There are nature sounds accompanying this meditation – forest, waves, and birds. Using loose principles from Ayurveda, you are taken through an internal guided meditation journey. Connect with your inner nature.

In your comfortable meditation position,

Either seated on the floor or on a chair with your feet on the ground if you're in a chair,

Or lying down.

Palms placed left,

Palm and right if you're seated.

Palms open facing up with your lying tongue.

Taking a deep breath in.

Holding the breath.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

And long slow breath out.

One more deep breath in.

Holding the breath for one,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

And taking a long slow breath out.

Letting your breath return to normal.

Just listening to the nature sounds in the background.

Imagining you are right now.

In a beautiful forest by the sea.

It's a beautiful sunny day.

You feel warm.

Waves are lapping gently on the shore.

The birds are tweeting.

Everything is beautiful.

Connecting our inner selves.

Connecting with our inner selves,

We recognize that outer nature is a reflection of our inner nature.

So just as in this beautiful forest by the sea,

There is space.

Beautiful breeze flowing.

Lapping water of the sea.

The earth beneath us supporting us.

The heat also coming from the sun.

All of these elements are also within you.

So we start with connecting with our inner space.

So on the in breath,

Breathe deep into the heart center and imagine the vision opening up a space there.

With each in breath,

More space opens up in the heart center.

Slowly the space expands beyond the heart center.

Into the chest,

Belly,

Up into the head,

Arms,

Legs,

Feet and hands.

Feeling our inner space.

Realizing what it feels like this space inside.

Imagine you are looking now out from the forest where you sit,

Over the sea,

Far away towards the horizon.

All you see is space.

Looking inside,

We recognize the same space within.

In our,

Noticing the waves lapping on the shore,

The vast ocean in front.

Coming in with our inner water.

So the human body is made up mostly of water.

Setting in with the sensation of liquidity,

Water flowing inside you.

Just as the ocean is vast and deep,

Full of infinite drops of water all together,

Inside of you also can access your own flowing inner ocean,

Inner water.

Often associated with emotions.

So just as emotions flow in and occupy our inner space for some time and flow out,

Our outer insides constantly flowing.

Moving from water we feel the earth underneath us.

We feel the solidity of the earth.

The support,

The foundation,

The unmovingness of this earth.

And putting your hands into the dirt beside you in this forest.

So just as the earth is a constant in our outer world,

We also hold within us this element,

This earth within our bones.

This is our own strong grounding foundation,

Holding us together,

Keeping us centered and grounded.

Setting into your earthly nature,

Your inner earth.

Supporting your bone structure,

Supporting your whole body in the form of the skeleton.

Recognizing the similarity between the outer and the inner earth.

From here moving to the element air.

So imagining you're in this forest,

Looking out to sea,

And a gentle breeze comes up,

Almost caresses your cheeks,

Your arms,

Your legs.

Beautiful cooling breeze.

Breathing this breeze in as you inhale,

Long slow inhale,

And long slow exhale.

See if you can really make your breathing audible.

Long slow inhale,

Long slow exhale out the mouth.

Starting with the element air,

Our life force,

The element,

The lightest element in our bodies,

In constant flow and movement throughout our lungs,

Sending oxygen throughout our whole body via our blood cells.

Breathing inwardly with the element air.

As without,

So within.

Feeling the lightness,

The spaciousness,

The movement,

The dynamism of this element air,

The vitality that each breath brings you.

The more air you allow in,

The more vitality,

The more prana comes into your body.

And moving from the element air to the element fire or heat.

So coming back to our visualization,

Sitting in the forest,

Imagining bright ray of sunlight coming through the trees.

And bathing you in this beautiful warmth,

Beautiful feeling of warmth and light.

Connecting inwardly with our inner fire element.

Be at a constant temperature around 36 to 37 degrees.

Constant warm fire emanating from deep within,

Keeping you warm at all times.

Maintaining your metabolism,

Maintaining all of the amazing processes constantly happening within your organs and your digestive system.

This heat energy is absolutely vital.

Coming in,

Connecting in with heat.

And as you do this,

Bringing your right hand and just placing it over the area of your solar plexus.

So right in the middle of your core.

So just below the rib cage and just above the belly.

This is solar plexus,

Understood in the yoga philosophy as the center of willpower and determination.

So from this place,

We decide to create,

Act,

Manifest our desires out into the world.

And this solar plexus is associated with the element fire.

So the fire energy,

The heat,

Helps you to take action on your wishes and desires.

So just with your hand placed there,

Connecting in with this element heat here in your solar plexus.

Feeling the heat emanating from your solar plexus.

Feeling this heat slowly moving through your whole body,

Radiating up into the upper part of the body,

Into the heart,

Into the head,

Down the arms and down into the hips,

Pelvic region,

Thighs,

Lower legs and into the ankles and the feet.

Connecting with heat.

So bringing all our elements together.

I am space,

Water,

Earth,

Air and fire.

My inner nature is a reflection of the outer nature.

All these elements combine within me to support my life force.

All these elements in harmony working together,

Supporting me.

Anytime you are feeling perhaps a lack of space inside because you are occupied by thoughts,

Or you are pulled in various directions by emotion,

Then come back to this inner space.

Connecting with space.

If you are feeling very heavy and stuck and lethargic,

You can come back to your inner air nature.

Connect in with the air inside of you,

Connect with your breath,

Feeling the lightness of the breath lifting you up,

Helping you to feel a lightness of spirit.

Anytime you are feeling the opposite,

Perhaps too,

Light,

Perhaps a lightheadedness like a bubble,

Like you're floating up off the earth into the stratosphere,

You can come and connect in with your inner earth element.

Feel the earth grounding you,

Connecting you back to the mother,

The ultimate mother,

The mother earth.

Connecting you back to your support.

If you are feeling at any time extremely stuck in some way or another,

So perhaps stuck in a life situation,

Stuck in a thinking pattern,

Stuck in a feeling which will not shift,

Come and connect in with your inner water,

Your inner ocean.

Feel the waves inside constantly flowing in and flowing out just the same as on the seashore.

Feel into the depths of your ocean,

Feel its movement,

Feel the emotions constantly flowing,

Allow them to flow.

Allow them to bring the information to inform you and then flow out back into the ocean.

And if you find yourself really wanting to do something and really needing to create something but you find yourself stuck in self-doubt or patterns of overthinking,

Then this is the time to connect in with your fire energy,

Your inner fire,

Your heat.

Connect in with your solar plexus and use this fire power to get moving and take the appropriate actions.

So everything has its natural arising,

Earth becoming and death.

Us as human beings and then also all of the different phenomena that happen in our life.

Being,

Becoming,

Being and then passing away.

Come back and connect at any time with your inner nature to remind you of this,

To remind you of the truth,

To bring you back to your truth,

Knowing that you are an integral part of the nature of the whole and inside of you is a reflection or a microcosm,

Reflection of the microcosm,

You contain all of these elements within you.

Connecting back in with the air element,

The breath,

Inhaling,

Holding the breath for one,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Exhale,

Inhale,

Hold the breath for one,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

Seven,

Eight,

Nine,

Release.

This brings to a close our inner nature meditation.

Many blessings to you.

May you be well.

May you be happy and may you have inner peace.
