This is the 2nd of three meditations that build on each other but can be done separately. They are inspired by Dr. Patrick MacManaway's book "Cultivating Your Light Body." In this meditation, we develop our awareness of heart-centered consciousness to include our primary alignment, the center spindle, or the vertical axis of our personal globe of consciousness and intelligence. Once heart-centered, the practice uses a cycle of witness and blessing to specifically heal and renew patterns of trauma and displacement that we may be holding within or around us. This is the second of three progressive meditations that build on each other,

But each one can be done separately.

It's inspired by practices described in Dr.

Patrick McManoway's book titled Cultivating Your Light Body.

If you like this meditation,

You will like the book as well.

Begin by finding a comfortable position,

Sitting or standing with your spine open to its full upright length,

Letting your heart area be open,

Letting your body be balanced and at ease.

Allowing your mind to relax out of a posture of control into an attitude of peaceful and pleasant witness.

Letting the body and the mind come into a natural resting tone of balance and alignment.

Letting the body and the mind feel bright,

Peaceful,

A sense of aliveness,

And then gently bringing a smile to your face,

Smiling at your heart,

Allowing your whole body to pick up on that smile and send it into the center of your chest,

Smiling at the heart from the smile on your face.

If it feels a little silly,

Well,

Let yourself be silly.

If you don't feel particularly smiley right now,

Just play with it,

Just give it a try.

Smiling at your heart from the smile on your face,

Smiling at your heart from the soles of your feet,

Smiling at your heart from the tips of your fingers,

Smiling at your heart from the top of your head.

As you do this,

As you feel the warmth and the love and the gratitude arriving into your heart from every part of your body,

Transfer your awareness to that of being your heart,

Receiving this love.

Gradually expand your awareness of being the heart,

Receiving,

Until your primary awareness is of being your heart entirely.

You are your heart,

Feeling the heart as the center of organizing intelligence in your body,

The center of your being.

Experience yourself as your heart radiating light and love to the rhythm and pulse of your being throughout your body.

Notice how your heart is your vibrational source of intelligence,

How the heart guides the breath,

How your heart guides your posture.

Feel the defining,

Renewing waves of your heart arriving into every part of your body,

Filling,

Renewing,

Brightening every part of your whole being.

You don't need to be feeling anything in particular right now,

You can't do this wrong.

Just play with the images,

Feeling yourself radiating out beyond the edge of your body and filling and defining the personal space around you,

The radiance that you are.

This process is not a trying,

It's not a striving,

It's a kind of resting.

Resting into a gentle,

Peaceful awareness of yourself as a radiant being,

A globe,

A ball or a bubble of light present in your surroundings,

Defined and renewed in a continual rhythmic flow of heart radiance,

Your own electromagnetic pulse.

And now allow yourself to become aware of your primary axis of alignment,

The alignment between the top of your head and the root of your pelvis,

The central channel of your invisible toroidal energy field,

An alignment passing centrally through the heart,

A column of light radiance,

A single,

Simple,

Balanced chord of subtle vibration,

Perfectly stable,

Like the spindle at the center of a gyroscope,

Like the gently vibrating string of a musical instrument.

And become aware of the extended connection of this vibrant core energy to the center of the planet,

Feel the downward pull of the earth,

The magnetic connection your heart holds with the center of the world,

The magnetic connection between your heart and the center of the world heart.

And then become aware of the vibrant connection from the heart upwards through the crown of your head to the source point of your soul self in the realms above.

Slowly draw your breath up from the heart of the planet,

Letting it mingle with the heart in your chest,

And pass up through the crown of your head to the realms above,

To your soul source.

And drawing your breath down from your soul source through the crown of your head,

Mingling with your heart and continuing down to the center of the earth,

To the earth's heart.

As your breath moves naturally up and down your spine,

Let these realms mingle in the alchemy of your heart,

Seeing how you are a channel connecting your soul source above and the planet's heart below.

Feel the strength and clarity and brightness of that connection,

A stable gyroscopic alignment connecting you to heaven and earth,

Heart centered,

In a natural state of flow.

With this central channel stable and bright,

Allow your awareness to extend outward in every direction to become fully aware of the personal radiant space surrounding you,

The whole of your light body,

Its depth and volume,

And the clear bright edges where it meets the surrounding world.

Notice the size and the shape of this globe,

This egg or sphere,

The bubble of your radiance.

Notice the edges of it,

Above you,

Below you,

To the right,

To the left,

Behind you,

And in front of you.

Let the whole of this space become increasingly bright and clear and perfectly defined at the edges.

Once you are feeling bright and stable,

Allow your integrated awareness to perceive any parts of you that are not at ease,

Maintaining your essential awareness of yourself as your heart,

Allow yourself to notice any patterns of tension within or around you,

Any patterns of unresolved trauma,

Any patterns of displacement or disintegration,

Bringing great gentleness to this noticing,

Noticing with great compassion.

Using your mind and the sensations of your body as your witness and your guide,

Allow the heart's radiance to reconnect and renew every part of you that you find in disharmony,

Allowing the heart's compassionate intelligence to surround,

Resolve,

And integrate all the patterns of energetic disharmony within your body and the radiant space surrounding you.

Allow your mind and your senses to guide the renewing intelligence of your heart to any part or edge of your radiant self that seems ill at ease,

And allow the heart to redefine your boundary with the world,

The edge of your radiance,

The edge of your personal space that you inhabit and that you are,

Allowing the heart to redefine and renew and heal all parts of that boundary,

Allowing the heart to fully redefine and renew the edge of your radiant globe until it appears to you as bright and clear,

Smooth and symmetrical,

Intact,

A safe and creative,

Friendly threshold at which to meet and engage with the world around you.

Continue the cycle of witnessing and guiding the heart to bring its healing intelligence throughout the space inside your body,

Throughout the space around your body,

And around the edge of your radiant space,

Until you feel a full,

Bright,

Clear,

And peaceful coherence throughout your entire sense of yourself.

Having done this,

Gently return to witnessing your breath,

Your breath drawing up from the heart of the planet,

Moving through your central channel,

Through the alchemy of your heart,

Up through the crown of your head,

Up to your soul source.

Drawing your breath down from your soul source,

Through the crown of your head,

Mingling through your heart,

Down the central channel of your body,

Down to the heart of the planet below.

And finally,

Allowing this integrated,

Clear,

Coherent sense of yourself to become natural and normal,

Your place to be in the world,

Your way to move through the world with natural ease and grace.
