Please find a comfortable seat either on the floor or in a chair.
As you softly close your eyes,
Begin to find your natural posture.
Notice how this opens your belly to the natural flow of breath.
Hear belly gently expanding and contracting as you listen to the soft,
Soothing sound of the breath.
Take a moment to surrender to its gentle cadence.
And with each breath,
Your shoulders fall away from your ears.
Your arms and hands rest a little more deeply on your lap.
Your hips,
Legs,
And feet settle into the chair or the ground beneath you.
Your face begins to soften.
Your jaw loosening,
Allowing a little space between the teeth.
And inside,
Your soft palate and the root of the tongue softens.
Begin to experience sensations at your ears and temples and across the bridge of your nose and cheeks.
Experience sensations in your scalp and allow your forehead and brow to relax.
Focus especially on eyebrow center.
All those little worried lines in your brow,
The corners of your eyes and mouth are melting away.
Your whole face radiant,
Open,
And soft.
Now allow this feeling to move down through your shoulders,
Your arms,
And especially your hands.
Feel the abundance of sensations in the whole of both hands and fingers.
Allow your chest to naturally broaden front and back.
The space inside your chest opening and softening too.
The pulse of your heart reminding you of your aliveness.
Take this moment to open to its power.
Now feel your belly,
Sensing all of the organs inside.
Every breath massaging your belly organs,
Enhancing their function.
Move your awareness to the bowl of your pelvis and imagine the breath gently filling the space inside.
And now experience the hips and all the muscles that attach there.
Relaxing and opening.
And carry this feeling down into the legs,
Your knees,
Your ankles,
And the whole of both feet,
Even your toes.
Now allow that same awareness to permeate your whole body and experience what it is to be alive in your body at this moment.
Feel it now.
Again return to the soft sound of your breath and surrender to its easy rhythm.
And now picture yourself moving through the rest of your day with this same sense of ease and grace.
Experience it as a feeling as though you are living it now.
With your eyes still closed,
Sense the space around you.
As you breathe in,
Imagine that you are easily filling that space with your breath.
No strain,
Just natural open expansive breaths.
As you begin to open further,
Notice how your body seems almost hungry for these deep yawning breaths.
Now go ahead and stretch your arms and legs,
Your fingers and toes.
Maybe even turning your head a little to loosen your neck.
And let your eyes open.
