Coming into stillness,
Find yourself in a comfortable position,
Either in a chair or a cushion,
With your back upright.
If you're in a chair,
Ground your feet into the earth,
And if on a cushion,
Do the same with your seat.
Let it feel as if the ground has a gravitational pull on you.
It is anchoring you onto it.
Close your eyes and begin to turn inward,
Allowing for the distractions of the outside world to begin to fade into the background.
Now start by bringing conscious awareness to your breath.
Then take a very deep breath.
Let it be long and fuller than normal.
Fill up the lungs and let it out with a soft sigh.
Take another once again,
Filling up the lungs deeply and fully,
And then exhaling completely out.
Take a third and this time begin to notice the sensations of the breath in the body as you breathe in and breathe out.
With every exhalation,
Relax with the outflow,
And as you soften,
Say to yourself,
Let go,
Let go,
Let go.
Breathe in again,
Relaxing on both the inhalation and the exhalation.
Let go,
Let go,
Let go.
Begin to notice presence,
The hereness of this moment,
Knowing that the breath will always bring you back to the now.
Tune into the sounds around you,
Really taking in and opening to the entire room.
Listen to the sounds from the furthest point away.
Notice the quality of the sounds rather than naming them.
Allow your attention to come a bit closer now in the room in which you are seated.
Hear the sounds without a desire to label them as pleasant or unpleasant,
Good or bad.
Just take note of them.
Connect back to your breath.
Can you relax a little deeper on each inhalation and on each exhalation?
Let go,
Let go,
Let go.
And turn your attention inward,
Checking in with your highest self at the center of your being,
At your heart.
Just sense its state of being.
You can even ask yourself,
How is my heart today?
Is it soft or hardened?
What is its longing?
What is it most need?
Let go,
Let go,
Let go.
Take a breath into the heart space.
And bring a soft smile there,
Like that of the Buddha,
Right to your heart center.
Reminding the heart that you are supported by the universe for your highest calling.
And know that you can check in with this place at any time simply by returning to your heart and taking a breath.
Breathe in deep and full,
One more final inhalation and exhalation.
Let go,
Let go,
Let go.
Then slowly and only when you are ready,
Open your eyes and take in the space.
Thank you for watching!
