This journey is ideally done within nature.

So if you are fortunate enough to have a piece of grass that you can lie on,

Or a tree you can lie under,

Please feel free to find a comfortable place outdoors to practice.

If this is not the case,

You can still do this indoors and use the magnificent power of your imagination to imagine and see the beauty of nature around you.

So get in comfortable as you find a place to sit or lie down.

For now,

Keeping your eyes open,

As you soften your jaw,

Take a deep breath in,

Sinking into the present.

I invite you to take a look around you and see what you can see that is connected to nature,

Whether it be a blade of grass,

A grain of sand,

Trees,

The leaves,

Or the open blue sky.

Just for a moment,

Take it in without any connection to stories or thoughts.

Just seeing it,

Seeing her,

Mother Nature,

For what she is right in front of you.

And if you can,

Focus on a plant or a tree,

A shrub,

Something that breathes out oxygen.

As you take a deep breath in,

You feel this gift of oxygen coming from the tree.

And as you breathe out,

You feel this tree or plant accepting the gift of your carbon dioxide from it.

Breathing in,

Receiving as the tree gives.

Breathing out,

Giving as the tree receives.

And as you find your rhythm with this beautiful plant,

When you feel ready,

You may close your eyes or keep them open if you are staying connected,

Physically connected.

And breathe.

Receiving with humility and gratitude.

Breathing out,

Giving with a smile on your face and a whole heart.

As the leaves rustle,

Each time your out-breath tickles them and they give a little shiver of joy.

As your heart flutters,

Each time the plant gives to you and you feel that shiver of joy.

Connected in this beautiful web,

The ebb and flow of breath,

Of air,

Of earth.

As you begin to imagine that your out-breath and that of the trees starts to come into physical form.

Perhaps you see it as little threads of gold or silver light.

Or little sparkles,

Particles moving between the two of you.

You take a look around and you see that these little threads are not only between you and the plant,

But between the plant and the blades of grass,

You and the grass,

The grains of sand and soil and the tree,

The sky and the clouds,

The flowers and the shrubs,

The little ants and the creatures,

The bugs,

The winged ones,

The furred ones.

The creepy crawlers and everything in between.

All connected with these little threads of light.

All connected with one breath.

Seeing this beauty and knowing that you are a part,

A pivotal part in this thing called life.

As you slowly start to bring your awareness and your senses closer to you,

You take one final look of awe and wonder at the magnificence around you,

Knowing that it is around you,

She is around you,

Infinitely.

So as you slowly connect back to the sensations of your breath,

Drawing your senses back towards yourself,

You start to feel the weight of your body,

The sensations of a breeze on your skin,

Perhaps rubbing your fingers and wiggling your toes,

Bringing back a little bit of movement back to your body,

Connecting to a few deep breaths as you ground yourself back into the here and now with your in-breaths stretching,

Perhaps above your head,

Stretching from fingers to toes,

Coming back,

Coming back,

Coming back,

Releasing it as you sigh out and perhaps doing that one more time.

Deep inhale with a beautiful stretch and letting it go.

If your eyes have been closed,

Taking a moment to slowly open them and marvel at the wonder around you and then take just one last moment to look at the marvel of you as you perhaps take a look at your hands and your fingers,

Gently moving them,

Knowing that you are part of the sacred web of life.

Thank you.

Namaste.
