When you're ready,
Find somewhere comfortable to sit.
Find a comfortable position.
And just give yourself a little shoulder roll,
Head roll,
Side to side.
Just sort of physically moving any residual tension out of the body and give yourself a shake.
And when you're ready in your own time,
Take a deep inhale and exhale.
Allow the shoulders to fall away from the ears and then gently close the eyes.
Continue to breathe here,
Pay attention to the breath.
And then you can imagine the breath as a tool for cleansing any negativity out of the body.
So whatever tension,
Negative thoughts,
Or toxicity you might be feeling inside,
Just allow that breath to clear it.
And you can visually imagine this happening.
So on the inhale,
You're drawing clear,
Positive energy in,
Kind of wiping the inside of the body clean,
The inside of the mind clean.
And on the exhale,
You're pushing out whatever tension,
Whatever negativity,
Whatever buildup might be there,
Just letting it go with the breath.
As a way to focus the mind here and tune in,
I want you to take this cleansing breath 10 times.
So count the breaths starting now,
Starting with an inhale.
So count the breaths starting now,
Starting with an inhale.
And you're done your 10 breaths,
Just check in to see how you feel.
Do you notice any change?
The breath is probably your most important breath.
So you're gonna notice a little bit of change in your breathing,
But you're gonna notice that the breath is still there.
The breath is probably your most powerful tool in meditation.
It's your tool to coming back to the present.
It's your tool for stepping back from thoughts,
Stories,
And distractions that come up during meditation.
It's your tool to step back,
Not necessarily to get rid of those thoughts,
Stories,
And distractions,
But just to step away from them.
And this is so key in how we choose to live our day,
How we choose to react and respond to things.
Our mood and mental state are so important to our happiness.
It impacts our lives and the lives of those around us.
And especially the energy that we put out into the universe.
When that energy is negative,
Or you're not feeling quite right,
It does an open opportunity to draw positive things inwards.
Whereas on the other hand,
When we are feeling like our best selves,
It's often that we see more positivity being drawn into our lives.
So that cleansing breath is a great way,
And I hope you're still doing it now,
To let go of the negativity that we harbor.
Maybe you're feeling a slight shift in the body,
I invite you to envision a glow at your heart center,
Your sternum or your breastbone,
That area where the solar plexus lies.
Just imagine a light there.
Imagine those breaths as you take them,
To just feed that light,
To feed that glow.
There's a warmth there.
You might envision the glow to have a specific color,
But set your intention for that glowing light to be one of positivity,
Gratitude,
Love,
Wellness,
Happiness,
All the good things that you want to draw into your mental state right now.
With every inhale,
That glow expands.
Imagine it seeping into all parts of your body,
Imagine it seeping into all parts of your body.
Keep feeding that glow with your breath.
And if you feel comfortable with it,
Allow that glow to rise up into your face,
Actually right into the muscles of your face.
Pay close attention to how it can release any tension you're holding there.
Maybe if you feel comfortable,
That glow could even bring a smile to your face,
A lightness,
A brightness there that wasn't there before.
Breathe into it,
And as that glow radiates through you,
Let's take three deep inhales here.
Inhale,
Exhale,
Inhale,
And exhale.
Exhale,
Inhale,
And exhale,
Sighing all the air out.
Gently inspire gentle movements into the body.
I invite you to stay here for as long as it feels good.
When you're ready,
You can lightly open the eyes,
Come back into the space,
Give yourself a squeeze,
And go on your day feeling refreshed.
You put in the work.
Thanks for being here.
