Hi,

I'm Susanna Kenton and let's begin by taking a smooth breath in through your nose and release it on a sigh.

Just letting go of the busyness of the day and coming home to this practice to prepare for deep restorative sleep.

And as you make yourself comfortable,

I invite you to close your eyes and turn your attention inward.

Setting an intention for this tapping meditation to really enjoy and savour the journey of releasing,

Unwinding,

Letting go and preparing to enter the magical dreamtime space of sleep.

We're going to do some meridian tapping to clear out any stressful thoughts or stuck energy and bring your system into balance and peace.

So let's start tapping at the karate chop point and we say,

Even though parts of my day were stressful,

I choose to accept myself and my day now.

Even though my mind is still busy processing my day,

I look forward to winding down and preparing for rest.

Even though I'm not feeling sleepy yet,

I'm ready to deepen into relaxation and peace.

Good,

Let's go to the eyebrow point and tapping we say,

These busy thoughts in my mind,

Side of the eye,

This tension and stress in my body,

Under the eye.

I'm inviting it to clear through now.

Under the nose,

Becoming more present to this moment.

Chin,

With the intention to wind down and get ready for sleep.

Collarbone,

It feels so good to breathe out and relax.

Under the arm,

Releasing the cares and concerns of the day.

Over the head and carving out a space for myself to enter deep restorative rest.

Good,

And take a breath.

And let's now address any anxiety you may have around sleep in general.

So returning to tap on the side of the hand at the karate shot point we say.

Even though falling asleep can feel like a struggle for me,

I choose to deeply love and accept myself anyway.

Even though I feel worried about not being able to fall asleep or stay asleep,

I forgive myself for this stressful sleep story.

Even though I dread having a bad night's sleep,

I'm ready to have an easier relationship with bedtime and with sleep.

Good,

Now let's go to the eyebrow point and tapping we say.

I worry about getting a bad night of sleep.

Side of the eye,

And how that will affect me tomorrow.

Under the eye,

I'm afraid my energy will be low.

Under the nose,

And I won't perform at my best.

Chin,

I don't want to drag myself through the day.

Collarbone,

Or feel grumpy and sluggish.

Under the arm,

I forgive myself for this anxious sleep story.

Top of the head,

And I'm ready to surrender into relaxation and rest.

And let's go straight back to the eyebrow point and tapping we say,

Releasing my fears and concerns around sleep.

Side of the eye,

Letting go of the worry I might awaken in the night.

Under the eye,

I will or I won't,

And that's okay.

Under the nose,

Allowing myself to feel pleasantly drowsy even now.

Chin,

Sending my brain the signal.

Collarbone,

That it's safe now to relax and unwind.

Under the arm,

It feels so good to breathe slowly and deeply.

Top of the head,

And to let sleepiness begin to take over.

Eyebrow point,

Because nothing needs my attention now.

Side of the eye,

I'm free to surrender and let go.

Under the eye,

Unwinding,

Softening,

Releasing.

Under the nose,

Tomorrow will take care of itself.

Chin,

My body knows the way.

Collarbone,

To melt into dreamtime.

Under the arm,

And my mind is grateful to follow.

Top of the head,

Deeper and deeper into rest.

And take an easy breath.

And now,

If you're not already lying down,

I encourage you to do that.

Instead of tapping now,

We're going to progress to taking a soft belly breath with each phrase,

And just allowing the words to move you deeper into relaxation and rest.

You can repeat the phrases mentally if you choose,

Or just let them wash over you.

So grateful that my body is beginning to unwind.

Noticing a sense of peace and warmth moving through my limbs.

Enjoying the process of winding down.

Releasing my day.

Letting my system rest and digest.

My body remembers the path to drift deeper into relaxation.

My arms are feeling heavy and warm.

My solar plexus is relaxed and soft.

Feeling more and more peaceful with each breath I take.

Allowing a new gentle sleep story to unfold.

Leaning into beautiful,

Blissful relaxation.

Melting into the stillness and the peace.

Doing less and less.

Relaxing my mind and my nervous system.

Attuning to the frequency of peace.

Coming into effortless balance as I rest.

Feeling so grateful for bedtime.

Trusting and letting go.

Welcoming this well-deserved down time.
