How often do we doubt ourselves or hide ourselves? How often are we unapologetically ourselves? In this meditation, I help tap into the parts of you that make you...well you! I believe that we all have an incredible gift to give the world, but we need to unwrap it first and that starts with this meditation. Join me as I give you the confidence to be all you were made to be.

The purpose of this meditation is twofold,

Firstly to uncover your true self and secondly to be confident enough to show it.

Get into a nice comfortable seat,

Sit up nice and tall,

Straight back,

Shoulders back.

Confidence can start simply by how we hold ourselves,

So make sure you're holding yourself in a proud way,

As a person that is to be reckoned with.

Begin to breathe in and out,

Becoming aware of your breath.

Now take command of each breath,

Becoming its leader but also its listener,

Telling each breath to be long and calm and then hearing what the breath has to tell you about yourself.

This is your time,

Right here and right now,

Without the need for the future or the past.

Everything you need is well within you.

All you have to do is connect to it.

Use that breath now to feed that seed of your divine being that's buried within you.

See if you can just feel that divine self.

We've touched on it before,

That feeling of who you could be.

You just need a slight feeling and then use each breath to let that feeling get bigger and gain momentum.

It doesn't matter how deep the seed is buried,

Just like a load of seed waiting in the mud ready to be a sacred flower.

With each breath,

Feed the seed.

Expand this feeling of your own specialness.

Let it feel like it goes from a small point to getting bigger with each breath until it encapsulates your entire body.

Feel that specialness run through your veins,

Down your arms,

Into your fingertips,

Down your legs,

Into your toes,

Up your spine,

Into your face.

Now,

As we connect with this feeling inside,

You may come across some feelings of resistance.

I'm no good.

I have no talent.

I'm unlovable.

Each time you come across one of these thoughts,

I want you to dig them out with your breath.

Imagine your breath is like a trowel and your inhale strikes that trowel under the thought and the exhale prizes it out of its place,

Roots and all.

Thoughts like these are weeds of your parasodiacal garden.

Feed them out as soon as they arise.

Now begin to look for elements that remain once these weeds are gone.

These special elements of you.

They may be hard to see,

Especially if you have neglected them over the years.

So use the next few breaths to recall the things that make you,

You.

Your quirks,

Your idiosyncrasies,

Your strange habits.

One of my strange habits is having the compulsion to talk to everyone,

Including my cats.

It's geeking out over facts about philosophy and telling the next person I see whatever I've just learned,

Whether they want to hear it or not.

Again,

This includes my cats.

What are your strange habits?

Who are you when you're alone?

Who are you when you're around those that love you?

Now imagine your breath nourishes these parts like the sun and water nourishes a plant.

Deep breath in.

Deep breath out.

Deep breath in.

Deep breath out.

Deep breath in.

And deep breath out.

Now remind yourself of all the things you've accomplished,

No matter how small,

Starting with today.

Making your bed,

That's a win.

Brushing your teeth,

That's a win for everyone.

Going to work,

Another win.

Being nice to someone,

Massive win.

Think of all the little wins in your life today already.

Now think of any other accomplishments,

Your family,

Your friends,

Your series of wins that have got you to this point today.

You see,

You are still here and there's a reason for it.

Now embrace those wins as they come up and embody them with the next three breaths.

Now lastly,

Remind yourself that the world needs you,

The authentic you,

The unusual you,

The fabulous you.

Now use the next three breaths to remind yourself that the world needs you,

The authentic you,

The unusual you,

The fabulous you.

I'll end this meditation with a quote from Marianne Williamson.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light,

Not our darkness,

That frightens us most.

We ask ourselves,

Who am I to be brilliant,

Gorgeous,

Talented,

Fabulous?

Actually,

Who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your plain small does not serve the world.

Now go out there and show this world what you've got.

Namaste.

As always,

I hope you enjoyed that meditation.

I hope you're feeling pumped up and ready to show the world what you've got.

If you would like a little bit more support doing that,

Then go check out my course,

How to Bloom This Spring.

You'll find more techniques just like this in there.

I look forward to seeing you in there.
