And so if you're sitting or lying down today,
Whatever orientation you want your body in,
Let's begin.
Today I kind of wanted to talk about making peace with the present,
Making peace with the present.
So as we lie here to begin the session today,
Taking in the biggest,
Deepest inhale in through your nose,
Into your belly.
Opening up your mouth,
Letting a whole bunch of stuff go.
Let it go.
Good.
Do that a few more times without any expectation of what the breath should look like,
Sound like,
Or feel like.
Make in some inhales and exhales that support you.
Dropping in with me today.
Wherever you are,
Wherever you've been,
Wherever you're thinking you're going,
The only one we're concerned with today in this meditation is where you are,
Which is right here,
Right now,
Right here,
Right now.
One breath,
One inhale,
One breath,
One exhale at a time.
That is it.
And so when I say making peace with the present,
What does that mean to you?
What does that mean to you?
What would that look like?
What would that feel like?
How would that soften the way you go through life?
If every day you made peace with where we are and quit trying to claw or reach or grasp what's next or look back with regret or disappointment or sadness over what was,
But if we could just drop in and be peace at peace with this present moment that we have,
That's really all we have,
Right?
I don't know.
I don't know if I get more sunrises or sunsets,
But I know right now I have this one deep next breath and for that I am grateful.
And so the idea of being at peace with the present,
With the beauty of a noise in the room,
The beauty of your dog trying to jump on you while you breathe,
The beauty of being a little sweaty,
The beauty of maybe your back aching just a touch or your heart beating a little faster right now and starting to slow down,
Being at peace with the magic,
The physicalness of all of that,
The what is of right now and not worrying about what's next,
But being here in this moment.
So today I'm going to let you breathe for a few more moments alone with your own connection to what making peace with the present really means for you.
Not my interpretation of it,
But you to you.
And so as you breathe slow and deep and connected breaths,
Breathe in to this beautiful,
Precious present moment and I'll be right here holding space.
And by the way,
Remembering to allow any judgments.
That you may have had on yourself around clinging to the past or grasping for the future.
Let those judgments go,
Let them go and be open to a new relationship to what is right here right now without looking back or falling too far forward,
But being present and allowing for yourself to lean into a new way of experiencing present moments.
And as we bring the session today to a close,
Calling in a deep breath of gratitude for you,
For movement,
For breath,
For zoom,
For being able to connect through technology and giving yourself a big virtual hug through the breath.
As you start to close and bring your energy back to the room,
Remembering always that in any moment we can choose how we feel,
What we're experiencing by taking a big deep breath and resetting.
So thank you everybody for breathing into happy with me today.
