Settle in a position that is comfortable.

This meditation can be used wherever you are,

Just not whilst driving a vehicle or operating heavy machinery.

If possible,

Close your eyes.

If not,

Just let the muscles around your eyes soften a little,

Taking in a deep,

Soothing breath and then releasing your breath slowly.

Let's focus on your breath for a moment,

Breathing in slowly for the count of four.

Hold the breath for four.

Open and exhale for four and repeat,

Finding your own pattern,

Your own rhythm,

Breathing in for four,

Holding for four and release for four.

Just let your breathing be natural and notice how the breath flows easily from your nose or your mouth into your lungs,

The gentle rise and fall of your ribcage,

Inviting your body to allow calm and relaxation to flood into your body with every breath.

Every time you exhale,

Letting go of tension and expectations.

Nothing expected at this moment.

No expectations apart from your breath getting deeper and then sensing your shoulders relaxing and softening.

Just for a moment,

Let yourself be a researcher,

A researcher that notices without judgment but with curiosity and wonderment.

Let your researcher check in and sense what is going on in your mind right now.

If your mind is a little bit like my mind,

It might be like a swirl of colorful threads,

Like a ball of wool,

Multicolored and multifaceted.

Just notice the different threads,

Threads about love matters,

Body matters,

Work and maybe relationships,

Self talk and chatter.

Just noticing and letting them be,

Just observing them.

They are here for a reason.

Up till now they have served you,

They have served you to protect you and they did their best.

Whatever the thought threads are,

Just notice and acknowledge them,

They are just letting them be.

There is a part of you that is not that ball of wool,

A part of you that is able to step back and observe.

The essence of you,

Detached and unhooked from the constant rise and fall of the mind.

Just let it be,

Being the researcher with wonderment and curiosity.

Then checking in with your body,

Noticing what is going on there,

Letting your awareness wander on the top of your head,

Down to your toes and all the way back up,

Like a wave of awareness and relaxation all at the same time.

Letting your research or notice objectively,

Pain,

Tension,

Imperfections of your body,

Imperfections in your mind,

No judgement,

Just noticing.

Then letting your awareness wander to your spirit,

That part of you that is neither your mind nor your body,

The part of you that is your soul,

So much bigger and always connected to your divine source,

Even if you are not always consciously connected.

Letting your soul and your inner self come to the table,

The part of you that always was and always will be.

The part of you that knows the answers to your questions.

Your inner wise self that knows what foods and drinks will nourish your soul,

Truly nourish and nurture you.

Fresh,

Real food,

Clean,

Clear water,

Natural foods in all colours of the rainbow,

Vibrant and full of life,

Full of life giving force to lift you up so that you might be the best and truest sacred version of yourself.

Letting this truth sink in,

Nourishing and nurturing your body will make your mind happy and satisfy your spirit,

No more band-aiding foods to hide your emotions,

To fill you up with food when your soul longs for something so much more.

Connections to the source of all there is,

Connections to other humans,

Connections to your community,

Family and friends,

Creating a meaningful life.

Sometimes when you long for company and a way to help you through the stresses of life,

Letting your nervous system restore its energies and not deplete them anymore.

Breathing in deeply and relaxing into the truth that there is another way for you,

A way where you don't feel like fight or flight all the time,

A way where you can nourish and nurture your body,

Your mind and your spirit,

Your new way of being just by connecting to your true self,

Your essence,

Your wise part,

Becoming conscious and mindful.

Every breath that you take will bring you closer to the mindful eating and mindful living.

Noticing what is going on for you is the first and essential step,

Letting go of stress.

The choice to connect to your breath and bring your new mindfulness into the new awareness of you.

Noticing how your body is longing for fresh clean water,

Fresh colorful natural foods,

Other foods that do not fit into this vibrancy will lose their appeal to you,

No more stressing and no more fighting with yourself.

From now on you're just bringing the awareness to your emotions and letting them be,

Committed to sitting with the discomfort,

The discomfort that will bring you liberation and the truth of what you really long for,

The truth that's underlying and under discomfort and what you really long for.

Might be not food,

Not drinks,

Not the need to be overly busy,

To avoid your true longings.

Noticing what is and just letting it be will be your door to less stress,

Less weight.

And finally the door will open to loving your body more.

Just sensing that feeling and breathing it in,

All the possibilities just there for you.

Every time you notice what your body truly needs and give it freely,

May it be water,

Fresh food,

Relaxation just like this one,

Time in nature,

Human love and connection,

Time to connect,

Time to connect to others,

Time to connect even more to yourself.

Open yourself to the source of all that there is,

Whatever that might be for you.

You might call it the universe,

You might call it God,

You might call it spirit.

You're not able to dive deeper into you through your inner connection,

Asking for help from the divine and the universal laws are working in your favour.

Now taking in the deep breath and expanding your awareness to your new mindful awareness that you can access at any time,

Any place.

Making the time to fulfilling your true needs,

Changing what needs changing and what can be changed and surrendering everything else to the universe,

Seeing transformation in yourself.

And with the transformation in yourself,

In your inner world,

Your outer world will transform magically around you.

Taking this experience in with a little smile to yourself that spreads to the corners of your mouth,

Noticing the little smile in your eyes and in your heart.

Now letting your consciousness return to the here and now,

Putting your thumb and index finger together of your right hand,

Locking in this feeling and experience into your mind,

Body and spirit awareness.

Feeling better than before,

Better and better every time you do this little meditation and every time you let your thumb and index finger touch in this way,

Anchoring the sensation you have in your body right now.

Taking in a deep breath and then a little sigh out.

Thumb and index finger connected,

Locking in that experience,

Getting ready to come back to the here and now,

Feeling better and better,

Better than before.
