Welcome to your open awareness into life meditation.
We'll start by finding your comfortable seat.
Whether that means sitting up on a chair or sitting cross-legged,
Maybe cushions under your hips.
Take the first few moments here to close your eyes and get comfortable in your physical body.
Let your hips feel really heavy.
It can help to lean your body weight slightly back.
And let your belly relax.
Sit up tall with your soft belly and relax the shoulders too.
Relax a slight tuck of the chin so that the back of your neck is long.
Relax your cheeks,
Your jaw,
Your tongue.
Bring awareness to your eyes and to all of the little muscles that support them in their sockets.
Invite a softness here.
Bring an awareness to the skin between your eyebrows.
And let that area soften too.
And shift your awareness to the sensations of your breath.
Let your awareness come to rest at the lowest part of your rib cage.
You might be able to feel the shift of your diaphragm with every round of breath.
Continue to feel this shift of every rise and fall.
While also noticing the soundscape of this moment.
The sounds pop up and pass by.
You might even notice the space that holds each sound.
And the stillness between each one.
Shift your awareness back to your body.
And let it rest down at the palms of your hands.
Allow yourself to notice the aliveness there.
At first,
You might notice just a little tingling.
No longer that we're present in the hands.
You might start to feel it more like a vibration or a pulsating energy.
Please don't judge yourself if you can't feel very much.
The experience of no sensation is still an experience.
Keep some of your awareness at your hands.
But also shift awareness to your feet.
Can you be open to feeling the aliveness there too?
Let your awareness slowly start to expand.
At the legs,
The arms,
The torso,
And the head.
Becoming aware of the inner body as a global sense of aliveness.
As if every cell in your body is speaking to you.
Through those tingles and vibrations.
And all you have to do is relax into a receptive listening.
It is nothing but a You might find that your mind wants to tell you stories and wants to bring you somewhere else.
Try not to judge if that happens,
Because it probably will happen.
When you notice it,
Just kindly come back to the sensation of aliveness in your hands,
In your breath,
In your whole body.
You might find that your mind wants to tell you stories and wants to bring you somewhere else.
You might find that your mind wants to tell you stories and wants to bring you somewhere else.
Allow your awareness to come back to the palms.
Feeling the energy,
The tingles,
Or the lack of sensation.
Keep your awareness gently there on your hands as you slowly raise them,
Pointing your palms towards each other,
And really slowly bringing those palms together at your heart center.
Feel the moment that the fingers and palms start to touch each other,
And what that feels like.
And then take a moment to bow your chin to chest in gratitude for the aliveness.
