Hello,
Welcome to this grounding and intention setting meditation.
My name is Sierra.
I'm a yoga teacher and health and wellness coach with the local mystic.
And I'm so happy that you've chosen to take this step towards aligning yourself with your inner vision and your goals.
So you can bring yourself into whatever seat is comfortable for you.
Whether in a chair or on the floor,
Allowing yourself to shake and shimmy and wiggle until you can eventually settle into a bit of stillness.
Allowing yourself to softly close your eyes.
And beginning to settle into your breath.
So your breath be natural here in the beginning.
Maybe noticing where you feel your breath the most in your body.
Noticing any areas of heaviness.
Letting your breath open up those tights,
Intense corners of your body here.
Pulling your breath all the way into the base of your belly.
Feel your shoulders gently soften down your back.
Your neck gently relaxes.
The muscles around your face can softly release.
You breathe deeper into the supportive and steady stream of your breath.
And you notice when we bring this little bit of awareness into your breath how it naturally begins to deepen and the body intuitively starts to soften and relax.
Take three more big full clearing and settling breaths here.
Deep inhale into your belly.
Exhale,
Letting it go.
Two more just like that big full belly breath.
And release.
Last one.
And returning back to your natural pace of breath.
Maybe taking your hands now,
Placing them on your physical body.
Anywhere that calls to you.
Maybe pressing your palms into your thighs.
Reaching around to grab your arms.
Maybe your feet.
Your chest.
Wherever you intuitively want to go,
Just take a moment to connect with that physical form.
Helps us to take our awareness,
Moving it out from the head and into the body.
Sometimes our mind is so busy with worries and tasks.
Our body is so often on alert and tense.
Maybe just gently give yourself a little massage,
Letting yourself know that it's okay to relax here.
And softly bringing your attention into your heart space.
You can release your hands back down into your lap or wherever is comfortable.
Allow your awareness to drift your breath into that center of your chest.
We're going to set our intention here in our meditation,
Finding the intention that rings true with our heart.
Maybe asking yourself here from this big open space in your chest,
What am I looking to create during this phase of my life?
Listening for the answer of your heart here.
This isn't what you feel like you should be doing.
This isn't what others are expecting you to do.
This is your intention,
A resolution that makes your heart sing.
It could be something that you're ready to draw more of into your life.
Or it could be something that you're ready to let go of,
Something you've had enough of.
What am I looking to create during this phase of my life?
And we'll take that intention and turn it into an affirmative statement,
Our own personal mantra.
A statement that embodies presence as if you already fulfilled your intention.
So taking that desire of your heart,
That heart centered intention and turn it into an affirmative statement.
I am,
I have,
Maybe I release,
Embodying that presence as if it's already true.
Maybe something like I am inspired to create,
I have excitement for new opportunities,
Or I release the fear of the unknown.
Repeat your affirmation a few times in your mind and let it sink into your heart.
Let it permeate your being until it becomes an unshakable truth.
Go ahead and take a full big breath in,
Let it go.
Carrying your mantra with you,
Slowly come back into your body through your breath.
Begin to gently wiggle the tips of your fingers and your toes,
Softly opening up your eyes.
From here you're welcome to grab your journal,
Maybe just a piece of paper,
And writing out your intention and anything else that comes to mind here will be a very powerful practice.
