Sit up tall as you elongate your spine.

Let your seat anchor and the crown of your head yearn upward.

Begin by bringing awareness to the breath,

Specifically how the air feels as it enters the nostrils and comes down your throat and windpipe into your lungs,

And the sensation of the air as it exits and reverses course.

As you bring awareness to the sensations,

On your next exhale,

Let your attention rest at the throat area or the Vashudha chakra.

Draw into your mind's eye the color of pale blue.

Allow the blue to radiate not only from the front of your throat,

But the sides and back of your neck as well.

Allow the pale blue to wash over you as if it were a cloud of air that surrounds you.

This is your fifth chakra,

Representing your area of communication,

Expression of your truth,

Divine creativity,

And manifestation of your personal choices.

Vashudha means purification or pure wisdom.

When open,

This chakra allows you to use your creativity in infinite ways and tell stories with truth and clarity.

Over the course of your life,

You mature.

First,

Your family or your tribe or anyone everywhere has authority over you.

Then you begin to understand that you alone have authority over you.

Finally,

As you mature spiritually,

You will eventually realize that true authority is when you surrender your will to the divine.

When you find your voice and are able to express it,

That is when the world opens for you.

The primary life element of this life center is sound.

As you return to your breath,

Listen on the inhale for the sound of SO,

And on the exhale,

Listen consciously for the sound of HUM.

You can repeat this over and over again.

And if it feels right,

You can also say it out loud.

So,

So,

Hum over and over again.

We will sit now and I will let you know with my voice when it's time to come back.

Come back now to the observation of the sensation of the breath in and out of the body.

You are a divine expression of truth,

Of joy,

Of light.

Your voice is powerful.

It is intent,

Funny,

Beautiful.

And now more than ever,

It is needed in our world.

The spark of creativity is ignited within you.

Connect back to the sensations around the throat and neck area.

What the breath feels like on the throat.

What any tension feels like.

Ask yourself what it would feel like to completely express your truth in your art and in your creative life.

And then when you're ready,

By taking all the time that you need,

Open your eyes and come back into the room.
