Transcript

Start by closing your eyes and taking three deep breaths.

And through the nose and out through the mouth.

As you settle into a natural rhythm,

Allowing yourself to breathe with ease.

Know that throughout this practice,

You may hear sounds inside,

Outside,

All around you.

Know that these are not distractions,

Not disruptions.

Simply life happening around us as we sit and breathe.

Begin to notice the mind as it wanders,

Jumping from thought to thought.

I invite you to gently guide and bring your attention and focus to your stomach or chest.

And as you breathe in,

Feeling them rise,

With each exhale,

Feeling them fall.

Taking your thoughts and again,

Guiding your awareness back to your breath,

Allowing yourself to be a passenger,

Observing each thought as it passes by,

Holding no attachment and releasing it fully with each breath.

Reminding yourself gently as you continue to breathe.

That each thought as it enters your mind is neither good nor bad,

Is neither right nor wrong.

It is simply a thought.

Breathing.

Using the mind as it wanders,

Releasing the thought,

Returning your attention to focus on your breath.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Allowing yourself to release and let go of any expectations,

Any judgments,

Any reservations you hold of this practice.

Just allowing yourself to sit and breathe.

Gifting yourself the opportunity to become comfortable in the silence.

There is stillness within yourself.

Knowing that it is safe to just sit and breathe.

Bringing your attention to each breath.

In and out.

Inhaling and exhaling.

Breathing and releasing.

As we come to this space of complete relaxation,

Allow your body to relax in the stillness.

Gifting yourself.

Moment ease.

Moment of peace.

Moment of divine surrender.

When you are ready,

Begin to slowly wiggle your fingers and toes,

Fluttering your eyes open and bringing yourself back to the present moment.

Love you.

You
