Hi,

This is Jessica from the Lotus Pond.

Welcome to your moment of intentional pause.

Emotional wellness plays a vital role in how we navigate our responsibilities and connections.

Whether you're nurturing others,

Managing work or personal challenges,

Or seeking to deepen your own inner peace,

This meditation aims to support you in calming and understanding your emotions.

In this practice,

We'll focus on observing our emotions with gentle awareness,

Allowing us to experience them without judgment or overwhelm.

Emotions,

Whether subtle or intense,

Can provide us with valuable insights if we just take time to tune in.

As we begin,

Know that this is a space for you to connect with yourself and your inner wisdom.

So let's begin.

Find a comfortable seat where you can relax.

Allow your spine to be tall and free,

And your body to feel relaxed and grounded.

Take a few deep breaths,

Inhale,

Exhale.

Letting go.

Inhale,

Inviting fresh,

New energy into your system.

And exhale,

Releasing any tension or stagnant energy.

Now pause and allow your breath to find its natural rhythm.

Let's begin by observing yourself,

Sitting here or lying here,

Present in this moment.

Open your mind,

Your heart,

To a neutral observer perspective.

Just watching yourself,

Breathing,

Meditating.

Now slowly turn your awareness inward.

What emotions are you experiencing right now?

Try not to judge or label your emotions.

Just notice them as they are.

You may even associate your emotions with a color,

A shape,

A sensation,

Or even an image or memory.

Notice where do you feel these emotions in your body?

Is there tightness,

Or warmth,

Or a sense of lightness?

Simply be with your emotions as they are,

Without trying to change them,

Fix them.

Instead,

Letting them just be.

Like the change of seasons,

Emotions are transient.

They come,

They go,

Like clouds in the sky.

Acknowledge them and allow them to flow through you with self-compassion,

Letting them go.

I now invite you to imagine a peaceful body of water in your mind's eye.

A calm lake,

A serene beach,

Or a quiet river.

Picture yourself by this body of water,

Where everything is still and peaceful.

As you breathe,

Let your emotions settle like the water.

Take a moment to fully immerse yourself in this scene.

Feel the gentle breeze on your skin,

The warmth of the sun,

Or the coolness of the air around you.

Listening to the sounds of water lapping against the shore,

Or perhaps a gentle rustling of leaves in the wind.

Perhaps you can even smell the fresh,

Clean scent of nature.

The salty air,

The earthy ground,

Or the crisp breeze.

With each breath,

Allow yourself to sink deeper and deeper into this peaceful place,

Letting the sight,

Sound,

And sensations calm your emotions and your entire being.

And as you breathe,

Your mind and emotions become still,

Just like the calm and steady waters before you.

As you rest in this sense of calm,

Silently in your heart or aloud,

Repeat the following affirmation.

I welcome my emotions with kindness and understanding.

I welcome my emotions with kindness and understanding.

I welcome all my emotions with kindness and understanding.

Breathe deeply,

Feeling the sense of calm and compassion expand within you.

Take a moment to honor yourself for showing up today and giving space to your emotional well-being.

Take all the time you need to slowly come back into the present moment,

Wiggling your toes,

Your fingers,

Swinging and stretching your body in ways that feel good for you.

And when you're ready,

You may gently reopen your eyes.

And as you carry this sense of calm and awareness with you,

Remember that nurturing your emotional wellness is a continual process of compassion and self-discovery.

May you welcome your emotions with kindness and understanding.

Thank you.
