Welcome.

This will be a five minute meditation.

The focus of this meditation is finding gratitude.

Take a few moments to find a comfortable seated or lying position.

Make sure your palms are face up towards the sky.

Allow your eyes to close if that feels natural to you.

Allow your whole body to feel relaxed and still.

Let's take some time now to tune in to our breath.

Can you find a comfortable breath in the same way that you found a comfortable physical position?

Take your time.

Now let's find two or more things that you feel grateful for.

These could be tangible things.

They could be people,

Places or experiences that have shaped your life.

If you have two legs,

Two arms and two eyes that work well enough,

Then we've just found six things for you to be grateful for.

Now make in your mind a visual representation of these things and allow them to be bright and vibrant.

Find the feeling of gratitude inside yourself as you shift your focus between these visuals.

You might repeat the word gratitude inside your mind or another word that works for you.

You might enjoy an internal commentary on how much gratitude you feel for each of these things.

You might like complete silence as these images swim through your mind.

Find whichever works best for you and allow your entire focus to be here.

Now I'll leave you with these thoughts and images for just a few moments.

Let's begin now to deepen our breath.

To allow ourselves to come back into the room very slowly without rushing.

Begin to wiggle your fingers and then your toes.

When you feel ready,

Take your arms up overhead and stretch out in any way that feels good to you.

And then when you're ready,

Open your eyes.

Thank you.

Thanks for that. I'm a little scared how it wasn't easy to find the second thing to be grateful for, because being alive is such a great achievement for me, I couldn't see anything else before you gave some examples. There's a lot to me grateful for. I'm grateful for this meditation

Great short gratitude time. Voice was low & soothing. Liked hearing that tone first thing in morning. Had abrupt end but I very much enjoyed this time.
