Just for today,

I choose to simplify.

Meditation by Susie McWilliam What would your life look like if you could simplify it?

If you had space to breathe,

You could leave the busyness of the days behind.

And you could move to a space of expansiveness,

Freedom and ease.

Through this meditation,

I want to give you a glimpse of what's possible.

To clear the mental chatter.

To come home to mind,

Body and soul.

Close your eyes and allow yourself this moment to relax.

Connect and release.

Breathing in,

Feeling that breath fill your chest,

Your ribs,

Your lungs.

Exhaling,

Sighing,

Releasing.

Breathing in fully.

And as you exhale,

Feel the body soften.

Relax and let go.

You no longer need to hold it together.

This is your chance.

A chance to return home to mind,

Body and spirit.

To connect with what's truly important.

To release all that is insignificant and adds nothing to your life or your day.

Just being with your breath.

Beginning to connect in.

Breathing in and acknowledging the thoughts.

How do you feel mentally?

Are you busy overthinking?

Or do you feel relaxed?

As you breathe,

See if you can allow the breath just to soften the mind,

Body and spirit.

Feel that breath wash over you.

And through you.

Feel it calming,

Soothing.

Understanding how you feel in your body.

Is there tension and tightness?

With your next inhale,

Breathing in deeply.

Tightening,

Squeezing all the muscles as tight as possible in the legs,

The arms,

The face.

Tightening everything up as you inhale.

And as you exhale a nice long,

Slow exhale,

Release.

Release that tension.

Allow that tension to drop down into the earth beneath you.

Noticing where you were holding tension.

Where you were trying to control and hang on.

I want you to remember that you are traveling your own divine path.

That you are safe.

That you can breathe and that you can let go.

I want you to think about any areas in your life which currently feel a little complicated or messy or challenging.

And take a breath.

Pausing to connect in with that challenge or mess.

And I want you to think about what would the path of least resistance through this situation look like?

What options do you have?

How can you simplify the situation?

How can you break it down into smaller,

More manageable pieces?

Just breathe and contemplate and be in reflection for the moment.

For when we are in a state of relaxed awareness,

We can see solutions for a simpler life.

We can identify answers in this blissful,

Silent space within ourselves.

Answers that we maybe hadn't thought of previously.

I'd like you to gaze up to your third eye between your eyebrows.

With your eyes still closed,

Just breathing in and out through the space of clarity.

The space of inspiration and intuition and self-reflection.

Placing your hands over your heart space.

Gazing up at your third eye and breathe.

And a few silent breaths here.

Then asking yourself,

How can I simplify my life more?

And just sit.

And allow.

And breathe and trust.

Allowing whatever you'd received just to land within you.

And silently repeating in your mind.

Just for today,

I allow myself the path of least resistance.

Just for today,

I choose to see things simply.

Just for today,

I choose the path of ease.

Just for today,

I allow myself to release my worries with my breath.

Just for today,

I choose to come home to my mind,

Body and spirit.

Take in a nice big deep breath,

Coming home to that place of safety and simplicity within.

Breathing deeply,

Exhaling,

Releasing.

Ready to move forward with ease.

In a stretch,

A yawn,

Whatever you feel you need.

Welcome yourself back to this moment,

To this space.

With so much love from my heart to yours.

Namaste.
