The Ashram has been established with the vision to bring the community together, engage them in various spiritual activities and an inquiry of the nature of self, and develop an inter-relationship wherein the community members willingly volunteer in the Ashram activities with an attitude of selfless service. The Ashram provides a setup where the community members get inspired, and in turn inspire others to inquire about the principle quest of human life.

Om Namah Shivaya,

When I spend quality time with myself,

When I have no other agenda,

The only agenda I have right now is just to be myself.

With the knowledge that being with myself is quite enough to be happy,

To be at peace,

Because happiness,

Peace is my nature.

My opinion that I am an unhappy person,

I am a needy person,

I am an agitated person.

These opinions about myself,

That I am not good enough,

I am inadequate,

I am insecure,

I am needy,

These opinions about myself are incorrect.

These beliefs about myself are being entertained because I have not taken time to really look at myself.

And therefore,

This is the time I have taken to be with myself,

To acquaint myself with myself.

Because of this opinion that I am inadequate,

Unhappy person,

I have always been avoiding myself,

Always looking out for support,

Looking out for favor,

Looking out for gratification,

And looking out for happiness is denying the happiness that I am.

And therefore,

I stop looking out.

I stop looking out for happiness.

I stop looking out for love.

I stop looking out for security.

I know that love,

Happiness,

Security are in fact my own nature.

I do not need anything other than myself to be happy.

I am self-sufficient.

That is the reality of myself.

I do not need someone else to love me.

Love is my own nature.

To discover that,

I respect myself.

I respect myself as I am.

It does not matter what opinion others have about myself.

What matters is what opinion I have about myself.

And if I look down upon myself,

If I dislike myself,

Naturally I am unhappy.

Nātmānam avasādhi,

Lord Krishna says,

Do not look down upon the self.

Do not look down upon anything.

Do not look down upon the body.

Even though the body has limitations,

The body has shortcomings,

Body is not perfect,

And still it deserves all my respect.

This human body is a great gift.

It is a great privilege to have this body.

Without being proud,

I still can respect the body and feel good about myself that I am privileged to have this body.

It is a result of punya karmas,

Virtuous deeds,

That in many lives,

That I have the privilege of a human body.

The very best of each one's creation.

I have all reason to be happy with my body.

In spite of its limitations,

In spite of its imperfections,

In spite of its disabilities,

I have all the reason to be happy with my body.

I have no complaints against my body.

I lovingly accept my body.

Similarly,

I lovingly accept my mind.

In spite of its limitations,

My mind is not perfect.

There are imperfections.

There are limitations.

Sometimes I wish my mind was somewhat different from what it is.

But when I take into account the functions that my mind performs,

When I take into account the blessing that my mind is,

That I can think,

I can learn,

I can create,

I can love,

I can help,

There are many great qualities that my mind has.

Because of ignorance,

Because of some wrong misunderstandings,

I have managed to acquire some impulses,

Some negative tendencies,

But they are not the nature of the mind.

They are all intruders.

By nature,

The mind is a simple,

Beautiful,

Loving,

Kind mind.

It is a great privilege to possess this mind.

I am very happy about it.

I lovingly accept my mind.

I enjoy my body.

I enjoy my mind.

To enjoy,

What do I need?

This beautiful body itself can be enjoyed.

That it performs a number of tasks.

The body walks,

Sits,

Stands,

Talks,

Countless things it does.

Each one of these actions can be enjoyed.

The mind thinks,

Communicates,

Learns,

Remembers,

Feels.

The mind performs so many wonderful functions.

I can simply enjoy my mind.

If I stop complaining about myself,

If I stop blaming myself,

If I stop looking down upon myself,

Then I see that that is all the reason to be happy with myself.

What do I need to be happy?

Just self-acceptance.

Lovingly accepting myself.

Lovingly respecting myself.

That is all I need to be happy.

The worldly possessions I have,

They have their own role to play in my life.

But for happiness,

All I need is to be at peace with myself.

Respecting myself.

Lovingly accepting myself.

This is an attitude,

The attitude of accepting myself.

Then there is peace in the mind.

I am at peace with myself because I have no complaints against myself.

I do not look down upon myself.

However I am,

With my virtues and limitations,

I lovingly accept myself.

When there is no conflict,

There is peace.

When there is peace,

There is happiness.

Peace and happiness are the same thing.

Peaceful,

Silent,

Conscious being,

I am appointment with myself.

The self that is peaceful,

Silent,

Self-sufficient.
