So just finding a comfortable position,
Whether that's sitting or laying,
Already feeling everything begin to slow.
As your body settles here,
Allow yourself to adjust and move into the position that feels best for you.
And just taking a few deep breaths in and out,
As you invite your body and your mind to relax.
Letting go of everything that came before this moment,
And letting go of everything that may come after.
As the most important moment is right here,
Right now.
With each breath,
You begin to feel your body sink deeper and deeper into relaxation.
Noticing the sounds that you hear in the room,
Perhaps the whirring of electricity through your appliances,
The humming of an air conditioner or a heater,
The creaking and settling of a house,
The sounds of your own body adjusting,
Breathing,
Settling.
You may even expand your awareness outside of this room,
And the sounds you can hear in other rooms of the house.
Maybe off in the distance you have your washing machine whirring around.
Maybe there's other members of your family going about their lives.
Maybe outside you can hear a pet or an animal,
A bird song,
All sounds moving through your field of awareness.
And here you are,
Still and settled,
And you feel your mind begin to drift away,
As your body wholeheartedly takes the invitation to drop deeply into relaxation.
And in these moments of silence,
Where nothingness fills the air,
Your mind may attempt to feel those pauses with thought,
And you can just allow that to happen,
Because the mind is just doing the mind's job.
I'm so grateful for that mind we are,
And if you imagine yourself taking a step backwards away from your mind,
And rather than identify with the mind,
You can just simply observe it,
And allow those thoughts to be there.
Allow the mind to dance and play,
And feel important.
And here you are,
The true you,
Just observing with love and compassion,
Because you can see and sense and feel the miracle that the mind is,
That all aspects of life are.
And as you sit in this silence,
Breathing in peace,
And breathing out discord,
You can relax in the knowing that in this moment,
Your entire body,
Your entire beingness is readjusting to sit and view from the point of view of your inner being,
That without your doing,
Without your saying so or thinking so,
You slip easily into alignment with your inner being,
And from this vantage point,
You know that everything is in divine perfection,
Without any perceived problem or worry or concern,
It's so quiet here.
Because you know that what is true is what is now.
And all that there is now,
In this moment,
Is peace.
And so you marinate deeply in this peace,
And you sense as it becomes more than just a perspective,
But it becomes you.
You are peace,
And in this moment of peace,
It is easy for you to access appreciation for all.
And so we start by feeling that appreciation for our breath,
The breath that moves life in and through our body,
And you feel it,
And you feel all its nuance,
The coolness of the breath as it draws in,
And you feel the way it feels your lungs and your belly,
And how when the lungs and the belly are full,
The breath then expands throughout the body,
Swirling and dancing,
Awakening every part of you,
Giving you life,
And you feel that,
That invisible force,
That you cannot see,
That you cannot touch,
And yet you know it,
You feel it,
You breathe it,
And when you exhale,
You feel its warmth,
And the gratitude of how simple and how effortless this one life-sustaining force is,
And how you need this breath,
You need this air to live,
And how it is a true reflection of your abundance,
As you are not in short supply,
In fact you have infinite supply to this air,
To this breath,
And is it not the most beautiful,
Simple,
Easeful experience to breathe?
And we can feel that deep gratitude and appreciation,
And we can expand it,
Even into the more challenging topics,
We could take something as simple as a cold,
Dis-ease in the body,
And we can just feel its presence,
The way it makes our bodies feel,
And how indeed,
When there is resistance in our breathing,
It allows us to see how truly grateful we are for the simplicity of breath,
How grateful we are for our bodies,
For communicating with us,
What it needs,
Whether it's more rest,
Whether it's to slow down and pause,
Whether it's to alter a belief that is inhibiting your expansion,
How grateful we are that this discomfort or this dis-ease in our body,
Is indeed our body doing its job,
It is indeed our body taking care of us,
Protecting us,
Informing us,
And what a clear language it is,
How grateful we are that these moments of discomfort can indeed be our body clearing and purging and releasing anything and everything it holds within that no longer serves us,
And rather than storing this toxicity,
Rather than storing this dis-ease,
It is expelling it,
So that we can be vibrant and thrive,
And your body says to you during this time,
Just relax,
Get some rest,
I've got this,
And if we take a step back,
We aren't the sickness,
We aren't even the body,
You are the one observing all of it,
And it's not good or bad,
It just simply is,
And the you,
The true you that's ever present underneath it all,
Is observing and is peace,
Everything is in divine perfection,
And you are so creative,
That you could create a reason why this is unfolding,
Perhaps a reason that makes you feel better,
Or that readjusts your intentions,
Or you could be aware of what's happening and let it be,
And in the next few moments,
You could invite forth any potential concern,
Any potential challenge,
Anything that you are creating for yourself to face,
You may invite it forward,
And then take a step back into awareness,
And find the gratitude,
Find the gift,
And just observe it being what it is,
And that is just energy expressed that is in divine perfection,
And you can do this practice at any time,
And when you feel run away with any worries or concerns,
You may like to remember the majesty of your breath,
And how without this simple thing that you give little to no thought to,
Those worries or concerns wouldn't even matter,
Because that breath sustains all life,
And you can take a step back,
Realign with your inner being,
With awareness,
And just observe what is,
And in this moment you may observe the sounds around you,
In the room,
Outside of the room,
You may observe again that beautiful sensation of your breath moving in,
And out,
You may observe the sensations of your body,
The feeling of warmth,
The feeling of relaxation,
The feeling of the material of your clothing,
Touching your skin,
Feeling of the comfort from the chair that you may sit on,
Or the bed that you may lie on,
Or even perhaps the sturdiness of the floor that you rest upon,
And most of all,
You may feel peace,
Because you may know peace,
Because truly you are peace,
And so whenever you're ready,
Completely in your own time,
You may move and stretch your body in any way it desires,
You may like to take a deep,
Conscious breath,
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
