You can settle in with your spine upright,
Regal.
Majestic,
Self-possessed.
With your heart area open.
And relaxed at ease.
And bringing your attention to your breath.
Just noticing whatever the breath is doing right now.
Without trying to control it or manipulate it.
Just observing.
Feeling the breath as it passes through your nostrils.
Noticing if there is a change in temperature or the moistness of the breath as you inhale and as you exhale.
Noticing the sensation of the breath.
As it moves into your chest.
The feeling of your ribs expanding and relaxing.
Your diaphragm.
Gently moving up and down.
Feeling how the breath fills your tummy.
Your belly gently rising and falling.
Like a sleeping baby.
Just noticing how the body knows how to breathe.
Without any effort.
Lightly scanning your awareness.
Through your body.
Starting at the top of your head.
Noticing anything you feel.
Tightness or relaxation.
Your forehead.
Feeling how your upper eyelids gently rest on the lower lids.
How your lips gently touch.
Scanning your awareness down through your neck and shoulders.
Feeling the sensation of your clothing against your skin.
Noticing if you have any areas of tension or contraction.
And just breathing some space into those areas.
Just letting the body relax.
Scanning your attention down through your arms.
To your hands.
And feeling the energy in your hands.
The energy in your fingers.
And scanning your awareness down through your torso.
Bring your attention to your heart area.
The warm glow of your heart.
Down through your belly.
And your hips.
Scanning your attention down through your legs.
Down to your feet and toes.
And inviting the whole body to relax.
Bring your awareness to your mind.
Just with curious distance.
Just noticing anything that's filtering through the mind.
Any old static thoughts that come and go.
Just noticing what the mind is doing.
Without grasping onto it.
Without pushing it away.
Just.
.
.
Just noticing.
And then noticing.
.
.
The noticing itself.
The awareness that's noticing the mind.
That clear light of awareness.
Always residing deep in your heart center.
Calm.
Never disturbed.
The awareness that observes the breath.
Observes the body.
Observes the mind.
With love and tenderness.
The awareness that calmly and serenely.
.
.
Takes it all in.
With a sense of wonder.
Aliveness.
Just enjoying being a human being.
Having this body,
Drawing this breath.
Living this day.
And noticing how that awareness.
.
.
Is rooted deeply into the earth.
Like a great tree.
Connected.
.
.
To all the other trees in the forest.
Connected to the earth itself.
Silently drawing energy.
.
.
Out of the soil.
And how that awareness.
.
.
Reaches up.
.
.
Through the branches of this beautiful tree.
To bask in the sunlight.
To draw energy and strength.
.
.
And vitality from the sun itself.
And how it needs nothing else.
How it can never be disturbed from this rootedness.
And knowing that whenever awareness notices the craving mind.
.
.
Returning to the old default.
.
.
That you can call to mind this rootedness.
This majesty.
This depth of being.
That is always available to you.
That is who you are.
Knowing you can always take that sacred pause.
.
.
To reconnect.
.
.
With this rootedness.
This strength.
.
.
And majesty of your being.
That in moments when you begin to feel untethered.
.
.
Which will come and go as happens for all people.
.
.
That you can notice the untethering.
.
.
And remember the roots.
Remember that.
.
.
You are deeply grounded in this truth of yourself.
This subterranean connection to all of life that feeds and sustains you.
And that enough is a feast.
And at any moment through the sacred pause you can taste that feast.
Always within you.
Remembering that.
.
.
That what you long for,
What your beautiful heart longs for.
.
.
Is within you.
Has always been within you.
And wants to be discovered.
And to be tasted and enjoyed as the essence of who you are.
And hardly tasting your own essence.
And feeling the joy of that.
The joy of your own being.
The exhilaration.
.
.
Always being who you are.
Growing higher into the sky,
Rooting more deeply into the soil.
Always growing.
Changing.
Lengthening.
Enough is a feast.
You are your own feast.
You can trust yourself.
Whether at home or away.
Whether bored or exhilarated.
Whether tired or happy.
It doesn't matter.
You can trust yourself.
This essence of you is always there.
Your rootedness.
Your growth.
Your ascension into the sky.
Solid and powerful and rooted.
May you with each passing day.
.
.
Taste more and more this essence of who you are.
The depth and beauty of your own being.
And may you feel deeply how that is enough.
You are enough.
May you and all beings be safe and free and protected from inner and outer harm.
May you be happy and contented.
May you be healthy and whole.
May you experience ease of well-being.
May all beings be happy.
May all beings be at peace.
May all beings know their true selves.
May all beings be free.
May all beings be free.
