Good morning and welcome to meditation at Austin Yoga Tree.

Today I thought we'd given the holidays and the fact that it's a little swirly these days,

You know,

That we would do some grounding,

A little clearing and some alignment and just try and get our own selves back to where we need to be centered and in alignment.

So go ahead and if you need to adjust yourself,

Make sure your sit bones are solidly under you and you're evenly distributed.

Allow your shoulders to drop away from your ears.

Let's start with taking some nice intentional breaths.

And we're going to breathe directly into your heart.

So from the back of your heart,

Space kind of between your shoulder blades,

Take a deep breath in and blow it out the front of your heart.

Let's do that two more times.

Breathe in from the back of your heart.

And release through the front.

One more time.

Breathing in.

Allow yourself to settle.

Now bring your attention to your root chakra,

The base of your spine,

Your tailbone,

Very tip.

Allow yourself to ground.

Imagine a root,

A tree root,

Extending down into the ground,

Down,

Down,

All the way to the center of the earth.

Allow your root to wrap around the core of the earth and secure.

Allow yourself to feel the strength and the stability,

The grounded safety of being connected to Mother Earth.

Allow the earth energy to flow up your root,

All the way up.

Flow in to your body.

Allow yourself to feel that solid,

Stable,

Safe energy connected to Mother Earth.

Now allow that root to widen,

Expand as wide as your body,

As wide as your energy field around you.

And allow it to become like a drain.

And all of the swirl of energy that has bombarded you this last week,

Conversations,

Work deadlines,

Anything,

Pardon me,

And everything that doesn't serve you right now,

Just let it drain away down your root,

Back down to Mother Earth's heart,

Where it will be recycled,

Turned into clean,

Fresh energy.

Allow yourself to let go of whatever's gone before today,

And whatever you have for later.

Just let it go.

Allow yourself to be here,

Right now,

In this moment.

Remember to breathe.

Maybe take another nice heart breath here,

In from the back of your heart.

And release from the front.

Allowing the stress,

The swirl,

To flow away.

Take a few more breaths here,

Intentionally calling yourself back here,

To your own heart.

Here,

In this moment.

Just you,

In your space.

And now,

Bring your attention to the very,

Very top of your head,

Your crown chakra.

And from this spot,

With your mind's eye,

Look up,

And allow yourself a connection,

From the top of your head,

From your crown,

Up to the divine,

Universal source,

God,

Goddess,

Love.

Allow that connection to firmly attach to the divine.

From here,

Allow yourself to receive whatever energy you need.

Universal source energy is like,

Oh,

Blood.

Works for everybody.

Allow it to flow down,

That beautiful cord you've created,

Into your crown,

And flow through your body,

Mixing with the earth energy,

Allowing you to fully come back to yourself.

Breathing in,

From the back of your heart,

And out from the front.

Allowing the earth energy,

And the divine energy,

To mix,

And mingle,

To fill you up with exactly what you need,

Right now.

Now,

Bring your attention to your heart.

We've opened it,

With some intentional breaths.

We've brought in calm,

Peaceful energy,

Loving energy.

We've called ourselves back home to our heart.

So,

From this place,

Where it's quiet,

Peaceful,

Where you are centered in your heart,

In your mind's eye,

Maybe,

Picture yourself there,

In the center of your heart,

As you are now,

Meditating,

Calm,

Centered.

And I invite you to ask yourself,

From this place,

That is wholly yours,

Your heart,

Your divine center,

Ask yourself,

Who am I,

When I'm at my best?

Who am I,

When I'm at my best?

And what may I do,

To serve my highest and best?

What may I do,

To serve my highest,

My best?

Remember to breathe,

Into your heart,

And out into your energy field,

Allowing your answers to arise,

And to gain clarity.

Who am I,

When I'm at my best?

And what may I do,

To serve my highest and best?

Now,

Take those answers,

And as if they were seeds,

Plant them in your heart,

Your intentions,

Your knowing of who you are,

When you are truly at your best,

And your intentions,

To serve your best.

Take another deep breath in,

From the back of your heart,

And when you release it,

Release it into the world.

Now,

Call to mind,

An image of yourself,

Completely fulfilled with that image that you've created,

Of who you are,

When you're at your best.

And from this place in your heart,

Send love to that image of yourself.

Release that image,

And call to mind,

An image of someone you love,

Maybe someone you'll be seeing during this holiday season.

And from this place of your highest,

Your best,

Send them your love,

Your well wishes,

Your care.

And release that image,

And back to your heart.

And from this place again,

Bring to mind an image of someone difficult,

Again,

Someone you may be seeing this holiday.

And from this place,

Alignment with your highest self,

Of peace and calm,

Send this person well wishes,

Love,

Kindness.

And release them,

That image.

Come back to your heart,

To your center,

Your highest self.

Feel your connection with earth,

With the divine.

Feel the alignment that you've cultivated inside your own heart,

Your own self.

And again,

Send yourself the love and the peace and alignment.

Allow it to grow in your heart,

Allow it to radiate out into your energy field,

Your aura.

Allow yourself to feel what it feels like to know this inner self,

This alignment,

The connections you have.

Breathing in from the back of your heart,

And out from the front.

Let's do that again.

Breathing in,

And out.

Bring your hands to prayer position in front of your heart.

May you be happy.

May you be healthy.

May you know peace.

May you know and hold on to the peace within your heart throughout this holiday season.

Namaste.
