You simply listen and see the meaning of the verse.

This is an appointment with myself when I spend a quality time with my own self.

My mind is generally very busy with many activities and therefore usually there is no opportunity to be with myself.

Here is an opportunity to be with myself.

When there is no agenda,

All the agenda is given up at this time because Vedanta teaches me that I already am what I want to be.

I am the seeker but I am the thought.

Usually I do not need to do anything to be free,

To be complete.

Freedom,

Completeness is my nature.

Therefore my mind is relaxed in the knowledge that I am alright as I am in spite of the limitations of the body,

In spite of the limitations of the mind,

In spite of my successes and lack of them.

In spite of whatever it is around me,

Whatever it is about me,

I am the whole complete being.

This is the reality about myself.

This meditation is to see that reality of myself that I am not lacking anything.

I don't need anything to be happy,

To be at peace.

All I need to do to be at peace is to accept myself as I am,

Not judging myself by some arbitrary standards of the world,

But accepting,

Respecting myself as I am.

This body sense,

Mind complex is what it is created by Isvara in his infinite wisdom.

Therefore I am beautiful as I am.

I am successful as I am.

Acceptance of myself,

Acceptance of my body with its virtues and limitations,

And acceptance of my mind with its virtues and limitations.

The body is a beautiful gift from Isvara.

I accept it,

Enjoy it.

In spite of its limitations,

This body is a great gift.

My mind is a great gift.

In spite of its limitations,

It is a privilege to have a human body.

It is a privilege to have a mind with which I can think,

With which I can know,

With which I can love.

I am very grateful and very happy for whatever I have,

Contentment with what I have.

I know there are countless things I don't have,

But at the same time what I have is also very precious.

I am grateful.

I am contented.

I am happy.

I do not judge myself by the standards of others.

I judge myself by the standards of Isvara who has created me.

I am happy doing what I am.

I am contented doing what I am.

When there is self-acceptance,

When there is contentment with one's own self,

There is peace.

I am at peace with myself because there is no dissatisfaction,

There is no self-rejection when there is self-acceptance.

There is peace.

And the mind is at peace because it is contented,

Because there is self-acceptance,

Because there is self-respect.

And I see that I am a silent,

Conscious person.

When the mind is at peace with itself,

I see this effect about myself that I am silent,

Contented,

Conscious person.

The body is a part of the personality.

The sense organs are a part of the personality.

The mind and the intellect are parts of personality.

Like an actor wearing a costume,

I am the person functioning through this personality,

Independent of the personality,

Unaffected by the personality.

Regardless of how the body is,

How the mind is,

How anything is,

I am the conscious,

Silent,

Contented person,

In spite of whatever the personality is.

When I am happy with myself,

When I am happy with my body,

When I am happy with my mind,

And I can see this fact that I am independent of the body and the mind,

Then I can be objective.

A happy person is an objective person.

I am objective about my body,

About my mind,

About my life,

About everything.

Everything is in order as it is.

I am independent,

I am independently at peace.

Peace is my intrinsic nature.

I don't need anything to be at peace.

Because peace is my nature.

I don't need anything to be happy because happiness,

Contentment,

Is my nature.

I don't need to change.

I don't need to accomplish anything.

I am already accomplished.

This fact about myself,

I can see when the mind is silent,

When the mind is at peace,

When the mind is contented.
