Hope is an important source of strength, especially when things are not going well. This meditation helps you to cultivate hope within yourself instead of looking for it on the outside. You will be guided to consciously feed the most important qualities of hope with your mindful energy. This will help you stay hopeful and feel supported from within, even in difficult situations.

Thank you for being here and for taking the time to take care of yourself.

This meditation will help you to find some hope in yourself.

Hope that is carrying you through even difficult times and giving you confidence.

To begin,

Find a comfortable position.

You can be upright and seated or you can be lying down.

Both is fine.

And to focus on yourself,

I invite you to close your eyes if this is comfortable for you.

But you can also keep a soft gaze in front of you.

And then let your awareness flow to your breath as an anchor.

Your in-breath and your out-breath.

Just observing,

Not changing anything.

And each time there is an out-breath,

Let this be a guide for your body to relax even a little bit more.

And then let come up whatever it is in your life that needs a little bit more hopeful energy right now.

It can be a challenging situation.

It can be a question that has been on your mind for a while.

Be kind to yourself and don't think of the biggest,

Most frightening problem in your life right now.

Hold it lightly without being sucked into it from a safe distance.

And then give your awareness permission to let a better version of this situation come up.

Allow your consciousness to feel what the purpose behind this is,

Why this gives you some fulfillment,

Why you would want that.

It's not so important to have a very,

Very clear image of what you want to achieve.

It's more important to focus on this inner feeling of attraction.

The pull inside of you.

What is it that you find attractive about that?

What is speaking to you?

And let this sensation expand in your body.

Where do you feel this attraction?

And feel the energy that is connected to this attraction.

And then I invite you to become aware of the good qualities and attributes of yourself that are helpful in this situation.

What strengths of you resonate with what's happening with you right now?

They can be very,

Very clear in your mind.

Or maybe they are just vague ideas.

Both is fine.

Connect yourself to the positive emotions that come with them.

And let these emotions spread out in your body.

You might want to pay extra attention to your heart region.

Maybe you can sense some warmth there.

Maybe you also want to label what it is.

Maybe it is pride.

Or a sense of strength.

Confidence.

Or maybe just relief.

Where in your body do these feelings reside?

Where are they at home?

And again,

Sense the energy that lies within these emotions.

And next I invite you to let your creative and imaginative self come up.

Let's be playful.

What could you do next with all your strengths and your good qualities that is helpful to you?

We are in playful mode,

So allow yourself to imagine that as specifically as you wish.

Maybe it is just a rough sketch of an idea.

Or maybe you can zoom in closer and closer to make this idea more and more concrete and specific.

See the action that you are taking.

And maybe you can let your imagination also have a look at the effect that these actions might have.

In an easygoing and playful way,

Allow all these images to become clearer and clearer.

So that it feels good for you.

And also observe what is happening to you,

How this feels for you.

Maybe you can sense some space around your head and your thoughts.

And allow yourself to feel the energy in this.

And now very gently bring your attention back to your breath.

And observe it,

How it comes and goes.

And become aware that you don't really know how your breath is working,

But it is still keeping you alive.

And also become aware of the fact that in life there is a lot of wonderful and great things that are happening.

And also become aware of the fact that life actually is like a river,

That it goes on and on.

And that life in itself is well-meaning and has a lot of opportunities.

And breathe with this realization.

And with each inhale let there be some space.

And open up this space in your body and also in your awareness.

Gently and bit by bit.

And open up some space for imagining what you could do in your current situation.

And open up some space for the realization and the awareness of your own strengths and your healthful qualities.

And open up some space for what you really want.

And the purpose behind that for yourself.

And what is in you that finds this so attractive.

And breathe with all of that.

These are all elements of your own hope that is inside of yourself and doesn't need anything from the outside.

So it is always with you.

And you can always take it with you wherever you go and whatever you do.

Feel this power and this strength that lies in this realization.

And let this expand in your body with each breath.

Connect with it and bring it to life.

And to bring our practice to a close,

Let's come back to the here and now.

Feel where your body touches the ground.

Listen to the sounds that are surrounding you.

Gently move your fingers and your toes.

And in your own time,

Take one final last breath in.

And on your exhale,

Open your eyes.

Thank you very much for sharing this meditation with me.

And I wish you all the best.
