The witnessing aspect of our Consciousness is powerful and allows us to live life from a higher level of consciousness. When you practice being the witness of a situation rather than the victim, a higher energy moves into you and your life situations. It will also help you deal with the challenges of life from a peaceful and equanimous space. Do share your experience and join my live sessions if you resonate with this sharing. Love

Hello,

This is Susita.

In this guided session,

We will recognize and access the witnessing element of our existence and consciousness.

Bring to your mind a neutral or happy memory from your childhood.

Bring in the image.

Do not dwell in the details.

Who is aware of this memory?

Notice the two elements.

The memory is the observed and you are the observer.

Who is aware of this memory?

You could say I am.

So simply be aware that you are aware of this memory.

You are the observer of this memory.

Notice that your body is that of a child.

Notice the surroundings and the people.

Now bring to your mind another memory of you as a teenager.

Bring in only happy or neutral memories.

Notice that the body has changed.

The place is different.

The people may be different.

But you the observer are the same.

The memory is the observed and you are the observer or the witness.

Now bring in a recent memory to your mind,

Either neutral or a happy memory.

Again observe that the body has changed.

The place has changed.

The people may be different from the other two memories.

But you the witness,

The one who is aware of this memory,

You remain unchanged.

Be aware of this observer,

This witness,

This I AM.

Now place all three memories side by side.

And notice that time has passed.

The body has changed.

Circumstances have changed.

Beliefs may have changed.

The place of living may have changed.

Dreams and aspirations may have changed.

But what has remained unchanging?

What is constant?

The one who is observing these changes,

The one who is aware of the passage of time,

The one who is aware of the changes in the body,

The one observer that you are,

Has remained unchanged.

Please confirm this in your understanding.

I am the unchanging witness.

I am the observer of everything that arises.

In the world of form,

Everything is constantly changing.

But I remain unchanging and constant.

Notice that there is a presence here and now,

Aware of these words,

Aware of the body sensations,

Aware of any surrounding sounds and aware of the truth that is being pointed to.

You simply have to move your awareness from the constantly changing observed elements to the unchanging observer.

This observer is not in the mind,

It is beyond the mind.

And this observing presence can be accessed by simply asking the question,

Who is aware of the sound,

Who is aware of this taste,

Who is aware of the sensation.

Another way would be to simply feel the existential feeling,

I am.

It is a deep intuitive knowing inside you,

I exist,

I am.

I am.

I am.

As you tune into this feeling,

I am,

You notice that you are the observer of everything that is arising.

Let us stay with this I am presence for a few minutes.

I am.

I am.

I am.

I am.

I am.

Thoughts come and go,

Sensations arise and subside,

Emotions come and go.

But I am unchanging.

I am.

I am.

I am.

Most of our energy is spent in the fixation with form.

Either we want things to change and sometimes if we like things the way they are,

We are afraid that it is going to change.

We keep getting pulled by desire and fear,

Desire and fear.

And the world of form is bound to change and holding on and giving too much attention to form leads to pain and suffering.

If we can move our energy to the formless presence,

The I am presence,

We will have greater equanimity,

Greater peace,

Greater intelligence and greater love which will be operating our life.

Thank you.

Interesting meditation. A good reminder that identifying with form leads to suffering. After a week of holding onto expectations and stressing myself this was a good reminder. Thank you πŸ™πŸΎπŸ˜Š.
