So,
In today's Wisdom Bits,
Let's talk,
Let's explore the possibility,
The option that we can control our thoughts or change them to let go of negative and depleting thoughts and embrace more positive,
Empowering thoughts,
Even if it's not all the time,
When we can to lift and improve our lives.
Then we have 15 positive affirmations,
Which you can either just listen and absorb the energy,
Or I'll leave a little bit of space afterwards and you can say them along with me.
Either way,
It's okay.
It's just these affirmations,
Just something to reinforce our power to choose which way we want our thoughts to go,
To help us live a more stress free,
Easier life and handle challenges a bit more easily.
These challenges won't disappear,
But maybe we can do a little to help us manage them better.
Our thoughts are incredibly powerful.
They shape our reality.
They influence our emotions and impact our overall wellbeing.
But many of us,
Sometimes me,
Maybe sometimes you,
Struggle with negative or depleting thoughts that can hold us back and make us feel stuck.
But the good news is that we have the power to control our thoughts and change them to be more positive and empowering.
Sometimes we think,
That's just the way it is.
I can't do anything about it.
I feel bad,
But really we can change that.
We can bring ourselves back up again.
We don't have to just spiral down and down and down.
We can catch it and bring ourselves back up again.
Here are some tips to help us.
First,
It's important to become aware of our thoughts.
We often have automatic negative thoughts that occur,
But we don't even realize it.
But by becoming more mindful of our thoughts,
We can catch these negative patterns and begin to change them.
It's so easy to get caught in what we'll call a negative thought pattern and just go down,
Down,
Down,
Down,
Down.
So the thing is,
We got to catch it.
Sometimes it's hard,
But we got to catch it.
Sometimes it's like a tidal wave and we just quickly sink into the negative feeling.
But that doesn't mean you're a bad person.
Just when you can,
Grab hold and bring yourself back up.
One way is to keep a thought journal.
Watch those thoughts,
Write down our thoughts throughout the day and take note of any negative or unhelpful ones.
Then once we have identified these negative thoughts,
It's time to face them,
To challenge them.
We can ask ourselves,
Are they really true?
Is it a fact?
Sometimes our negative thoughts are based on assumptions or beliefs that are not grounded in reality,
But in our heads,
They've been there so long.
That's our truth.
So let's question them.
We can begin to see them more objectively and then replace them with more positive ones,
More empowering ones.
And then every time,
It might take several times,
But every time that thought comes,
Challenge it as best you can.
Another technique is called reframing.
Reframe those thoughts.
That means taking negative thought and finding a more positive perspective.
Same thought,
Just turning it around.
If you would ordinarily say,
I'm not good enough.
How about,
I'm always learning and growing.
That puts us in the process.
We may not be at the end,
But we're in the process and that knocks out that feeling of not good enough.
You're on your way.
That can help us shift our mindset from self-doubt to hopefully,
Or eventually,
Self-love and confidence.
I believe positive affirmations can be very helpful with reframing,
Even if we don't believe them when we first say them.
If we continue to work with them,
We find them as we go along.
We can tweak it,
Change it,
To use words that are in harmony with our energy.
Then they can work to help us reframe things and see things in a different light.
When we say an affirmation that's in harmony with our energy,
Then we don't fight it and we can reframe and move on.
Another point is surround ourselves with positivity.
Doesn't mean running around in the,
As the saying goes,
Rose colored glasses,
But it just means to spend time with people who uplift you.
Engage in activities that bring us joy and consuming media that inspires us.
Sometimes too much news or too much heaviness can bring us down a bit.
Sure,
We want to know what's going on in the world,
But let's try also to consume media that inspires us,
Lifts us in some way.
We fill our lives with positivity and we can create an environment that supports our efforts to control our thoughts.
We can't control what's going on in the world,
But we can control.
We can control what's going on in our immediate,
Personal,
Energetic environment.
That's what we're working on.
That's where our power is.
That's where we are free.
Last thing,
Self-compassion.
Changing our thoughts takes time,
Doesn't it?
We are constantly fighting ourselves sometimes saying,
Don't be so Pollyanna.
Don't be so crazy.
This is what is.
Be patient with ourselves and celebrate the successes along the way.
Journaling is very helpful for this.
It can be any kind of a journal,
Something on your phone even,
Just something you can see the changes.
The more changes that you like,
That you see,
The more you can do.
The more you can do,
The better you feel and the better you feel,
The more positive you can be.
Maybe not 100% of the time,
But the more positive you can be overall.
There are a few little tools that we can use to help us bit by bit,
Have that more positive,
Empowering outlook on our lives.
We can do things like yoga or meditation,
Which helps us to slow down and examine ourselves in our world.
Or we can try tapping,
Otherwise known as emotional freedom technique.
This is tapping on different meridian points and this works to release locked energy and make the way clear for positive or just a heightened sense of self-empowerment and confidence and well-being and just knowing who we truly are instead of maybe who we thought we were for so many days or months or years.
There are tools that we can use.
We don't have to just go on willpower.
It's nothing shameful about using tools to help us get to where we want to go in our journey of self-esteem,
Empowerment,
Spirituality,
Service to others,
Learning to trust our intuition and to trust ourselves.
Doesn't mean you're a bad person.
It means you're growing.
Now let's do some affirmations to try and free up some energy and move into a higher energy vibration.
I'll say them first and then if it's your choice you can just listen or I'll leave a little space and you can repeat them.
And if you have some that particularly resonate with you,
Why not put them in your journal or put them on a card somewhere where you can see them and enforce the good energy.
Let's begin.
These are a few positive affirmations that will help encourage positive or more uplifting type thinking.
I am worthy of love and respect.
I choose to focus on the good in my life.
I am capable of achieving my goals.
I trust myself to make the right decisions.
I am grateful for all that I have.
I embrace new opportunities with enthusiasm.
I am confident in my abilities.
I am resilient and can overcome any challenge.
I am surrounded by love and support.
I am deserving of happiness and joy.
I choose to let go of negative thoughts and emotions.
I am in control of my thoughts and emotions.
I am constantly growing and evolving.
I choose to see the good in others.
I am at peace with myself and the world around me.
And so it is.
All is well.
