Lovely,

Lovely.

Welcome to stillness with Patti.

Taking a moment to let yourself get comfortable.

Maybe you're sitting or lying down,

Whatever allows you to feel fully supported and relaxed.

Taking a moment to gently lean your back into wherever you are resting.

Just feel that.

It's really subtle,

But it helps to regulate the nervous system.

Just leaning your back a little bit more deeply into whatever it is that is supporting you.

Taking a moment to breathe into that space,

Like you're breathing into your back,

Into the places that it is touching,

The chair or the bed.

Breathing into that connection point and letting yourself relax even more deeply.

And taking your awareness just further down the upper back,

Into the body.

It's where the kidneys sit with the adrenals on top of them.

And taking a moment to connect with your adrenals.

Are they screaming loudly?

Are they overworked?

Do they feel quite temperate?

Or are they relaxed?

Just noticing for yourself.

Just noticing for yourself how your own adrenals feel.

And we're not going to try and fix them or change them or make them different.

We're just going to love them for doing such a beautiful job.

Such a beautiful job of keeping us safe.

So noticing if one needs more attention than the other,

Or if it's both of them.

And I want you to take a moment to set up camp.

Set up camp with your adrenals.

And letting them know that they are your only focus right now.

They are your only focus right now.

And moving towards whichever adrenal wants your attention first.

And letting yourself love that adrenal.

Whichever way feels appropriate.

It might be physical touch,

Gentle,

Soothing,

Rubbing.

Might be words of affirmation.

Just noticing what that adrenal needs.

It might simply be validation.

Just surround it with your love and your gratitude and your acknowledgement.

Just taking a moment to soothe that part of the body.

Some of you might be able to visualize that.

If you can't visualize it,

Don't worry about it.

Just sense it or feel it.

Maybe you can hear it surrounding that adrenal with love and soothing.

I see you.

I acknowledge you.

Thank you for doing such a beautiful job of keeping me safe.

Just feeling that adrenal starting to regulate.

Just feeling it starting to soften.

Just being with it.

Acknowledging it.

Loving it.

Appreciating it.

And when you're ready,

You can gently shift your focus to the other adrenal.

If for any reason that adrenal's not there,

If it's been removed by surgery,

Just know that the blueprint is still there.

The energetic blueprint.

And asking that adrenal what it needs.

And then offering it your love,

Your time,

Your energy,

Your validation.

However feels good for you.

And just taking your time.

Just taking your time.

Telling that clever,

Special adrenal,

Thank you.

Thank you for taking such good care of me.

I see you.

I love you.

I acknowledge you.

And just breathing into the healing space of that.

And noticing if one needs more time or attention than the other.

Noticing if there is anything that they want to say to you.

Any message they want you to hear.

And feeling both adrenals soothed.

It's like a gentle reset,

A recalibration.

And as you do that,

Feeling all stress released from the body.

And maybe it turns to liquid and drains out of your feet.

Maybe it just evaporates out of your skin.

Maybe you breathe it out with every exhale.

Whatever feels good for you.

To feel all that stress just releasing from the body.

And it takes with it all anxiety,

All worry,

Just releasing from the body.

From your body.

And as it goes,

You start to notice the tiredness that is here.

This is what happens when the adrenals have been on high alert for a really long time.

There's an exhaustion,

Weariness.

And just allowing that,

The space to be acknowledged,

To be felt,

To be honored.

Not going to change it.

Not going to fix it.

Not going to try and make it different.

Not going to try and push it away.

Just sitting in the presence of bone weariness.

And gently saying to that,

I see you.

I feel you.

I love you.

And giving it the space to breathe,

To be felt,

To be experienced.

The space to be present.

And just for now,

Just breathing into that.

Breathing into that bone weariness.

All the places you've tried to push it away.

You've soldiered on.

Try to pretend it wasn't there.

Overridden it.

And right now,

Just sitting in the presence of it.

In the quietness of it.

In the acknowledgement of it.

Just being with it.

Just being with it in the quiet.

And if this had a message for you,

I wonder what it might say.

And if you want to continue to sit in the quiet,

The acknowledgement of this space,

You can do that now.

Just pausing your recording.

Otherwise,

Taking a soft,

Loving,

Gentle breath in.

And letting it go.

And another soft,

Gentle,

Loving breath in.

And exhaling.

And just feel yourself coming back.

And notice how you can still hold the space of loving those adrenals.

Loving that bone weariness.

Maybe those have more that they'd like to reveal to you through the next hours or days.

Taking another gentle,

Easy breath in.

Letting it go.

And coming back.

Gently,

Gently.

Coming back.

Coming back.

How poignant that this meditation showed up the day after discovering a tumor on one of my kidneys. Thank you so much for your soothing, loving voice-it helped ease some of my fear and anxiety. Also a big thanks for not having background music.
