This is a gentle 8-minute meditation to help you reconnect with a deep sense of inner safety. Through mindful breath and body awareness, you’ll be guided to release tension and physically show your nervous system what it feels like to fully relax. As a result, you'll leave feeling more grounded in full present moment awareness. This is ideal for times of emotional overwhelm, stress or tension. This practice offers a supportive space to return to ease and genuine trust within yourself.

Arrive in your safe space wherever you are.

Allow yourself to get into a comfortable position and cross your arms over your chest,

Placing each hand on the opposite upper arm,

Just like you're giving yourself a hug.

Press gently,

But firmly,

Letting your hands ground you into this moment,

And if you'd like to alternate taps,

Pats,

Gentle squeezes on your upper arm,

Or keep them still,

Just find whatever serves you most right now.

Simply feeling the warmth,

The contact,

And the safety of your own body's presence.

I invite you to close your eyes or soften your gaze to something in the distance.

Take a deep,

Slow breath in,

Holding at the top,

And exhale,

Breathe in,

Hold at the top,

And exhale,

Again breathe in,

Coming to whatever breath,

Pace,

And rhythm feels the most nourishing for you right now.

Slowly breathing,

Simply let yourself gently rock side to side,

Just a little,

Finding this gentle sway like a soothing rhythm,

And let yourself know all parts of yourself,

Your body,

Your mind,

You are here,

You are safe to slow down,

You are safe to be held,

You are safe to soften your muscles,

You are safe to release tension,

You are safe to deepen and slow your breath down,

You are safe to feel into your body,

You are held,

You are safe,

You can soften now,

You can soften,

Feel yourself soften,

It is safe to soften,

Now you can keep your hands where they are if this is serving you,

You can continue your sway if this is serving you,

Or if you would like stillness instead,

You are invited to bring it in now,

Continuing the awareness of your body,

Notice the weight of your body against the surface beneath you,

Feel the gentle rise and fall of your breath,

And let yourself arrive fully here,

There is nowhere else to be,

Nothing to do,

Just this moment,

Just you,

A deep breath in,

Filling all the way up,

Hold,

And exhale through a straw,

Very very slow,

The slowest you can,

As you do releasing everything,

At the bottom hold your breath just slightly,

A deep breath in,

One more time filling all the way up,

And exhale through a straw,

Allowing yourself to arrive back into this space,

Slowly acquainting yourself with the around you,

Taking your time to return,

Feeling safe to be grounded,

Slow and calm in your body,

And giving one final moment of gratitude to your beautiful body and nervous system for allowing you to experience this feeling of safety,

Thank you,

I love you,

I am you,

You are me,

We are one,

All is well.
