So,

You've reached this part of your journey that I call Emancipation.

And I'm going to lead you in a guided meditation to help you remove the shackles that you may have put on yourself or someone else may have put on you that you don't even know you have.

I remember having an awakening one day while I was going through a divorce that I was shackled still to my ex-husband.

And I had immediately sat down and I did a meditation very similar to what I'm going to lead you in.

And it made all the difference.

Okay?

So,

Let's begin.

I'm going to ask you to sit in a quiet space,

Making sure that you're comfortable in your seat.

If you sit cross-legged,

Great.

If you have your feet on the ground,

Just anchor them into the earth.

Okay?

And then start by taking a very deep breath into your heart center,

Allowing it to open.

And then another breath right into that heart center that is love,

Building the energy,

Feeling it build within you.

Another breath,

Filling every cell of your being with love.

And just allow your mind to soften as we begin this meditation.

So I'm going to ask you to become aware of yourself,

Any thoughts you still have that are holding you back or keeping you stuck.

And I want you to see those thoughts as actual chains that are anchored into the ground.

Taking another deep breath as you see these shackles begin to form around your ankles.

And the shackles are attached to those chains.

And just notice how heavy all of it is.

And notice how you feel about that.

Again,

Taking a deep breath in,

Allowing yourself to see and or feel what being shackled in your life really is.

And then just notice if these are shackles that you did initiate yourself or if they are shackles that go further back.

Perhaps a parent or an ex of some kind,

An ex boss,

An ex spouse,

An ex friend,

Perhaps somebody said something or did something in your life that caused you to feel shackled.

And just notice who it was.

Maybe there's an initiating incident that built those chains and forged those shackles around your ankle.

Just notice.

Good.

Now with this next breath,

Breathing in into the heart and exhaling with intention,

I want you to state your intention to yourself to be free.

I choose to be free right now.

Just say that to yourself a few times.

I choose to be free right now.

I choose to be free.

I choose to be free from my past and any negative beliefs or emotions that have kept me stuck.

I choose to be free from my past and any negative emotions or beliefs that have kept me stuck.

I choose to be free.

And with another deep breath,

Breathing into love and exhaling love,

Notice that that love that you are within and the love that you are sending out with the breath is the very key that unlocks those shackles.

So on the count of three,

I'm going to ask you to unlock those shackles and step out of them.

So again,

Taking a deep breath,

Breathing in love and exhaling love,

Allowing that love to be the key.

Insert that key into the shackles and on the count of three,

Turn the key and open the shackles.

On the next breath,

Breathing in love and exhaling love,

One,

Two,

Three.

Right now I invite you to step free from what was,

What was keeping you stuck and anchored and held back and take a step into your future,

Into the truth of who you are now,

Into your freedom.

Breathing love,

Being love and exhaling love.

And when you're ready,

Just become fully present in your body,

In your seat,

Opening your eyes,

Knowing that you are free.

And so it is.

Wonderful and effective. I have never been good at labeling or recognizing what any given emotion might be - that's not uncommon on he autism spectrum, though. I cannot read body language well and often have no words to describe the sensations I experience. However, after years of meditation (and other study), I do recognize the inner peace and calm and contentment and enjoyment of simply being me, within this body, as being what I define as love in the sense of self-love. And this is what I tapped into for this practice. It didn't take outside experiences, just inner ones. Granted, it took me personally a long time to sort those out for myself. But just
