Good morning.

We're gonna do a morning check-in and this is something that can happen from bed,

It can be something that can happen from your couch or anywhere really,

But ideally soon after the morning begins,

Soon after you open your eyes so that you have an opportunity to be intentional about how you want to welcome the day,

How you want to approach the day.

So let's get started and let's start with a little bit of reflection.

It's actually really nice to reflect first thing in the morning and again at night before we drift off to sleep.

So here's an opportunity to reflect on how you want the day ahead to go.

So I want to just draw the difference there,

Not what needs to happen,

What you need to do,

What you have to do,

What you should do,

But what do you want the day to be like?

What would you desire to happen today in terms of your reality?

So not this isn't a wave the magic wand scenario,

But rather just given your life as it is right now and your commitments as they are for the day,

For the week,

How would you like them to go?

And let's pause as we consider this.

It may be already that the mind has started racing ahead towards everything that needs to be.

That's the way I tend to by default start my day.

Let's just pause,

Take a moment,

Find the breath and consider that question,

What do I want my day to be like today?

How would I like it to go?

What is it that needs to happen and how would I like that to be?

And as we consider this I want you to invite us to think,

Or not just to think actually,

To see the day play out in the way that we want it to happen.

And that'll be however you imagine.

So maybe that's a visual,

Maybe you're bringing sound into it,

Maybe it's a little more abstract,

Maybe it's linear thought,

Whatever it is,

Just try to make it as real as possible.

Just seeing you in your day today as you want your day to be and bringing as much depth,

As much color,

As much life into that and feeling into that,

Feeling it as it happens,

Feeling it as it plays out.

Notice how that feels in the body and I'll give a moment for us to sit in silence,

Just really absorbing that,

Really feeling into that,

Being into the type of day that we really want to happen.

And now let's consider yesterday.

Maybe that seems odd considering that we've been looking forward,

But let's just fast forward through yesterday,

Trying to scan it kind of quickly as if we were rewinding even.

And let's just see for a moment if there's anything that stands out for us from yesterday that feels like we need to address anything at all.

And trying to see what that is without a feeling of right or wrong,

Without a feeling of judgment,

Without a feeling of shoulds or couldn'ts,

But just simply factually looking into the day before and seeing if there's anything from it that we need to address today or that we need to even just be aware of because it could impact our day today.

And then whenever,

Whatever that is,

If that is,

Being ourselves today,

Addressing that,

Facing that,

Revisiting it,

Whatever it may be,

The way we want to,

Feeling into how that'll feel to get that done,

To do it in a way that we feel good about or at least resolved about.

Next,

Let's take a scan of where we're at right now in this moment.

And when I say scan,

I mean sitting with the body and checking it gently,

Lovingly,

Just to see what is happening right at this moment.

So that's with the eyes closed,

If they aren't already,

First coming to the space of the breath,

Noticing it gently,

And sitting with the inflow and the outflow of the breath,

Feeling the chest rise and fall,

The belly opening and relaxing with every breath,

And noticing the feet where they're placed,

Wherever that may be,

If you're sitting maybe on the floor,

Or maybe tucked up on the seat with you,

If you're lying down,

Where they are on the bed,

Feeling the legs,

The bottom,

The connection to the surface beneath,

Where the back is placed,

Either sitting up or lying,

The surface behind it,

Below it,

Or even the clothing or any materials that are touching the skin,

Just noticing them,

The weight of them,

The texture,

Just noticing,

Noticing the heartbeat,

Noticing the forehead,

What's it doing at the moment?

Does it feel like it's creasing or is it relaxed?

Can you relax it?

If not,

Can you relax it more?

Noticing the mouth,

Noticing that sometimes we can put a lot of energy,

A lot of tension in the lips,

Seeing if these can soften,

The ear lids,

The ear lobes can drop,

Inviting the throat to relax and open,

Checking out the hands and seeing are they able to soften,

Feeling into the fingertips,

Noticing the sensations that we can be aware of there.

If none make themselves apparent,

That's okay.

Seeing what changes when we run the thumb against each fingertip,

That little delicate touching,

The sensations that that creates,

Bringing the hands together,

Rubbing them up and down against one another and feeling the energy that creates.

And now just on our own time,

Checking through the body,

Scanning from the head to the toes and the toes to the head,

Seeing what we notice,

What sensations,

What tensions,

What temperatures,

What movement,

Even what emotions and just noticing all of those with curiosity,

Without judgment,

Without even trying to analyze them,

Just being curious.

We'll do that together for a couple moments in silence.

Whatever may have come up within the awareness,

Whatever sensation,

Whatever emotion,

Or even if the awareness was mostly thought,

A feeling of urgency,

A feeling of needing to move,

Whatever is happening,

Can we meet it with love,

Opening up the heart and giving love,

Giving love to whatever is in our experience right now because it is,

This is life right now,

This moment,

This is the past,

This is the future in this moment,

So can we love what is,

Opening up the heart,

Feeling so much love.

In this place of love and compassion,

Checking to see is there something we need to let go of,

Embrace more of,

Address,

Investigate further and then creating the intention to do so in a loving way,

Whatever that is,

Perhaps it's a feeling we need to dig further into or it's a story that we need to let go of,

Whatever that is,

Just feeling into what we can do right now and then what can happen later and just,

Again,

Seeing it happen in the way we want it to happen,

In a powerful way,

In a courageous way,

In a way that acknowledges our current reality,

In a way that embraces life and from a place of love and just taking these last few moments to feel into the day ahead,

Feeling into the intentions we have for how we want to live it,

How we want to love it and and ourselves and others in a way that will have us settle into our pillows tonight with a smile and a well done.

Thank you.

Have a beautiful day.
