Hi,
And good morning,
Good afternoon,
Or good evening to you.
Today,
We're going to be feeling what it feels like to be perfect,
Just as we are,
Without needing to change or be anything other than what we are right now.
So,
Before we begin today's meditation,
Just get clear on your intentions for doing this.
What is your goal or desired end outcome with meditation?
Now,
Put that goal away,
Just let it go completely,
And bring all of your thoughts and ideas about the future to the immediate here and now.
Let your focus just rest here in the present moment,
Where you can harvest all of the good from this very moment of existence.
To begin,
Let's have you close your eyes and address where you are situated right now.
Are you in your bedroom?
Your living room?
Or your bedroom?
Or your living room?
Or a different room in a house or building?
Or are you outside,
Surrounded by fresh air with the giant sky above you?
Wherever you are,
Just be clear that this is where you are right now.
Now,
Without changing anything at all,
Without budging or moving one millimeter,
Just bring your awareness to how you're positioned right now,
And let it be.
Just observe your body's position in your mind's eye right now.
And let's zoom in just a bit to become more acutely aware of what we normally are completely unaware of in our everyday life.
We'll start with the feet.
How are your feet positioned and what are they making contact with right now?
And your calf muscles?
The tops of your thighs now,
Just feel them as they are right now,
And see if you can feel them pulsating or tingling as you rest your attentiveness on them.
Now,
Showing some love to your hamstrings,
Just feel how this under part of your leg is connected to the tops of your thighs as well.
And now your bum,
Feel how the weight of your body is just resting here.
And what about your hands?
Where are they resting right now?
How are they positioned?
So starting with your left hand,
Feel the energy that's flowing through each finger now,
Starting with your thumb and finishing with your pinky.
And now to your right hand,
Feel the energy coursing through each finger,
Starting with your thumb and ending with your pinky.
Now pick an area of your body that you'd like to focus on now.
Play around with it and be experimental with your focus.
Could be your root chakra,
Your belly,
Your upper back,
Or the center of your forehead,
Where your third eye is located.
And now,
Without changing your position whatsoever,
Without feeling the need to change anything about yourself in this moment,
Notice your posture,
Just noticing how it is and letting it be.
You can change it later if necessary,
But not right now.
For now,
We practice embracing what is.
When you can embrace what is,
You'll notice that things are perfect just the way they are.
So know that you are perfect just the way you are right now,
In whatever state of mind you're in.
No matter what you're going through in life,
You are perfect right now.
Your whole life is perfect,
Just the way it is.
Just sit here and bathe in this idea of perfection for a moment.
Notice how it feels to be perfect,
Just the way you are right now.
Just like the clouds,
The raindrops,
And the rocks,
Rivers,
And trees,
Just like the perfection of nature itself,
You are perfect.
So just say to yourself silently,
I am perfect,
Five or six times,
And feel what it feels like to say that.
If it doesn't feel right,
Just push that judgment away and repeat to yourself,
I am perfect.
Just because we're perfect,
Just the way we are,
Doesn't mean we still won't want to change things in our life.
Our desire to change things in our life is innate,
But for now,
In today's meditation,
We are letting go of that desire to change,
To simply sit with and accept what is.
This is practice.
Now without modifying the current pattern at all,
Just observe your breath from afar and see how it's flowing all on its own.
So rather than the mind trying to control the breath in any way,
Shape,
Or form,
Just let the breath lead the mind.
And with every passing breath,
The smoother your flow of breath seems to become.
So just be aware of when you're inhaling and be aware of when you're exhaling in and out.
If you're aware of the inhalation,
You're in the present moment.
And if you're aware of the out-breath,
You're in the present moment.
As you inhale,
Just notice the in,
And as you exhale,
Just notice the out.
If thoughts come up and distract you,
Perfectly okay.
But just know that these thoughts are not actually distractions at all.
They're just focus energy that has shape-shifted itself into a different form.
And when you realize your focus has shifted from your breath to a thought,
You can just as easily and effortlessly shift it back to the breath.
So as you rest your attention on the flow of the incoming and outgoing breath once again,
You become one with it and arrive in a place where there is no separation between you and the breath.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
So just for a few seconds now,
Just releasing any objectives or targets can give your mind complete freedom to think about or visualize whatever it wants.
In your mind's eye,
Just see your body back in the space that it's occupying.
And with your ears,
Just listen for any sounds that you might be able to hear right now,
Both those close by and those further away.
Notice how your body's feeling and notice the thoughts that you're thinking and notice the weight of your mind now versus before the meditation.
But before you get up and go,
Just take a moment to soak up the success right now and remember that your energy is always flowing wherever your attention is going.
So if you want to feel a certain way,
Focus on cultivating that feeling in the here and now.
Feel what it would already feel like to feel that way.
This is one of the greatest secrets of life.
You can feel whatever you want to feel in any moment.
You are always in control of your focus.
You are everything you need.
Thank you for meditating and changing your state of mind with me today.
I'll see you around.
Namaste and adios.
