Hi,

This is Stefania.

Did you know it's okay to be unhappy?

I'm not talking about some serious circumstance that's happened in your life or something that has truly caused you to grieve.

I'm talking about the unhappiness when you just.

.

.

Nothing's right.

You just don't feel good inside.

Of course,

If your happiness is very deep,

Very disturbing,

Very serious,

You should perhaps seek help or counseling or something.

But I'm talking about if you're just in a funk.

If you just don't feel good.

It is okay not to be happy.

It's okay to be unhappy,

To feel it.

Sometimes being unhappy can be a signal that changes need to be made.

We may have been traveling a certain path and it's not working out.

So maybe it's time to have a think and come up with a new action plan.

We can try to hang in the situation while the new plan works itself out or we figure it out.

And just the knowledge that we're doing something about our situation can lift our mind.

Sometimes we know that we're doing our best.

That can lift us.

Sometimes we're unhappy because we're disappointed in ourselves or in our efforts or our progress thus far.

I think there's no use in trying to put on a happy face.

It's okay to feel sad,

Even to cry.

Sometimes you really,

Really feel bad.

And if it brings you to tears,

It's okay.

You're not going to be crying forever.

But if it's a true desire,

We've got to come back and carry on.

Try to look at where we went wrong and try to set off on the right path.

That's where I believe.

What do you think?

That's where having a really strong why,

The reason for your journey can help us.

And having a community or a group of friends because we are often our own harshest critic.

So sometimes we need somebody outside of us to tell us it's not so bad.

Or somebody might have an idea on how we can pick ourselves up and move onwards and upwards.

This is just a little short broadcast because the bottom line is don't kick yourself in the pants,

In the bum if you feel unhappy.

It's okay.

The thing is don't get so down,

Sinking down,

Down,

Down and you think worse things about yourself.

You're no good.

Life is no good.

You'll never do what you want to do.

Try to pull yourself up.

It's okay to just be in that space for a bit but come out of it as soon as you can.

I think.

What do you think?

If your general habit to maybe listen to some positive podcasts,

To read books,

To just do affirmations,

If it's like a general part of your life to work at being positive just like exercising.

I think we can bounce back that much faster when we're feeling down,

When we're feeling unhappy.

That's why if we have that reserve from positive influences in the past,

Building up,

Building up,

Building up,

That's why it's okay when you feel down to let it be because you know you're coming back up.

You know you're special.

You know you're talented.

You know it all deep inside so if you feel bad,

Do it for a bit then move on.

So how do you pull yourself out of a funk?

How do you pull yourself up when you think you're in a rut,

When you feel really bad like it's not going to happen?

What do you do to cheer yourself up?

One thing that you can do as a kind of preventative medicine is to start a journal.

It doesn't have to be fancy.

It can just be a spiral notebook.

In this journal,

Every day that you can manage,

Write down three things that you are grateful for,

Write down two things that happened on the day that you were writing in your journal that were good things that happened to you that day,

Two things in which you felt accomplished,

In which you felt a winner,

In which you felt good about yourself.

And lastly,

In your journal,

Write one thing,

One thing about how you feel blessed or lucky to be alive.

Do this every day or as many days as you can manage.

Then when you're feeling down,

When you're feeling sad,

After you've let out whatever emotions,

Whatever tension that you need to just let go of,

Get out that journal and have a read through it.

And hopefully that will bring you back even a little bit to realize you're still okay.

You're still blessed.

You still have something to be grateful for.

Give it a try.

And that's it for now.

Bless.

Bye for now.

Just what I needed to make myself feel better. Thank you. Will listen again when I need another boost. You are so encouraging and allow us to accept the temporary unhappiness! Namaste
