the abdomen hold that and then release letting the belly soften and bring your awareness now to the hips and the upper parts of the legs the knees and the lower parts of the legs parts of the legs ankles your feet and your toes and squeeze all the muscles the legs really tight if you like curling the toes squeeze everything and then release letting all the muscles in the legs relax letting the toes and feet relax and allowing the entire body to melt just be here now and i encourage you to try to let go of any expectations to any outcomes or preconceived notions of what you think might be or should be let's try to be in the moment here now together so and i invite you now to bring your awareness to the base of the spine to your root chakra and imagine that there is a healing red light in this area and let this red light bring any fears you may have down into the earth letting your higher power take them away so and bring your awareness now to the area between the hips below the belly button your sacral chakra and imagine that there is a healing orange light in this area and let this orange light send away any guilt you might have as if down a river letting the water wash it away so and bring your awareness now to the area below the rib cage and above the belly button your solar plexus chakra and imagine that there is a healing yellow fiery light in this area and place any shame you might have in this fiery light letting it being taken away so and bring your awareness now to the heart center your heart chakra and imagine that there is a healing green light in this area and allow this light to take away any feelings of grief you might have taken away like the wind so so bring your awareness now to the throat area your throat chakra and imagine that there is a healing blue light in this area and allow this light to take any lies you might have about yourself and allowing those lies to be catapulted into the heavens so and bring your awareness now to the area between the brow your third eye and imagine that there is an indigo healing light at your third eye chakra and allow this light to take away any illusions you might have bringing them up to the higher power of your understanding so so and bring your awareness now to the top of the head to your crown chakra and imagine that there is a healing violet light in this area send thoughts of releasing attachments up to the higher power of your understanding with this light so and keeping your awareness at the crown of the head allow that violet light to now expand in this area bringing to you thoughts of knowledge and wisdom bring these thoughts and feelings into your being so bring your awareness now to the brow your third eye chakra and allow that indigo light to expand in this area helping you with the ability to recognize patterns in your life so and bring these thoughts and feelings into your being and bring your awareness down to the throat and allow that blue light to expand in the throat chakra carrying creative creativity and communication to you bring these thoughts and feelings into your being so bring your awareness now to the heart center and allow that green light to expand at the heart chakra inviting love and balance into your life bring these thoughts and feelings into your being so bring your awareness now to the area below the rib cage and above the belly button and allow that yellow fiery light to expand in the solar plexus giving you the power to transform your life bring these thoughts and feelings into your being so bring your awareness now to the area between the hips and below the belly button and allow that orange light to expand at your sacral chakra permitting movement and connection into your life and bring these thoughts and feelings into your being and now bring your awareness to the base of the spine allowing that red light to expand at your root chakra and bringing feelings of being grounded safe and stable bring these thoughts and feelings into your being allow some time now for this practice of releasing what no longer serves you and manifesting what you can bring into your life to settle into your current reality you may repeat to yourself the following affirmation i am here i can release and change i am here i can release and change you you you you you you become present again in your physical body noticing all the places where your body comes in contact with your physical space and taking your time you can begin to slowly open your eyes if they're closed and move when you feel ready and thank you for taking the time to practice with me today namaste you you you you
