I invite you to relax into this meditation,

Taking this time now to wiggle in,

Settle in,

And allow yourself to relax into the areas that might feel tight.

You can allow them to soften,

Bringing your shoulders down,

Releasing the tension from your jaw,

Your chest area,

Your gut,

What's tight,

What's holding on.

Bring your attention here and let's allow it to soften,

Breathing into it,

In and out.

Maybe lifting yourself up a bit,

Straightening up,

Ready to receive all that's available to you right now,

Being open to receive as a flower does each morning,

Searching for the sun,

Stretching up for its nourishing life force energy,

And bringing your awareness now to your breath.

I would like us to take some slow,

Deep breaths together,

Past our chest and our lungs and down into our bellies at your own pace,

Just bringing your awareness to this now moment,

Feeling your stomach expand as your lungs fill with oxygen and then let it go.

Continue breathing deeply at your own pace,

Staying aware of your inhale and the exhale of your breathing.

We'll just get connected here,

Keeping our awareness on our breath,

Letting go of the moments that came before this one or any anticipation of the moments that might come in the future.

We are just right here,

Right now,

Inhaling deeply,

Clearing out any stagnant energy on the exhale.

Settle into a natural rhythm of your breath.

Any thoughts that come in,

They can continue to float on by.

You can bring yourself back to focus by literally thinking on your in-breath,

In your mind's eye,

I am breathing in.

On the exhale,

On the exhale,

You can think in your mind's eye,

I am breathing out,

I am breathing in,

I am breathing out,

In,

Out,

Allowing myself to truly be present right here in this now moment,

Right now.

As you continue breathing at your own pace,

Start to imagine listening to water,

Imagining water in your mind's eye.

Visualize,

Imagine or seeing yourself possibly as rainwater falling from the sky,

Breathing in and out.

You're falling out in nature,

Possibly trickling down a mountain.

You find exactly the right path down,

Flowing,

Trickling,

Easily traversing the ridges and the cracks and the bumps on the mountain.

There's no effort or force.

You don't exert anything or water.

You just flow,

Simply falling down naturally,

Collecting yourself at the bottom of the mountain,

The lowest point to fall,

And a pool of water in the soil that's been created.

No effort.

Try to imagine instead,

If you were that water,

Trying to reverse course,

Attempting to stop your downward motion,

Struggling to get back up the mountain,

Or even to just stop and try to stay in place.

Can you think of water doing this?

It's absurd.

Why do you think we human beings do this?

How much we struggle trying to get back up the mountain.

We're like holding on to ourselves as this particular raindrop,

Afraid of falling and becoming a part of the soil.

But there's so many raindrop things to do.

What would it feel like to be this raindrop and just let go,

To exert a new sort of passive force,

Passive effort,

Embracing our connection with all of this falling from the sky,

Following your natural path and flow down the mountain to the pool of water you've created in the soil,

No wasted energy,

Trying to reverse the process.

You are all of this.

What does this reverse effort of letting go feel like in your body?

That tag,

Where do you feel the resistance?

Do you notice it at all?

Is it light or heavy or non-existent?

If you notice any particular sensations of what it's like to let go of the struggle to get back up the mountain,

Instead of just naturally falling,

I'd like you to notice any particular sensation of what that is like.

Letting go,

Letting go of your need to get back up the mountain and instead just naturally falling and noticing now where you might still feel any resistance in letting go.

Are you feeling any resistance to this opening,

This letting go,

Allowing the expansion?

I just want us to explore this resistance that might be coming up and see if your body knows how to let it go to just for this moment.

We're going to take this time to breathe into any resistance and see if we're able to let that soften.

I am breathing in,

I am breathing out.

Can you identify any places that you feel have blockage hanging on to resistance?

My most core resistance lies in my gut,

Lies in my holding on.

See where that lies for you,

Your resistance.

What happens when you open it?

What happens when you allow it?

Take a few deep breaths with me.

We can breathe together,

Releasing this energy,

Breathing all the way in and exhaling deeply all the way out.

In and out deeply,

Allowing that pause of emptiness at the bottom before we deeply breathe in again,

Releasing any last bits of tension that we're discovering.

On your next few days,

I want you to notice the ways that you might be struggling to get back up the mountain.

Pay attention when you feel that resistance.

Notice all the ways that you're exerting effort and just be mindful of how you could be more open to your experience.

How you could be more open to your experience in a more natural way,

Maybe in your relationships,

Your work,

Even your daily activities.

How much have you let go of your separate self-identity and opened up to your connection to the whole thing,

To the abundance available to you?

I invite you to remain open to receive.

I invite you to always flow downhill,

Finding the easiest path of least resistance so that you may pool in celebration at the bottom in the lush soil of Mother Gaia.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

I invite you to take your time as you come back to the present moment,

To the here and now,

Just following your breath,

Breathing in and out.

I thank you for your willingness to consider being like water.

Namaste.
