Transcript
Introducing the following Take a moment to find a quiet spot.
Maybe it's your car,
Maybe it's outside,
Or one of your favorite spaces.
Take a comfortable seat in a cross-leg position,
On a cushion or firmly on the ground.
If you're in a chair or driving,
Make sure that your feet are placed firmly on the ground.
Use two droplets of lemon oil.
Into your palms and rub them together.
If you do not have lemon oil,
Take the fresh rind of an orange and rub its skin between your palms,
Releasing the oil from the peel.
When you have completed rubbing the oil into your hands,
Cup your hands together,
Raising the palms up and inhale deeply from your palms for two breaths.
When you have completed the two inhales,
Place your palms down to help ground yourself and bring you into the present moment on the tops of your thighs.
When you have completed your two breaths,
Return the palms facing down to the tops of your thighs to rest gently to help ground yourself.
Close your eyes,
Soften your jaw,
And relax the muscles of your face.
All right,
We're going to start over.
Take a moment to find a quiet spot.
Maybe it's your car,
Maybe it's outside,
Or maybe it's your favorite space.
Take a comfortable seat in a cross-leg position on a cushion or firmly on the ground.
If you're in a chair or sitting in a car or a bench,
Just make sure that your feet are planted firmly on the ground.
Place two drops of lemon oil into the palms of your hands and rub them together.
If you do not have lemon oil,
Use the fresh peels from a lemon.
Always rub them in between your hands to release the oil from the rind.
Cup your hands together,
Palms facing up,
And inhale deeply from your palms for two deep,
Full breaths.
We have completed your cycles of breath.
Place your palms face down gently on the tops of your thighs to help you ground.
Close your eyes,
Soften your jaw,
And relax the muscles of your face.
Imagine a tunnel of white light from your tailbone to the crown of your head.
Sit up straight with your shoulders back and your spine long as to keep the tunnel of light open and free flowing.
Take a deep cleansing breath,
Filling your lungs with fresh air as if you were filling a pitcher with water from bottom to top.
Exhale,
Slowly releasing the air from your lungs from top to bottom.
On your next inhale,
Allow your spine to lengthen as you tap into the lightness that the inhalation of fresh air provides.
As you exhale,
Notice your legs becoming more heavy as they root down into the earth,
Supporting all of you.
Take four more deep cleansing cycles of breath,
Counting each inhalation and each exhalation as one complete cycle of breath.
Allow these breaths to clear the fog in the clouds away from your mind.
Once you have completed the cycles of breath,
Notice what is present in your mind.
Is your mind relaxed?
Is it busy?
Is it distracted?
Is it anxious?
Is it fearful?
Is it tired?
Continue to sit with what is present without judgment and expectations.
Feel the power of sitting in this space of non-judgment and no expectations.
Acknowledge the presence of what is present in your mind and thank those thoughts for their service.
And with loving detachment,
Send light from your tunnel towards those thoughts,
Giving them permission to dissolve into the warm fullness of the light.
Notice how the light glows brighter with each thought that is released into it.
Notice how each light glows brighter with each thought that is released into it.
When all of the thoughts have dissolved,
There is nothing but the warm light in your consciousness.
Sit with this light and continue to breathe.
Wrap your hands together once more with your palms facing upwards and bring your hands to your nose to inhale the remnants of the lemon oil on your palms.
If the scent is not strong enough,
Take a moment to place two more drops in the palms of your hands.
Wrap your hands together and inhale deeply.
As you breathe from your palms,
Allow the citrus aroma of the lemon to enter your consciousness.
Feel the bright fresh scent sharpen your focus on the present moment.
As you continue to focus on the light,
Notice a small lemon coming into focus in the distance.
With each hail,
Feel the bright fresh scent sharpen your focus on the present moment.
As you continue to focus on the light,
Feel the fresh bright scent sharpen your focus on the present moment and on the light.
As you continue to focus on the light,
You notice a small lemon coming into focus in the distance.
With each inhale of lemon oil,
The lemon appears more clearly.
When the lemon is fully in focus,
Return your palms to rest on the tops of your thighs with the palms facing down.
Locate with the lemon and marvel at the cheerful yellow coloring of its rind.
Using your energetic fingers,
Place those fingers on the cool skin of the lemon.
Then gently break the skin of the lemon and slowly peel off the rind.
Pay close attention to the tiny pores of the lemon that release its cleansing oil with each piece of peel that is gently removed.
Allow the oil of the lemon to hold you in the present moment.
Once the peel has been removed,
All that remains is the flesh of the lemon wrapped in what remains of the inner thin fuzzy white sheath.
Gently slip your energetic fingers into the smooth creases of the lemon on either side.
Notice the trickles of tangy juice that escape the flesh of the lemon as you begin to pull it apart.
Gaze at the two perfect halves and notice what remains of the lemon,
The flesh of the lemon and its seeds.
Take a moment to notice the tiny sacs that form the flesh of the lemon and hold its juice.
Notice how the body of each supple sac swells with an abundance of juice.
Gently dig your energetic fingertips into the cool soft flesh of the lemon and remove the slippery seeds from the protective folds of the lemon's flesh.
Hold the seeds in the palm of your energetic hand.
Feel the lightness of the seed in your palm compared to the weight of the lemon itself.
Although this tiny seed is oftentimes considered an afterthought compared to the plump juice of the fresh lemon,
Although this tiny seed is oftentimes considered an afterthought compared to the plump juicy flesh of the lemon,
A lemon does not exist without it.
Lemon trees grow from seeds.
Engrained in these seeds are the expansive intelligence and clarity of consciousness to be and to grow.
It is not simply an afterthought or just a seed.
It is the physical embodiment of potential and pure consciousness.
When we peel back our own layers like those of the lemon,
We have our own seeds of potential and pure consciousness.
This is who we truly are at the core of our being.
The flesh of our being like that of the lemon should live in a manner that supports these seeds through our internal actions and thoughts.
And like the rind of the lemon,
Our actions,
Our thoughts,
And our overall presence in the world should work in alignment with the flesh to protect it and to offer droplets of our own cleansing light to the world.
Focus in on your life,
Your presence,
Your actions,
And your thoughts from a non-judgmental standpoint.
See yourself as a child.
What does your inner child need to support your emotional body to affect change in your physical presence in the world?
What is holding you back from resting and living in the abundance of the seed of consciousness and potential that lives within you?
Is there something or someone that you need to release?
Is there someone or yourself that needs forgiveness?
Are there truths or emotions that you must stop running from,
That you must surrender to in order to gain clarity?
Sit with these questions for a few more breaths.
To end the meditation,
Focus on your own.
Focus your concentration back in on the breath and return your breath back to its natural rhythm.
Wiggle your toes and your fingers as you bring your awareness back into your physical body.
Notice the sounds present in the room,
And if no sound is present,
Tap into the sound of your own breathing.
Bow to your true nature with gratitude for guiding you on this journey and providing you with clarity.
Slowly open your eyes,
Bring your palms to touch as you bow to the cosmic intelligence.
Slowly open your eyes,
Bring your palms to touch as you bow to the cosmic intelligence around you and inside of you.
Take a few more breaths to rest and pull your focus back into your body.
If you have a journal handy,
It's really helpful to take some notes regarding what came up for you in this meditation.
What clarity did the meditation provide?
Blessings to you.
