Hello everyone,
My name is Thais de la Zunna and today I'm going to show you the Pranayama Anuloma Velloma.
I invite you to sit in a chair or on the floor with your legs crossed and your back straight.
Anuloma Velloma,
Also known as alternate nostril breathing,
Is one of the most beneficial breathing exercises.
It can improve the functioning of the lungs,
Respiratory issues such as asthma and chest infection.
It also improves patience,
Focus and control,
Relieves stress and anxiety,
Improves the brain and the cardiovascular health,
And gives you a better general sense of well-being.
Anuloma Velloma Pranayama is also known as Nadesodhana Pranayama.
When it is practiced frequently,
It's possible to control the subtle pranic energy,
The vital force,
The bioenergy,
The prana.
The prana flows through the Ida and Pingala Nades or channels,
And they help to restore the balance between the two hemispheres of the brain,
Bringing more mental balance,
Clarity of mind and tranquility.
Anuloma Velloma is helpful to prepare the body and mind for meditation.
So let's start the Anuloma Velloma practice.
I invite you to sit in a chair or on the floor with your back straight.
With your right hand,
Join the thumb and the index finger,
And with the middle finger,
Close the nostrils.
This is called Ching Mudra.
We start closing the right nostril.
Inhale through the left.
Hold the breath as much as you can.
Change the nostril and exhale through the right.
Hold the breath without air as much as you can.
Inhale through the right nostril.
Hold the breath as much as you can.
Change the nostril and exhale through the left.
Hold without air as much as you can.
Let's start another cycle.
Close your eyes.
Inhale through the left nostril.
Hold the air.
Change the nostril.
Exhale through the right.
Hold the air.
Inhale right.
Hold.
Change the nostril.
Exhale left.
Hold without air.
Inhale left.
Hold.
Exhale right.
Hold.
Inhale right.
Hold.
Exhale left.

Feel free to do Anuloma Viloma Pranayama for at least 10 cycles.
Let's start the next cycle using Pranamudra.
Bring your middle and index finger on a point between your eyebrows.
And use the thumb and the ring finger to close your nostrils.
Do it on your own rhythm.
Inhale left.
Hold.
Exhale right.
Hold.
Inhale right.
Hold.
Exhale left.
Hold.
Inhale left.

Exhale right.

Now I invite you to bring your hand on your thighs with the palms facing up.
Join your thumb and index finger in Chimudra.
Or bring one hand on top of the other on your lap.
Keep your eyes closed and bring your focus on one point between your eyebrows.
Whenever you realize a thought is coming through,
Let it go and bring back your focus on the point between your eyebrows.
I hope you had a great time and enjoy the benefits of Anulomu Villoma.
Namaste.
