Hello everybody and welcome to this quick reset experience that is inspired by the work of the HeartMath Institute To start I'll invite you to stand or sit in a way that feels comfortable to you And simply bring a little bit of gentle attention to your breath Being aware as you inhale that this is you inhaling And aware as you exhale that this is you exhaling in this moment And as you breathe,
Bringing that gentle attention,
I'll invite you to place your palms gently over your heart Slow your breath down,
Letting it stretch out And allow yourself to really feel the breath moving in and out of your heart center Feeling the heart and the chest expand as you breathe in and relax as you breathe out And as you enjoy the sensation of the breath moving in and out of the heart Allow yourself to connect with the moment from any time during your life Where you experienced a deeply replenishing emotion like joy,
Love,
Connection,
Gratitude,
Belonging And whatever comes up first is right any moment that you experienced one of these replenishing emotions And allow yourself to really step back into this moment Noticing any images that come to you,
Smells,
Sounds The quality of the light,
How this emotion felt in your body And as you allow yourself to connect with this moment in all of its emotional depth and richness I'll invite you to make a sincere attempt to fully experience that replenishing emotion whether it's joy,
Love,
Belonging And notice how your body and your breath respond to this And if you get a little distracted or it doesn't feel quite right,
That's fine,
We're just making a sincere attempt to re-experience the fullness of this emotion And as you allow this emotion more deeply in,
Become aware that with each beat of your heart,
Your heart is sending the energy and the felt sense of this emotion through all of the veins and capillaries So you can allow this emotion and the feeling of it to spread through your body,
Spreading from the heart,
Throughout the torso,
Down the shoulders to the tips of your fingers Down through your hips and your legs,
Down to the bottom of your feet And if you want to,
You can even allow this emotion to expand off of your body so that the energy of it,
The energy of this beautiful,
Replenishing emotion contained in the moment that you connected with It creates almost a force field around you through which you can experience the world and through which the world can experience you You can just imagine it creating an energetic shield or boundary around you And when you're ready,
You can remain connected with this emotion and gently bring your attention back to your breath Being aware that this is you inhaling and you exhaling in this moment And as soon as we close,
Just notice anything that you felt shift as we went through that and this is one that you can do anytime that you're experiencing stress or anxiety or simply throughout the day to reconnect with some of these beautiful,
