Wherever you are,
Find yourself in a comfortable seated position.
Allow your sit bones to firmly be pressed onto the floor or on the chair.
Allow your spine to be straight,
Relaxing your shoulders down away from your ears.
Relaxing every muscle in your legs,
In your torso,
In your chest,
In your face.
And gently closing your eyes at this moment to allow yourself to completely surrender.
And as you listen to my voice,
You give yourself permission to release the stress and the anxiety that's holding you back from tapping into your inner peace.
Anxiety and stress occurs when you perceive something that is threatening you,
Threatening your happiness and your well-being.
But you can't do anything about it.
You feel out of control because it's not happening right now.
Fear is a healthy protective response if you are face to face with immediate danger.
But if you are physically safe in this present moment as you listen to my voice and you are worrying about the future or wracked with guilt and shame and regret about the past,
Your stress,
Your lack of control is all a product of your mind and the choices that you make.
The antidote to stress is to create safety in your body,
To calm your overstimulated nervous system,
To release the thoughts in your mind by slowing down the breath and using your body as an anchor to fully enter the present moment.
To begin,
Gently rub the palms of your hands together creating an energy,
Stimulating all the fingertips and the meridian points in your hands,
Creating a balance in the hemisphere of your mind.
Rub until you feel a friction and a heat.
And when you feel that heat,
Gently place the right hand on your heart and the left hand on your belly.
As you focus on slowing down the breath,
Give yourself permission to release any tension in your body.
And as you breathe in deeply through your nose,
Allow yourself to exhale fully any tension,
Stress and anxiety through your mouth.
Breathing in through your nose,
Slowly and steadily,
And exhaling fully out through your mouth in a loud auditory sigh.
One more time,
Breathing in through your nose and exhaling through your mouth with a sigh.
As you breathe in through your belly,
Allow it to expand.
Watch the breath open your heart and then let breath ends at your clavicle.
Pausing for a moment before you exhale that breath down from your clavicle to your chest,
To your belly as it contracts back to your spine.
Breathing on slowing your breath,
Breathing in through the belly,
Opening up your heart and opening up the clavicle and riding that breath back down.
Saving your breath to be even slower,
Breathing in for the count of one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Pausing for one and exhaling out for one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
As you slow your breath,
Your mind will follow as an obedient follower of your breath.
Don't pay any attention to the thoughts that arise.
Return back to the focus of counting and give yourself permission to relax your stimulated mind,
Body and nervous system.
With your next breath in,
Allow yourself to feel grounded in your body and feel safe for whatever emotion that is arising.
Knowing that you are supported,
You will survive the moment and the stress will not defeat you.
Being honest to whatever emotion that is arising,
Give yourself love for what you feel.
Taking a deep breath in through your feet,
Allowing the breath to come in through your body and exhaling as you envisioning it going out through the crown of your head.
Feeling that safety in your body,
Again taking a deep inhale in,
Envisioning that breath coming through the soles of your feet as if Mother Earth is connecting you,
Supporting you as your breath goes through your body,
Invigorating every cell with peace and calmness as it rides up through the crown of your head,
Connecting you to the heavens and the lightness and the peace of your intuition and your higher truth.
One more time,
Grounding yourself into the safety of your body,
Connecting you to the earth as you breathe in through your feet,
Rising that breath up as you blow it out through the crown of your head.
And with this safety,
Feeling the beauty of your body,
Acknowledge at this moment,
I feel stressed and that's okay.
I will not let this stressful moment become a stressful day.
I give myself permission to fully enter my body knowing that it is safe.
And as you breathe in through your feet and out through your head,
Allow the stress to move through my body to be released.
I am safe in my body.
I give myself permission to let go of control.
I trust that as I release chaos,
I will begin to feel safe.
I love myself and my emotions.
My emotions are sacred.
And at this moment,
I feel safe.
I tap into my infinite inner peace.
I am safe to open my heart.
And as I tap in to my infinite power,
I feel safe to enter my soul.
I am tapped into the truth of my existence.
I let go of the fears that are not imminent and will cause me physical and emotional harm right now.
I am safe.
Breathing in safety and exhaling out calmness.
Anytime you feel that fearful state of worry,
Stress,
Overwhelm,
Take over,
Come back to this meditation to remind you to connect to the truth of your power and reenter the safety of your body and reclaim your peace.
And as you enjoy the feeling of safety,
As it permeates through every cell of your being,
Slowly wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
Taking one last deep inhale in,
Holding and suspending the breath and letting it all go.
Gently open your eyes and come back into this moment of renewed state of deeper power,
Strength and peace.
Thank yourself for honoring and nurturing your truth and giving yourself permission to let go of stress.
Peace to all,
Light to all,
Love and blessings to all.
Sath Nam.
The truth is our identity.
