True wisdom often lies in the places we are most reluctant to explore—the emotions we avoid, the feelings we suppress. In this guided contemplation, I gently guide you to open yourself to the emotions you've been avoiding, inviting you to explore them with curiosity and compassion. By allowing yourself to feel what you have long suppressed, you unlock a deeper understanding of yourself and the world around you. This practice will help you recognize the wisdom that resides in these often-overlooked places within, transforming suppressed emotions into powerful allies for growth and healing. Through this journey, you’ll learn to embrace all parts of yourself, fostering a sense of inner peace, clarity, and wholeness.

Hello and welcome.

I thank you for being here out of all things you could be doing.

I'm so grateful that something aligned for us to be together in this moment in this way.

Just take a moment as you arrive and we'll begin with doing a quick body scan.

Just notice how are you feeling in your body.

How are your toes,

Your feet,

Your legs,

Your back,

Your torso,

Chest,

The face,

Shoulders,

The head,

Where might you be carrying tension,

Where in your body do you feel tense.

Today is just about being curious about everything that happens within us and outside us.

Our mind tends to form stories and judgments and has preferences of good and bad and I invite you to take away all of that and just notice things for what they are.

We'll take a deep breath here and just allow your body to relax,

Relax,

Relax into being.

And now notice what's happening within.

How is your mind,

What thoughts are here?

You might think of something surface level like I'm thinking about going to get food or I'm thinking about something that needs to be done for work.

And just allow that also to just come into your awareness.

Just keep watching your mind and seeing what pops up.

It's interesting that the more and the moment we bring awareness to the mind,

It actually quietens.

It's a very interesting practice we can do anytime.

And now I'm going to invite you actually to think of one emotion that you've been avoiding feeling.

We all have our ideas of what we want to feel and what we don't like feeling.

And often in the suppression of our feelings actually lies all the wisdom that we're here to learn.

You are going to consciously open to emotional pain if there exists any.

Just notice if there's a particular emotion that you haven't given yourself or allowed yourself to feel.

It could be anger,

Sadness,

Grief,

Jealousy,

The so-called societal emotions that are not seen in the most brightest of light.

And just notice if anything comes up.

For me,

It has been boredom.

I have not allowed myself to feel bored.

And notice the feeling within you,

What happens in your body as you just name that for yourself.

And where does this feeling lie in your body?

Where does boredom lie in your body?

I feel it in my lower belly.

And I feel a sense of contraction as I even think about this feeling.

And I'm going to ask you to just stay with it.

You don't have to want it to go away.

You don't have to even enhance it.

Just stay with it.

Just keep watching it.

And breathe and breathe.

Don't forget to breathe.

I'm going to invite you to ask a question to this feeling.

Dear feeling,

What is it that you want me to know about you?

What is it that you want me to know about you?

And just notice if anything comes up.

If resistance comes up,

Welcome it too.

It can have a place.

Yeah.

I'm in touch with an imagery for myself.

An imagery of a person just sitting under a tree.

Maybe it's me.

And what I'm becoming aware of is that it's within boredom and it's through boredom that the seed of creativity,

The seed of expansion actually lies.

Notice if something is coming up for you.

I'm going to allow a moment of silence for you to connect with this feeling.

And if you can't connect with a feeling or don't even have a feeling,

Connect with the feeling of not having a feeling.

And notice if anything has come up and just begin to wrap up and say thank you.

Thank you for being here.

Thank you for coming and sharing your wisdom.

Thank you to yourself for making time to go to a place where we don't often go,

Don't often visit.

I appreciate you,

I'm proud of you,

I honor you.

And just take a deep breath and come back to your body.

And with a gentle smile on your face,

Feel free to open your eyes.

Thank you for being here.

I am so,

So,

So proud of you.
