The ego energy takes ownership of the body and causes suffering. It has an energy of blame, criticism & control. This blame & control is also carried onto the spiritual journey. This audio will help you recognize that you are not a limited finite self but you are the Infinite ONE SELF. Hence the journey of awakening is also of the Infinite Self & is not of the finite ego-self. I hope this will help the listener let go of blame, control, and suffering and surrender to the Divine. Transcript

Hello and welcome to this guided session.

Close your eyes.

Be aware of the aware,

Awake,

Spacious presence.

Be aware of the silence,

The emptiness.

Be aware of the spaciousness,

Emptiness,

Openness of your true self.

We often think about ourselves and limit ourselves with concepts.

This is my name,

This is my age,

This is my nationality.

Drop all concepts and experience yourself without any thought.

You don't have to think about yourself.

You are already here.

So just experience yourself,

Feel yourself.

Experience yourself directly without the medium of thought.

Notice the stillness,

The vastness,

The openness.

The openness,

Emptiness,

The lack of dimensions,

Infinity of your own being.

Release any Elements Are you a limited form looking out into awareness or are you the open awareness which is permeating and holding the form?

What is your direct experience?

Are you a limited being?

Are you limited to the body or are you the infinite awareness surrounding the body,

Permeating the body,

Aware of the body?

Do not follow any thought.

Trust your direct experience.

Does the body contain a little bit of consciousness in the brain or heart or does the infinite consciousness contain the body?

When you extend this further,

You realize that your formless consciousness permeates the entire room,

Permeates your entire world.

Everything that appears appears in consciousness.

Just like the movie screen is needed for the images to appear,

Consciousness is needed for the body,

Mind and world to appear.

Consciousness is the source and substance of all life.

Continue to explore your true self.

Notice the spaciousness,

Lack of boundaries,

Lack of division,

Lack of a beginning or end.

Notice the tenderness,

The openness.

Notice that in your true self,

All ego thrives of doing,

Becoming,

Yesterday,

Tomorrow,

Seeking,

Striving.

All of these ego thrives disappear even if it's just for a moment.

Your true self is here.

Your true self is complete.

Your true self just is.

You can feel the isness or the amness of your being.

Feel the isness or the amness of your being.

You are a complete being.

You are infinite life.

Nothing can be added to you.

Nothing can be taken away.

You are complete now.

You are peace now.

You are a light to the world now.

The ego energy takes ownership of the body and is constantly blaming,

Seeking,

Striving,

Comparing.

And this causes a lot of suffering.

And this suffering also enters the spiritual life where the ego says,

I now want enlightenment.

So it often judges and criticizes.

It says,

You should do better.

Why aren't you awake yet?

It is always blaming.

But friends,

This awakening is the awakening of consciousness to itself.

It is the awakening of the divine to itself.

So now ask yourself the question,

Whose life is this?

Whose life is this?

Whose life is this?

The great ninth century Sufi,

Bhaisev Vistami said,

At the beginning,

I was mistaken in four respects.

I concerned myself to remember God,

To know Him,

To love Him and to seek Him.

When I had come to the end,

I saw that He remembered me before I remembered Him,

That His knowledge of me had preceded my knowledge of Him,

And His love towards me had existed before my love to Him,

And He had sought me before I sought Him.

So relax friends.

This is the journey of the divine.

Trust in your infinite self.

Trust in the silence of your being.

Simply trust.

Take one step at a time.

Do your best.

And whenever the ego tries to take over,

Causes suffering,

Simply pause,

Feel the infinity of your being,

Feel the spaciousness of your being,

The vastness of your being,

And ask the question,

Whose life is this?

Whose life is this?

And immediately you realize the true perspective,

And you realize why the master said,

Take no thought for your life.

And Sri Ramana Maharshi said,

Why are you carrying the suitcase on your head when the train is carrying it?

Put the suitcase down.

Relax.

This is trust friends.

This is trust in our divine creator.

Again,

Become aware of your true self,

The infinity of your being.

Silence and surrender are synonymous.

When you are silent,

You are saying,

Divine,

You take care.

I don't know anything.

I don't know anything.

Yeah,

Sh arguably half of the audience.

Thank you and I wish you many blessings.

Namaste.

I am like a cell. I am a part of a larger system. Yet I can see the oneness by being small and large at the same time

Once is not enough (for me, at least!) for this meditation. On one level, it feels so true, so simple, and so real; on another level (the ego-thinking level) it is hard to know how to be and how to apply it in my daily life. It’s a journey I am grateful to be on. I am especially grateful to have Susitha as a guide!

Beautiful, vast spaciousness. I loved the analogy of β€˜why are you carrying the suitcase on your head when the train is carrying it, put the suitcase down’. Very pertinent for my overthinking ego. Thanks πŸ’š
