This session is designed to support nervous system regulation through gentle awareness and gradual relaxation. Steady Calm guides you into a grounded, settled state where the body can release accumulated stress and return to balance. Rather than effort or control, this practice allows calm to emerge naturally as the nervous system softens and stabilizes. Use this session whenever you feel overstimulated, emotionally loaded, or simply in need of a reset. It can also be returned to regularly as a way of maintaining a steady internal baseline. You may listen lying down or seated, and allow the experience to unfold at its own pace. With gratitude, Josh

Take a few moments and settle into a comfortable position.

Let your eyes close gently.

Allow yourself to set a simple intention for this session,

An intention to let the body feel supported,

And to allow the nervous system to settle into a calm,

Steady rhythm.

Allow your attention to turn inward.

Feel the surface beneath you.

Notice how your body is already being held.

Begin by becoming aware of the energy at the top of your head,

A quiet ease spreading across the scalp.

Let that ease move into your forehead,

Across the space behind the eyes,

Down through the jaw,

The tongue resting easily in the mouth.

Allow all the muscles in your face to begin to relax and unwind.

Now bring awareness to the neck and shoulders.

Imagine a gentle warmth moving through this area,

The shoulders settling downward,

Supported by gravity.

Let this warmth continue into the arms,

Through the upper arms,

The elbows,

The forearms,

All the way into the hands and fingers.

They can simply rest.

Bring awareness into the chest.

Notice the rhythm of your breathing.

Breath moving in and out at its own pace.

Each breath becomes a signal of safety,

A quiet message to the nervous system that it is ok to soften.

Feel the breath moving into the stomach.

The gentle rise and fall with each cycle,

The body responding naturally.

Allow awareness to move through the back,

Across the upper back.

The muscles releasing in layers,

The spine supported.

Now bring attention into the hips and pelvis.

A sense of grounding here,

Stability,

Support.

Let that feeling travel down through the thighs,

All the way into the feet.

Feel the feet resting,

Stable.

At this point,

The nervous system begins to recognize a deeper level of calm,

A steady baseline emerging.

Your thoughts may come and go,

Sensations may shift.

Everything is allowed to move at its own pace.

You may notice a sense of internal quiet developing,

Not empty,

Just spacious.

This is the body remembering how to regulate itself,

How to return to balance.

Take a few moments and linger in this feeling,

Letting the calm deepen naturally.

Letting the system settle.

When you are ready,

Begin to gently bring awareness back.

Begin to notice the room around you,

The surface beneath you.

Take one full easy breath.

When the time feels right,

Allow your eyes to open and carry this steady calm with you into the rest of your day.
