The virus has changed the way we live in so many ways. In this practice, we hold space for the evolution in our being. We welcome the courageous and the brave that will emerge from these unprecedented times.

Please get yourself into a comfortable position with your feet firmly on the ground,

If you're sitting on a chair,

If you're sitting on a cushion then just cross-legged is fine.

Keeping our back straight,

Our hands can be on our knees or in our laps,

Whichever you prefer.

And just to drop the chin slightly and if you like you can close your eyes but if that doesn't make you feel good you can leave them open slightly.

That's great.

And be grateful that we are at home and thank that inner voice that encouraged you to be here today.

You really are making yourself a great offering.

Let's let go of any anxieties or obstacles or problems that we have right now and maybe those problems are a little bit of anger and disappointment.

So let's just breathe in a brand new breath,

A brand new day,

Breathing in through the nose and releasing out the nose slowly.

And again just breathing in through the nose and then releasing slowly.

Let's just do one more breath in freshness and beginning new beginnings,

Breathing in and slowly out the mouth,

Let it go.

And again just breathing in through the nose and then releasing slowly.

Let's just do one more breath in freshness and beginning new beginnings,

Breathing in and slowly out the mouth,

Let it go.

Let go of what doesn't serve you today,

Just let it out,

Let it go.

Coming out just to a calm breath,

A gentle breath,

A normal breath.

We are going to explore the idea of a brave new you.

Just using your breath to relax your body,

Relaxing your forehead,

Your eyebrows,

Relaxing your shoulders,

Your chin,

Your jaw,

Relaxing your body,

Relaxing your body,

Relaxing your forehead,

Your eyebrows,

Relaxing your shoulders,

Your chin,

Your jaw,

Relaxing your chest,

Relaxing your stomach,

Relaxing your legs,

Your feet,

Your toes,

Just feeling a sense of relax.

Let us try to imagine a you,

A new you,

A brave new you,

The you that will eventually come out of this lockdown when all phase 5,

4,

3,

2,

1 is over and we hear this.

It is a matter of how we can return back to the world and it will be a different world.

What will the you look like?

What will the you be like?

We each have our own obstacles that keeps us now from complete and permanent happiness.

But imagine a future you that is obstacles.

Imagine that you,

That brave new you,

And really feel how you would look and how you would think.

And often to experience freedom is to imagine ourselves free and that sets just the beautiful intention for us to eventually be in that way,

Free of an addiction or a problem.

And then our current thoughts and words and actions will align themselves to match that image of a brave new you.

The way we see ourselves is created by our actions,

Our words and our thoughts.

But these ideas are completely changeable,

Like how you see chocolate.

So if you monitor your actions,

Your words and thoughts,

Your view of the world and yourself changes.

Be the change you want to see in the world.

What does a free and happy you look like?

Try to just feel that your potential is unlimited,

Vast and profound.

Imagine that you are that person now.

With every breath just feel that you are breathing as this brave new person and that you are that person now.

The old self has died and you've now just stepped into the brave new world.

Resting your mind on your breath and observe whatever arises,

A thought,

A sensation.

With this new brave you,

How would we approach these thoughts that arise?

Would we see them in a different way?

Just observe the things that take your attention at this time.

You're focusing just on your breath and you're breathing from that place of power,

From that place of intention and whatever arises can we relook at that?

Spend a bit of time observing how these things would look for you.

As if we could change and we have,

Looking at it with fresh eyes.

As if we've never seen it before perhaps or just from a different way.

Once Mandela said when he came out of prison if he didn't leave behind his resentment and anger he would still be stuck in prison.

What can we let go of today?

This brave new you is not such a big shift.

It's actually just a simple thought of I am enough.

It's also the ability to recognize all our good qualities and all the wonderful things that we have accomplished and all the battles that we've won both internally and externally.

To acknowledge that about yourself and say I am a really that brave person.

I've come so far.

I am enough.

Just settling now on the breath and resting in the feeling of your great self and whatever potential exists for you.

That brave new you that exists right now.

Dropping the chin down to the chest let us take in a beautiful new breath.

Breathing in and then slowly release out the mouth.

Great.

So you can slowly open your eyes and look around.

Wow everything may look new to you now.

Thank you, I really needed that. Even when repeating the mantra - “I’m a brave, new person; I’ve come so far” it released tears down my face….but after repeating it over and over it became part of me. Armed with bravery going into a very challenging chapter. Love 💜🙏

I enjoyed this. I feel like a Brave New Me. I thought the background music could be a bit softer when the speaker is speaking. Thank you!
