Om Namah Shivaya Om Namah Shivaya,
Om Namah Shivaya Om Namah Shivaya,
Om Namah Shivaya Om Namah Shivaya,
Om Namah Shivaya Om Namah Shivaya,
Om Namah Shivaya Seated in the relaxed posture,
Eyes are lightly closed,
Mind is relaxed.
Because at this time I have no agenda,
No duties to perform.
Right now,
I am neither wife nor husband.
Neither mother nor father or sister,
Brother,
Friend,
All the roles are dropped.
Throughout the day,
I perform different roles.
Every role has its own demands,
Every role has its own responsibilities.
There are expectations from me.
All of these can cause stress.
Here,
During the appointment with myself,
I have no agenda,
No roles to play.
I have no responsibility.
There are no demands on me.
I do not have to fulfill expectations of others,
I am free.
Everything can wait because nothing really makes a difference in the fact that I am a complete being.
That is a fact,
That wholeness,
Completeness is my nature.
And it cannot be affected by the success and failure,
Honor and dishonor,
Gain and loss.
None of these phenomena can alter the fact that I am whole and complete.
And there is no inerricacy in me.
That is a fact.
And this appointment with myself is meant to see that fact about myself,
To appreciate what truly I am.
This becomes necessary because I have many conclusions about myself,
Many complexes about myself,
Because I take this body as myself and therefore constantly feel a man or a woman,
Husband or wife,
Father or mother.
These and many other notions are due to identification with the body.
With the body I cannot be,
Because I know it is my body.
I am the possessor of the body.
Also,
I am aware of my body just as I am aware of the body of my neighbor.
Just as I am not the body of my neighbor,
So also this body which I call I or mine,
Is equally an object of my awareness as much as any other body is.
The body I am not,
Because I appreciate it as mine or as this.
During this appointment with myself,
When my mind is relaxed,
When there is no other agenda,
I can create this distance,
The distance of understanding.
Not distance in terms of space,
Distance in terms of understanding.
That is body which is known to me as my body or as this body that I am not.
The sense organs of perception,
The organ of hearing,
Seeing,
Tasting,
Touching,
Smelling,
The sense organs are for receiving the input from the universe.
Like my telephones,
Like the internet through which I receive information,
So also this organs of perception are various instruments meant for giving me information about the world.
Just as I am not my telephone,
So also I am not the organs of perception.
When it is said,
I am not the body,
It means that the gender,
The height,
The weight,
The color of skin,
All of these belong to the body.
I am unaffected by them all.
I don't have to judge myself by what the body is.
I am independent of the body.
Similarly,
I am independent of the organs of perception.
Whether eyes are sharp or not so sharp,
The ears are sharp or not so sharp,
These conditions,
The organs of perception do not affect me.
Who is the illuminator?
I do not have to judge myself based on my organs of perception.
Similarly,
The organs of action I am not.
The hands,
The legs,
The speech,
These are like the tools used for performing different tasks.
The organs of action are like the tools for performing the tasks of speaking,
Of walking,
Of performing actions.
I am independent of them.
I do not have to judge myself based on their condition.
Prana,
The white layer,
I am not.
I am aware of my breath.
It is constantly moving,
Changing,
Inert.
The prana,
The white layer,
I am not.
I don't have to judge myself based on the condition of prana.
The mind,
I am not.
The emotions,
I am not.
The impulses,
I am not.
I am not anger,
Sadness,
Happiness,
Elation,
Unhappiness.
These are all states of mind.
Attachment,
Aversion,
Greed,
Delusion,
These are all the states of mind.
I am aware of them.
Therefore,
These emotions,
These impulses,
I am not.
I live in them.
I am what I am,
Regardless of what the impulses and emotions are.
I don't have to judge myself as angry,
As greedy,
As happy,
Unhappy because of the states of mind.
They are all states of mind.
I am independent witness of the mind unaffected by the states of the mind.
I am not the intellect.
I am not my understanding.
I am not my ignorance.
I am not my successes and failures.
All that belongs in the level of intellect.
I am the witness of the intellect.
I don't have to judge myself based on the state of the intellect.
Honor,
Dishonor,
Success,
Failure,
Gain,
Loss.
These are all the notions of intellect.
Doer,
Enjoyer,
Knower,
These are all notions of the intellect.
I do not have to judge myself based on the notions of intellect.
I am not doer.
I am not experiencer.
I am not success.
I am not failure.
I am independent of the intellect,
The witness of the intellect.
If all of these I am not,
Then what am I?
This fact about myself cannot be denied that I am,
That I am self-revealing,
That I am the object of unconditional love.
Sat,
Chit,
Ananda.
Chit,
Consciousness I am.
Sat,
That ever is,
Which can never not be.
Ananda,
The wholeness,
Boundlessness I am.
The self-existing,
Boundless consciousness I am.
Self-existing,
Self-shining,
Self-sufficient.
I am is free from all lack,
All want,
All inadequacy.
All lack,
Want,
Inadequacy,
All belongs to deopathi,
Belongs to ahankara.
I,
The self-existing,
Self-shining consciousness,
Is free from all boundaries.
All lack,
All want,
Silent,
Boundless consciousness I am.
Mano buddhi ahankara chitta ninaa ham Nacha shrotri jihvi,

Intellect,
Ego,
Thoughts I am not.
The organs of perception I am not.
The five elements I am not.
