Welcome beautiful one to this guided reflective meditation focusing on the harmony that acceptance brings.
Acceptance of oneself,
Of others and of circumstances.
This meditation inspired by the new moon in Aquarius brings the opportunity of harmonious new beginnings as a new cycle unfolds.
A chance to reflect on your physical self non-judgmentally,
A chance to see others as yourself,
A chance to see circumstances as they really are and a chance to go beyond your experience of this relative world,
To see beyond the veil.
Find a comfortable position and take a deep breath.
You're invited to tell yourself that this time in reflective meditation is only a small period of your day,
That any problems,
Agendas and worries are permitted to be forgotten during this time,
Only to be remembered after the meditation is finished.
Bring awareness to the sensations of your face and neck,
Of the air on your skin,
Of any tension held around the forehead,
Eyes,
Jaw and tongue and relax,
Releasing tension.
Bring awareness to your shoulders,
Arms and hands,
Of the feeling of your clothes,
Of warmth or coolness,
Of tension and relax.
Bring awareness to your chest and upper back,
Of the feeling of your clothes,
Of warmth or coolness,
The rise and fall of your chest.
Recognize any tension and release it.
Bring awareness to your tummy and lower back,
Release any tension.
Bring awareness to your trunk,
Feel the firmness of your seat,
Notice any remaining tension and relax.
Bring awareness to your thighs,
Of your arms resting,
Release any tension.
Bring awareness to your calves,
Release any tension.
Awareness to your feet,
Feel the firmness of where they rest,
Release any tension.
You are safe.
Focus now on your breath,
Breathing from the belly,
Filling your chest and lungs to the count of three,
Just as when pouring water into a glass it fills from the bottom upwards.
On your exhale to the count of three,
Exhale from the top down,
Just as when emptying a glass of water it empties from the top down.
Be aware of the coolness of the breath in and the warmth of the breath out.
Until the gong,
Continue with this peaceful practice.
Return to your natural breathing rhythm.
You already have everything you need.
You already are what you seek.
The identity so closely clung to,
The anger,
The envies,
The desires and cravings of the mind never touch your true self.
They are like clouds temporarily covering the Sun,
The light that is truly you.
The troubles and the dislikes of this relative experience,
The delights and pleasures cannot touch the unchanging,
Unlimited and eternal self that you are.
Until the gong,
Reflect on the following.
The troubles and dislikes are merely a compass that show resistance to the flow of experience.
The resistance that brings suffering,
The delights and pleasures that we desire to prolong,
All these experiences pass.
Let them be.
Let them guide you to a detached acceptance of the moment.
See every moment as an opportunity to expand your mindset.
Think beyond conventional boundaries.
See this life experience,
Whatever it brings,
Brimming with positivity and hope.
For each moment is a moment to realize your true self,
Beyond the experience,
Whether named good or bad.
Know,
Love and trust yourself,
Your rough parts,
Your smooth parts,
Your passions,
Aggression,
Ignorance and wisdom.
Until the gong,
You're invited to release the grip of past haunts,
Viewing them not as lingering shadows but as fleeting memories.
The experience is gone.
Only the thought of the experience remains.
If you are in pain,
Suffering,
See it for what it is,
Past.
And your past does not define you now.
You are not your thoughts and therefore you are not your memories.
There is only now and within this moment there is an opportunity to set an intention to take control of your thinking,
Act differently and peer beyond the veil of spiritual ignorance.
To see through new eyes.
See that whether there is an experience of pain or pleasure,
You can let your experience be as it is.
With no need to manipulate it,
Push it away or desperately grasp it.
All that exists is one.
Your pain and pleasures are others pains and pleasures.
There will have been times when you have considered yourself to have behaved badly.
You are not alone.
Until the gong,
You're invited to contemplate how the behaviors of others,
Especially those that irritate you,
Are merely reflections of your own experiences.
Consider when someone has been compassionate to you despite your behavior.
Could you offer that compassion to others when they hurt you?
As one with all,
What we do to others we do to ourselves.
In this way you truly value yourself and others and there's an opportunity to shed destructive habits and behaviors,
Making room for a more focused way of being.
Elevating consciousness to recognize the intrinsic worth of each being.
Creating a space where unity and harmony thrive.
In recognizing oneness there is the ability to transcend the ordinary.
To accept what is and find the magic within each moment.
You are,
However,
Beyond the moment.
The moment is just a fleeting moment of existence,
Already becoming a mere memory.
You are perfect,
Whole and complete.
You always have been and you always will be.
You're invited now to return to the yogic breathing practiced earlier.
Breathing in for three seconds and out for three seconds.
Now extend the exhale only to six seconds.
Breathing in for three and out for six.
Now at the end of each inhalation and exhalation,
Hold the breath for a period that is comfortable to you.
Do not force anything and should you feel uncomfortable,
Return to breathing in for three and out for six without the hold.
Continue until the gong.
Should your mind wander,
Simply say to yourself compassionately the word thinking and gently bring your attention back to the breath.
To help with this there will be periodic wind chimes sounding.
The music will now fade out.
In the quiet space between the breaths realize your true self.
Unlimited,
Unchanging,
Whole,
Complete and eternal.
Return to your natural gentle breathing rhythm.
There is nothing in this life experience that can touch,
Harm,
Change or destroy your true self and in this knowledge you can find peace and harmony on this life journey.
Recognize your individuality for what it is.
Find harmony.
Recognize the individuality of others for what it is.
Find harmony.
Recognize the relativity of experiences and circumstances for what they are.
Find harmony.
Only one is absolute and that is what you are.
Absolute reality beyond relative experience.
You are gifted in your humanity.
Accept the gift with grace however it is wrapped.
As this meditation draws to a close I invite you to spend some time in gratitude for all that is.
Focus on your breathing for a few cycles.
In your own time gently open your eyes.
Please join with me in one Om and three shanties.
Om Shanti,
Shanti,
Shanti Namaste
