Healing The Body Through White Light
White light is the space within the universe that houses positive energies. It can be called upon by anyone for assistance, healing, and protection from negative energies or vibrations. In this meditation, each of your chakras will be bathed in the presence of a healing, white light.
Transcript
White Light Meditation Take the next few moments to settle into a relaxed position.
Allow yourself to either settle into a seat,
Lie on the ground,
Or find any other position that feels comfortable and safe to you.
You may have your hands folded in your lap,
Maybe resting by your side,
Or resting on your legs.
Allow yourself to settle into this physical space,
Becoming heavier throughout your body,
Releasing any tension that you feel in your hips,
Your thighs,
Or your feet.
Allow your body to be fully supported by the earth underneath you.
Begin by bringing your awareness to your shoulders.
With your next easy breath out,
Allow your shoulders to lower,
To release,
And to give way to gravity.
Bring your attention to your jaw.
With your next exhale,
Allow for the tension in your jaw to release.
With loving kindness,
Give yourself permission to be here,
Understanding that your mind might wander,
And that is what it was built to do.
And if you notice that your thoughts start to wander,
Gently guide your thoughts back to the next breath,
Bringing yourself back to the present moment,
Maybe the sound of my voice,
Or your next inhale.
Begin to notice your breath.
No need to breathe in any particular way.
Just bring attention to each part of the breath,
The inhale,
The exhale,
And the space in between.
Become aware of how with your in-breath,
Your chest rises and your belly expands,
And with your breath out,
Your chest falls and belly softens.
Let go of any resistance to the movement of the breath.
Gently allow one breath to organically follow the next.
As you start to release control,
You start to notice that the breath that you have is constant and is always happening,
Usually without your involvement.
Now,
Fully give yourself permission to surrender completely to the natural inhales and the natural exhales.
If you haven't already,
Gently flutter the eyes closed,
Maintaining that easy,
Natural breath.
Start to visualize a white light shining before you.
Imagine that this white light starts out very small and begins to grow and expand,
And it's this ball,
Almost,
That you can hold within the palm of your hands.
White light is the space within the universe that houses positive energies.
It can be called upon by anyone for assistance,
Healing,
And protection from negative energies or vibrations.
This white light cannot be used to harm anyone or anything,
Nor can it be harmed in any way.
Hold this bright,
White,
Shining ball in the palm of your hands,
And look down as it sends out this white aura.
It glimmers.
Think about this white light as having the ability to wash or cleanse anything that is brought to it.
Whatever is brought to this white light comes away pure and refreshed.
On your next breath in,
In your mind's eye,
Slowly start to bring this white light that is in the palm of your hands and bring it up towards the crown of your head.
Gently set this white light on the crown of your head,
Placing it at the top.
As you gently place this white light at the crown of your head,
Start to notice how it begins to cover your whole head,
And it blows down your body ever so slowly,
Almost as if it has been cracked open,
And this white light,
This pure,
Refreshing aura is trickling down over your body,
Purifying and refreshing.
Once this white light has covered the expanse of your body,
Bring your full attention towards your feet.
Notice how your feet are still heavy,
Maybe resting on the floor,
Maybe if you're lying down,
Your toes are turned outwards.
Focus on this white light at your feet,
Purifying and refreshing this area.
Our feet symbolize groundedness,
And when you are grounded you feel centered,
Solid,
Strong,
Balanced,
And can release tension.
Allow a few moments here to invite groundedness,
Purity,
And refreshment to this area of your body.
Now notice as the white light starts to illuminate the area around your midsection.
As this white light shines in your midsection,
Notice the sensations it creates in your body.
Notice any emotions or thoughts that might be present.
And if there is nothing here today,
That's okay too.
This is where you hold your power,
Your individuality,
And your identity.
From here comes our passion and our courage.
And I invite you in this time to recognize what this space needs today.
As you allow this white light to rest in this area and to illuminate this space,
For the next few breaths,
Allow this white light to wash anything out that is making you feel lesser,
Troubled,
Or out of control.
Harness this light to restore the power within you.
Continue to move up the body and notice how the light begins to illuminate in your chest and your heart space.
Allow yourself to show a little bit more affection here.
You may have a message for your heart,
Or perhaps your heart has a message for you.
Give this white light permission to cleanse and refresh any heartbreak that lies here.
Allow your heart to feel whole.
Give your heart permission to beat for what makes you feel passion.
Give yourself permission to love.
Allow some time here,
Connecting with your heart space.
Notice as this white light begins to illuminate your throat.
Maybe.
.
.
By pausing here,
We give space to become aware of all that your voice does for you.
This can be the voice that you project and share with others,
But it also includes the inner voice that only you can hear.
Notice all the wisdom and knowledge that your voice holds.
Notice that it's able to connect you to others where we find love and connection.
And also notice if you have found that your inner voice has been quite a harsh critic.
Allow for this white light to wash out negative thoughts,
Harmful,
Intrusive inner voice criticisms.
Give yourself permission to say something kind to yourself here.
Finally,
Let's move into your head space.
Notice as the white light illuminates the front of your forehead,
The space in between your eyebrows shining bright.
Take a nice,
Deep,
Slow breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Allow this white light to shine brightly in this space,
Refreshing our thoughts.
The mind,
When left unsupervised,
Will replay the past or devise the future.
When we are in this head space,
We're left without ever honestly experiencing the here and the now.
Acknowledge that this is a normal function of the brain,
But give yourself the space to shift your attention to your breath and to this white light.
And as you inhale,
The white light expands.
And as you exhale,
It shrinks.
Allow for this white light to shine into all of the dark shadows of our brain,
The corners from which we do not peek into.
Give this white light permission to purify and to refresh.
Give this white light the opportunity to anchor you in your present moment.
And for the next few moments,
Let this white light clear out where any anxiety hides.
Allow it to loosen your grip on any stale narratives that might be resting in your mind space.
Be present with this light.
Center your attention on only the breath now.
And as we near the end of this practice,
Flow through three more cycles of deep breathing.
Take a big inhale through the nose and an exhale through the mouth.
Again,
A nice deep cleansing breath in,
Filling up the lungs,
Finding all points of this white light combined to shine out of you.
Exhale,
Let it go.
Good.
One more like that.
Deep breath in.
Connect to the white light throughout your body.
And exhale,
Let it go.
Remember that this white light is always within you.
It is always available.
And when you feel stuck or troubled in a certain area,
Give this white light permission,
This small pinprick-sized light,
Give it permission to grow within you,
To shine brightly,
To refresh,
And to clear out.
Give this white light permission to renew.
As you feel ready,
Allow for your eyes to gently flutter open.
Get reacquainted with your surroundings and prepare to reengage with this day.
Maybe allow for gentle movement to enter into the body by wiggling fingers and toes,
Maybe rocking the head side to side or loosening up the shoulders.
Place one hand on your heart and then the other hand on top.
Give yourself a moment of gratitude for this practice.
I invite you to stay in this space for as long as you need.
Thank you for allowing me to guide you through this meditation.
