Hello,

Everyone.

Amanda here and welcome to day four of this meditation series.

Congratulations if you've made it this far,

That is an accomplishment.

And welcome to anybody who might be joining.

You don't have to follow this series to be able to follow along with this meditation.

So I am currently sitting on top of the mountain peak.

And it's beautiful.

It's one of the first sunny days that we've had and what feels like forever.

So I'm just so happy and lucky and grateful to be able to go outside and enjoy these mountains.

So if you want to do that with me,

You can visualize.

There's some sagebrush around.

There's some birds,

The little red winged blackbirds.

So they just have this little spot of red,

You might hear those.

They sound like they sound like Star Wars,

The little lightsabers.

It's amazing.

It's so crazy sounding.

It's really cool.

There's a little bit of a breeze.

And it's just warm and nice.

So you can be sitting there with me.

Or you can be sitting on your couch.

And I guarantee,

Wherever you might be meditating,

It's all the same.

It's just as easy.

And it's just as hard,

No matter where you are.

So please know that you don't have to be in some Zen mountain scenery or on a beach or in this totally tranquil place.

You just have to get there in your mind.

I guarantee hiking a mountain does not make meditation easier.

So if you want to go to the next slide,

I'll show you how to do that.

So to start off,

I'd like to quote a poem from Christy Ann Martin.

When your world moves too fast,

And you lose yourself in the chaos,

Introduce yourself to each color of the sunset.

Requaint yourself with earth beneath your feet.

Thank the air behind yourself in the appreciation of life.

She so beautifully states that the world is ever changing around us.

And it's always what it will be.

And it's always what it once was.

And all we can do is be here to be present.

So moving forward in this meditation today,

We're going to watch our thoughts float by like clouds in the sky.

This is a very common theme in meditation.

And instead of trying to control your thoughts,

Control your breath,

We're just going to watch them float by.

Try your best not to feed into your own thoughts.

As we've talked about before,

It's normal to think.

But see if you're adding a storyline,

A fantasy,

A grocery list.

So see,

Just see if you're doing that.

And if you are just cloud in the sky,

Floating by.

And these practices are pretty important.

So this is going to be followed by about two minutes of a sound meditation bowl.

And so just dedicate yourself to that time.

So we'll start with a big breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.

In through the nose and out through the mouth.

Last one,

Make it your slowest.

In and out.

In and out.

In and out.
