Bring intention and presence to your day, and to your writing, speaking or creative practice with this meaningful reflection that asks you to contemplate a single word. From one seed much can grow, when we first slow down to appreciate the seed. This is a core practice of manifestation, and it can be imaginative and fun. (Music by Jordan Andrew)

Welcome.

In this practice,

We'll contemplate one word to unpack its layers of meaning.

Please have a notebook or piece of paper and a pen handy.

We'll begin with a visualization followed by a creative exercise.

By slowing down,

Feeling and appreciating our language tools one word at a time,

We open more fully to the feeling tones we want to inhabit.

This helps us access creative flow,

The wisdom of our mind-body connection,

And even manifestation.

It helps us expand.

There is infinite possibility in one word.

There's a whole world of meaning to discover.

Let's see what happens when we open to it.

Maybe we get unstuck and feel more free.

Maybe we're not as anxious and afraid.

Maybe if we can see the expansion and the potential in one word,

We'll begin to see it in ourselves.

Through reflection and presence,

We deepen and allow for insights.

Let's bring willingness to this practice and see what happens.

Feel free to invite your playful inner child to join in.

By accessing your imagination,

You'll go even deeper into the exploration.

To begin,

Look around you.

Notice three shapes,

Colors,

Or objects you appreciate.

Now close or soften your eyes and go within.

Breathe into this moment and sigh out any worries or concerns.

We can set those aside for now.

Big breaths in and big breaths out.

Soften your face and your jaw.

Release your shoulders.

Let go of any tension you're holding in your body.

You don't need to hold it right now.

Big breaths in and big breaths out.

Now with your eyes still closed,

Rub your hands together to create warmth and then cup them over your eyes.

You may see colors or dancing shapes,

Or you might feel calm,

Dim.

Whatever you're experiencing,

Appreciate this quiet cave of presence.

What is one word that you want to invite into your quiet cave with you?

Choose something you desire or you're curious about,

Like love,

Abundance,

Cherish,

Softness,

Courage,

Strength,

Or possibility.

Now we'll say our word out loud three times.

My word today is love,

So I'll repeat it.

Love,

Love,

Love.

Say yours now.

Notice how your word resonates in the air.

Notice what you can begin to make happen with the power of your beautiful voice.

Then go within.

Release all thoughts.

And when thoughts arrive,

Focus on your word.

Let's rest in this quiet cave of meaning and presence for a moment.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes and go directly to the page.

Draw or sketch the shape of your quiet cave of meaning and presence and write your word inside of it.

Above your drawing of your quiet cave,

Draw clouds,

Birds,

Sun rays,

Or raindrops.

See how these clouds,

Birds,

Sun rays,

Or raindrops connect your quiet cave to a bigger space and expand into the air.

Now write your word on each cloud,

Bird,

Sun ray,

Or raindrop.

Your word is a prism in the air and in your heart.

Let it glow and radiate from you and through you as you share it from your understanding to the world.

See how it expands and grows from one little word to the sky.

Thank you.

As you go about your day,

Remember this feeling of expansion.

You are magnificent.
