As we find ourselves in these uncertain times,
It's more important than ever to be able to find peace within so that when we are making decisions surrounding the health and wellbeing of ourselves,
Our family and our community,
That we are doing so with a big heart and a clear head.
My name is Tammy Kirkness and I will be guiding you through a short meditation to help acknowledge and alleviate any fear and anxiety that is currently sitting within you and help shift and lift our vibration to a space where we are more peaceful and more calm moving throughout the rest of our day.
Settle yourself into a comfortable position with an upright back and a straight spine.
Start to gently close your eyes and start to bring your awareness to the tips of your toes,
Knowing that we will gently,
Part by part,
Relax all parts of your body and then move into the alleviation of the worries.
Bring your attention to the arches of your feet.
Bring your attention to your ankles,
Your calves,
Your knees and your thighs,
Letting them feel heavier and heavier with each breath you take.
Bring your attention to your hips,
Your pelvis and your belly.
As you notice the gentle rise and fall of your belly with every inhalation and with every exhalation that you take.
Notice how your ribs expand and contract with every breath that you take.
Notice your shoulders,
Your elbows,
Your wrists and your fingers as they get heavier and heavier.
Notice your neck,
Your jaw,
Your eyebrows and your mouth as you allow them to gently relax and get heavier.
Start to scan from the top of your head all the way down to the tips of your toes and notice any areas of tension,
Tightness or congestion that are sitting within your body.
Good,
Now these are the areas that are most likely holding the anxiety and the worries within them.
Taking a big deep breath in,
As you exhale gently releasing out all tension,
All tightness and all fear from these pockets in your body.
Beautiful,
Doing that again,
Taking a big deep breath in and breathing out,
Releasing all of those worries.
And again,
Breathing in,
Breathing out,
Releasing all anxiety.
Breathing in and breathing out all frustration.
Breathing in and releasing out all residual frustration,
Anxiety and fear.
And bringing your attention to the middle of your chest,
This is the energetic heart space and start to think about all of the people in your life that might be doing it tough right now.
Think about your friends and your family who might be worried,
Nervous or a little bit panicky.
And say a gentle intention for them that they be safe,
That they be healthy,
That they may feel peace and that they may feel loved and supported.
And now bringing to mind all of the healthcare workers,
All of the decision makers and all of those who have an active role in taking care of our community.
Saying a gentle intention for each of them that they be clear minded,
Open hearted and feel safe and secure in their own body and in their community.
May they make great decisions for those around them and may they be safe and protected themselves.
And bring your attention to your own mind,
Your own heart and your own body and saying a gentle intention that you continue to feel a sense of peace,
A sense of safety.
May you have enough food,
May your shelter be healthy and may you feel connected to the community around you.
Take your breath in and really feeling that in all of your body and then breathing normally.
Bringing to mind Mother Earth and saying a gentle intention in your mind that she refined her balance.
She feel loved and supported and for all of her inhabitants,
Big and small,
To love,
Cherish and respect her in the way that she desires and the way that she deserves.
Breathing that in and then breathing normally.
And as you start to go back into your day,
Take this sense of peace,
This sense of rest,
This sense of groundedness back into your day.
May you be happy,
May you be healthy,
May you be well.
