Hi friends,

Welcome back to another episode.

I'm going to share my Reiki journey and how Reiki principles help me throughout my initial journey days.

Which I still continue to use them on my daily life and these are simple principles and anyone can benefit even if you're not trained to be a Reiki healer.

But I'm still okay because these are very much open for anyone to try them and just see what the benefits you get out of them.

So the principles are here as follow.

So just for today is the concept about it.

So just for today do not be angry.

Just for today I'll let go of anger.

Just for today I'll let go of worry.

Just for today I'll count my many blessings.

Just for today I'll work honestly and just for today I'll be kind to every living being around.

They are very simple and very much a common sense related but many of these things that we have forgotten to apply in our daily lives and we are going to remind ourselves how to bring it back.

Because bringing these principles back into our lives is so important and to practice and make a habit is so so important to be grounded,

To be functioning in our alignment.

Because the world is going so fast.

We are going at a fast pace.

We are forgetting to be here,

Breathe just for the moment.

There is this amazing thing I read somewhere.

You breathe only for right now.

You don't breathe for yesterday.

You don't breathe for tomorrow.

And living by that moment that you are breathing is the most important thing.

Because think about it.

We are not there for yesterday and tomorrow.

So why do we worry?

Why do we hold on to things?

And why do we get anxious at everything that we have no control on?

It's just because things are moving faster and we are anxious about how do we go so fast.

And if you are not able to and we don't want to skip,

There is this thing for more.

I don't know if you heard about it.

But it is an interesting thing right?

Fear of missing out and that makes us go faster,

Get into the rat race.

So today,

Just for today,

Listen to these things just from today's concept.

You are not going to change anything for the whole of your life or five year plan or anything.

You are just going to relook into your life where you can apply these principles with an open mindset and only for today this is going to apply.

And here you go.

Just for today do not be angry.

This is the first principle that I was trained in Reiki.

So to begin with my Reiki journey,

It began in 2009 and then in 2010 I got trained being a Reiki healer,

Reiki practitioner and Reiki master.

Now I do teach Reiki to different students with no background in spirituality or someone in a journey as well.

And these principles will be the first thing that I always teach in level one.

So when I say just for today do not be angry,

When we haven't done the work,

This could be too much of intimidating.

And this could be pushing us behind,

Saying how could I not be angry at different things that has happened in my life?

How could I not be angry at the people that made it or angry at myself?

But here is it.

Take a deep breath.

Let all those thoughts do come into your mind.

Acknowledge them.

You don't need to push them away.

You don't need to hide from those.

But the most important thing is this emotion is equally important as you need to be kind to yourself.

So with that think about you're just taking it in.

And it's a.

.

.

So anger is a life force energy and it has nothing to do with our productiveness.

It's only going to harm us and destroy us in a longer term or create many health issues.

In 2009,

When my journey was starting up,

I was being diagnosed with joint inflammatory arthritis,

Where I wasn't able to walk or do any of the simple things with ease.

I was taking hours to get ready and it was all that stagnant energy that was sitting in my bones,

The joints and everything.

Then I came across Louise Hay book,

You Can Heal Your Body.

And in that book,

There is a relation between the mind,

Emotions and the impact it does to the physical body.

So I just looked upon what does inflammation mean?

What does joint issues mean?

And it mentioned it's related to anger.

And that made me even more triggered up because as a young adult,

I was always said or I was always tagged as I'm an angry person or I react or jump to conclusions quicker.

But the whole thing brought onto the surface for me to relook in a different angle.

And this time when I was relooking my life from different point of view as an open book,

Not judging,

But witnessing what are my life challenges,

What are the stories that I lived up with.

And when I looked into it,

It was a trigger point that I was getting into.

If someone says I'm angry,

I would be getting more triggered about.

But the reality is I was opening up and speaking to be honest.

And a lot of people weren't ready to hear my words and they would try to suppress.

And this is the anger is the word that would come up.

Of course,

I would agree that I didn't have the right words to use or I didn't know how to convince people with my ideas or even to allow them to think from my angle over the times I'm learning.

I think it's still a work in progress.

Yeah.

But the most important thing is it is the others or it is a mirror reflection that could also trigger you.

It is environment that we are growing up and that would be our trigger point.

You just you need to relook into it from a different point,

Not from the same angle.

We never get a solution from the same point of the problem that you're looking at.

You need to switch up and look at 360 degrees and that makes you relook and regain some information.

That that whole point about the anger,

The situations I started reaffirming.

I'm releasing anything that's not of my highest service.

I'm releasing any emotions that are not of my highest service.

And that way I was able to release and over a year's time with no medications,

Just from healing and practicing these affirmations.

I was able to be more mobile.

I was getting pain free days and I was living my life as I was supposed to.

And that was a big shift.

Like,

You know,

Anger is that emotion.

If it gets stagnant in your body,

Your joints could ache.

You can pick this up or you'll feel more immobile.

Yeah.

So take it as a recheck in with yourself how you can work on it.

And here I would like to share a powerful technique that also helps us to relook into it when we are getting angry or emotional.

And how we can control it as well.

So imagine placing the tip of the tongue on the pressure point inside your mouth,

Which is right at the behind of your teeth.

It's the center ridge where you have the creases.

Place your tip of the tongue over there and take a deep breath and breathe out.

So the tip of the tongue on the center of the ridge behind your front teeth and breathe.

Doing this brings a balance in your left and right hemispheres of the brain.

This balances you.

And also it radiates a loving energy with a smiling face.

And even if you're unable to speak,

You just feel more calmer.

And that gush of energy that was flowing in is being released.

How many times did you ever think like,

You know,

I wish I didn't say those words or I really didn't mean it.

But it just came out because I was in a mad or I was in that triggered emotion.

So this is great.

Like you can control those words.

You don't need to say the things that you you really didn't mean to.

And bring back your balance.

You are in control of it when we lose the control.

You are surrendering to those situations.

You are surrendering to the other people,

But not yourself.

The other tip that I do is the drinking water.

So if there is any anger situations or there is discussions that I know I'm going to lose my control in doing this,

I can avoid or I'll get a new perspective because sometimes it's just that quick fraction of those milliseconds is needed before you react to think what is the best way to react.

And for that,

I would generally go out of the room where the conversations are happening,

Get myself some water drink and then come back.

The whole perception changes.

And either I really don't need to speak what I meant to say or the purpose is solved or it's not as fueled up as it was before I was there.

So it just again makes you calmer when you are calmer.

You are more in control of yourself.

Now the next one,

One more tip that we were always trained in schools and at homes is about Gandhi.

As we all know,

He is not into violence and he preached all his life about it.

And one of the things that he preached is to count one to 10 and this will help you to control your anger.

And that way there is no violence that needs to be in a situation and it can be avoided.

So that is a great one as well.

Like,

Yeah.

But with this autopilot,

Maybe sometimes it's not the one to 10,

But maybe it could be 20 to 1,

The reverse numbers,

Because that is where your brain pauses,

Thinks about it or alphabets as well you can try.

But definitely that does work.

Yeah,

It brings us a balance and a smile as well.

So sometimes anger at others or oneself or the whole world creates a several blockages in one's energy.

And it does interfere into our chakras,

Meridians,

Into our whole body,

Muscles and the cells as well.

People could be angry at a situation or something they have been targeted or they have been betrayed or they have been at a loss.

There are many reasons to be at like,

You know,

The world is not fair or they didn't have a fairness in their whole life.

So it is so important again to address those things.

Maybe having something if they are deeper,

Maybe having a therapy will help as well.

Like,

You know,

Or journaling them down or having a conversation with your good friend might help you as well.

I really don't want to put some ideas here what those situations could be,

Because we all have got a story.

And in these stories we do have our own experiences.

You don't need to justify to anyone.

These are genuine.

These are your experiences.

So go buy it.

And you are the one who has to detangle them and move forward.

Definitely learning Reiki will help because it's energy clearance.

And by clearing up the energies and pumping in the life force or the prana into us,

We are removing any of the past energies that have got stagnant.

And also we are bringing the peace and calmness into our mind.

Yeah.

So once the old stuff is released,

It's easier to plant with ourselves with the new energies that are going to come in.

Yeah.

So just for today,

You can say just for today,

Do not be angry or just for today,

I let go and feel the peace because some people feel,

Oh,

When I'm saying just for today,

I won't be angry.

It's like I'm inviting angry in the world.

So how about we can replace just for today,

I let go and feel the peace.

It's all about how you want to work with the world and the world will do those magics and the manifestation happens.

So experience anger is not necessarily a bad thing.

Remember,

It signals us that someone or something has perhaps crossed a boundary.

And what actually matters is how we deal with the anger.

And something makes you so angry,

Try to get to the root of it,

Sit comfortably with it,

Like,

You know,

Rather than avoiding and trying to move away from it.

Actually,

Do notice what is the trigger is.

Rather,

I would suggest you not to suppress your emotions,

But actually talk to it and work on it above the surface.

And be gentle on yourself.

Don't judge yourself like,

You know,

It's just not you who is so mad or you are the only one that you find it so,

So difficult to release this.

It's going to happen to anyone as well.

So definitely,

Anger is not about suppressing emotions,

But rather coming in terms with our anger and peeling away the layers to see what the trigger is.

And this is where the real journey and the real work begins as well.

And it is a reminder for us to come to the surface and understand rather than judging or shaming it in any way.

I mean,

We have done those things at the time it was justifiable to ourselves and we just need to see how better we can make ourselves right today,

Right in this time.

Yeah,

That's it.

But not to hold the grudge or hold another new emotion to the past ourselves.

And just for today,

Just for today,

Do not be angry and just today,

Welcome the peace into your life and think about how amazing your life has been.

With the whole aspect of the anger,

We start,

We actually stop living the life we meant to because only it projects the hatred,

Discomfort,

Dislikes,

Uncomfort from us,

From people and everything.

But once you start welcoming peace and calmness,

Everything all of a sudden is more brighter.

You start seeing the beauty around you.

You start living in the present moment.

And that is where the big shift happens.

And now if you're a Reiki healer,

You can ask Reiki energy to flow through you and release those deep hurts,

Deep moments of emotions and welcome a shift and welcome you into your new beginnings.

Now take a deep breath,

Let it all sink in.

And as I'm talking,

Maybe you can journal anything that's coming up or just a piece of paper as well.

And you can go back and relook into it.

And also there is this thing with anger,

Has anyone ever achieved anything?

Probably not.

But with determination,

With calmness,

Have they achieved?

Yes,

A big time.

So make this as your new habit.

Break the old cycles and you can do it.

Remember,

You definitely can do it.

It's only for today you're thinking about it.

Not for tomorrow,

Not for yesterday,

But only for today.

So moving to our next one.

Just for today,

Do not worry.

Just for today,

Do not worry.

And how does that feel?

Doesn't that feel good?

Just saying that out loud.

Isn't it a beautiful idea?

Since worries are always boils down to fear of the future,

Fear of something that hasn't happened or just something that you don't even know what it is going to be like.

But how about we change that course into just for today?

You trust everything happening in your life is for your good.

Everything is for your benefit.

And you're going to be worry free.

How liberating is that?

Isn't it?

And that itself is so,

So important to be even thinking.

No matter.

Worries are generally like,

You know,

Around your health issues,

Around your children being away or around how you're leading your life or what your work is going to bring in the next couple of days or years as well.

But hasn't we learned our biggest lesson over the last 15,

16 months around not to worry about the future that we have no control?

Isn't it?

In 2019,

We all had big plans for 2020 and we had places to go.

We had things to do.

But have we not surrendered to the time?

Haven't we surrendered to the proximity of giving up and being within ourselves or doing what we could rather than projecting it out that things haven't happened?

Now,

The anger is generally coming from the past,

Where the events have happened.

But the worry is about the future where something hasn't even happened.

So it is about like all the worries that we think about may not even happen or they are totally different.

They're totally pointless as well.

There are two ways I categorize my worries.

One is the things I can do with a worry.

Say,

For example,

I'm teaching a workshop over the weekend and I'm a little worried about how it's going to be like.

Am I fully prepared and all?

For that,

I can take an action to go through my checklist and to be in organized state.

And that way I'm releasing my worry because I'm bringing back my 100 percent attention for it and surrendering to my to do part of it where I'm totally in control.

And now for the things.

Who is going to join?

Will I be jelling with their energies or will they enjoy my class?

That's a worry that I have no control on because it's related to others,

Their emotions,

Their path,

Where they are leading up in their life.

All I can do is think from my part.

Have I done my best?

Have I prepared myself?

Am I ready for it?

And that's it.

Not about the things that you have no control on.

And this really works when you write your worries down.

And so you can go through each of it and work on it.

In our head,

We think we have zillion worries.

But when you write it down,

There'll be hardly five or six or even three or four.

That's it.

Like,

You know,

And but it takes up so much space in our head that we nearly know it's going to be a whole life of worries or like,

You know,

The things that we need to be worked on.

So just for today,

Again,

Bring your balance back into today and repeat in your mind.

Do not worry.

Just for today,

Do not worry.

And being in the present moment,

That's the most important thing.

A lot of people do say like when they come for Reiki sessions,

Say,

I'm a warrior.

I have always been worried.

I'm a chronic warrior and there is nothing I can do about it.

But we forget we have given the power away to the so-called worry rather than hold it with ourselves and what we can do about it.

So bring that attention back to you.

Don't give the power to anyone,

Any situations,

But gently bring it back to yourself.

Yeah.

So always with the worry,

Think about it.

Is it an action you can take it to improve it?

If not,

If you can't do anything,

Let it go and let be in the flow.

And that's the most important thing.

And again,

Giving yourself some Reiki will help you to shift that energy and to give you some peace and release as well.

And just for today,

I release thoughts of worry.

Think about it as often possible in your day and let this be your new mantra.

And by that,

You are going to have much better sleep,

Much better,

A healthy,

Healthy life,

Healthy body.

And your anxious state,

Your panic states are going to decrease as well.

Your digestive system will be thanking you for that.

There are many,

Many advantages of having a worry free life.

And when you were a child,

You were or a baby,

You didn't have worries.

Who is going to feed you?

Who is going to look after you as a baby?

You just knew everything is going to work out.

You trusted the universe.

And so bring that trust back.

When you are worrying,

It's a signal telling that,

Hey,

I don't believe in you.

I don't know if you're going to look after me equally.

But when you say I am carefree,

I'm worry free,

You're just bringing back to yourself the power of you.

That's the most important thing.

And we all have got that power within ourselves.

We just need to tap into it and believe in that bigger part.

Now,

The next one is my favorite one.

Just for today,

Show gratitude.

This is how I realized my life was taking a beautiful turn shift.

So just for today,

Show gratitude.

Again,

It's only for today you do it,

But as you do for today and when you say tomorrow,

The same thing.

And so on you say it eventually in a few days,

It becomes as a habit that you just know you love to live by these.

So when you know you have been here for a reason,

You are trusting the universe and you are here for a good purpose.

You need to do something where you are when you are in that vibration,

You are praising everything in your life.

You are grateful for every single thing.

The air you breathe,

The waking up in the morning or having a cozy bed,

Having loving people like you know.

Now,

When you're praising all these things,

Your other side of the brain might say,

Hey,

But I don't have good friends or I don't have a home that I wanted or I don't have the perfect body I wanted.

But we are forgetting what we have.

We should not ignore because this is good.

And you're just asking for something better for you.

But recognize what is already good in you,

With you,

And you're surrounded by it.

Again,

Like have a 360 degrees view in your life and praise and memorize how grateful you are and recollect all the great things that has happened.

Don't let one painful instant to take over all the rest of the beautiful things around you.

Just like when you're holding a rose,

There could be a thorns,

But don't forget the rose is so beautiful.

The thorns,

The pain doesn't let you define of that experience of a rose.

But the choice is yours.

You know,

Do you want to remember by being pricked by the rose spikes or just seeing the beauty about the rose?

The choice is yours.

And just for today,

I choose to show gratitude for everything.

I'm grateful I'm able to even sense the rose,

The flowers,

The smell and see the color.

I'm grateful for it.

And that is how I love you.

But saying that,

That wasn't the case.

Initial days,

I used to literally see how glass is empty as if a glass was given to me.

But now I feel more comfortable in saying I see the glass is refillable.

As long as we got a glass,

We need to be super happy.

If it's empty or full,

It really doesn't matter so much.

Yeah.

And when you are breathing and living.

For the moment,

You start noticing the value and amazing things that are happening around you.

And this is where you'll be counting your blessings.

But that only happens when we are in the present moment.

If we are not,

You do miss it out and you miss many great experiences because you are so busy in your mind that you are forgetting how beautiful the life is.

Even begin with your breath.

Remember your breathing.

And that's the most important gift.

You are alive.

You are plugged into the life.

And there are so many people waiting for you to be here and be along with them.

So remember those.

And don't let your vacuum of not having things define on the things that you have.

And when you start feeling worthy within yourself,

The inside out,

And it gets easier to acknowledge the beautiful things that are happening or even appreciate.

So how about we do think about like,

You know,

There are three things that you can be grateful for every morning or every night as well.

And by that,

You are synchronizing your mind to be in the present moment and you are making a mental note of all the beautiful things that happened.

And maybe you could listen to my episode three podcast,

Which is all about gratitude and how you can witness that gratitude and how we can make more connected deep into your life as well.

And when you say those gratitude things,

The last thing in the night or the first thing in the morning,

Imagine your heart exploding,

Expanding and bringing all that beautiful gift into your life.

Yeah.

All you need to do is just for a few minutes be there with yourself,

Mind,

Body and soul to be present.

And you can do this exercise here.

Let your heart expand and practice this gratitude daily.

It's just not for one day.

But I would recommend definitely to become more of like a routine every day as well.

And no matter what our ups or downs are,

Happiness or sadness is there is always,

Always something that we can find to be grateful about here.

And the more you notice it,

The more you're going to receive as well.

And definitely Reiki helps you to be connected into that energy force and also our trust in the abundance the universe has got.

And we are all going to have it as well.

And now the fourth one.

Earn your living honestly just for today.

So just for today again,

Earning your living honestly.

That's the most important thing.

A lot of us struggle with who we are,

Why we are here,

What is our life purpose.

And then in the interim process,

Until we figure it out,

We are projecting unhappiness around us because you don't know what your ideal situation is.

You're not even appreciating or relooking into you having a job,

Your career,

Your family,

Because you are in that process of thinking there is something else you wanted.

But here it's about like,

You know,

When you think about you need to live your life honestly means you need to be doing something that is going to bring a joy.

It's not about doing something for others,

But you have no joyfulness inside you.

It is kind of a betrayal to your own self.

And why are you lying to yourself or whom are you pleasing because we got to live with ourselves for the rest of our lives.

No one is going to be there as much as we are going to be there for ourselves.

A lot of people do forget,

Including me,

That what I'm doing,

I'm supposed to be compromising and be happy with it.

Say,

For example,

I want to be an entrepreneur,

But I'm working in a shop as a salesperson.

I'm totally not happy and I'm not doing my work honestly because I'm not being honest to myself.

But I can pause for a moment and say,

I'm thank you.

I'm thanking for this work and I'm also working on my dream job where I want to be more influence or get my products out.

It could be anything that you were dreaming about,

You know,

And and that way you are releasing and moving forward rather than backwards.

Yeah.

You remember,

You're all valuable and special every life.

Every person has a role to play in the whole world.

And that's the most important thing.

Like,

You know,

Every job we have is equally important to some other dream jobs that we want to do it.

But the most important is have you been valuing it or have you been working towards what you have got right now?

Honestly.

And when you start working honestly,

Your dreams are going to become your reality as well.

And that's one side of being honest to yourself,

To the work that you're committing to and living honestly,

Because that's the basic or the most important value.

A lot of students who are trained into Reiki,

They will always think,

Hey,

I want to quit my job,

Go and open up my practice.

But sometimes it's just a few more months or a few more years we need to commit to the work we are doing until we build ourselves.

And but in the transition,

We are lost that,

Hey,

This is paying our bills or this is allowing me to learn and allow me to do the things that I wanted to do.

So see the gifts,

Write those gifts down so you're making a mental note of it.

And remember,

Everything is important.

No matter even if you win a lot of remember,

You might be missing out on working on your dream things.

So always,

Always be honest or work from that whole bigger agenda of your life.

So there are two things.

One is to work honestly in the work you're currently having and also to work towards your dreams.

So your heart is fulfilled,

Your desires are coming true.

You are able to live a life of honor from truly inside out.

And this brings that abundance to your soul and you are more happier inside out.

So just for today,

Live your life honestly or earn your living honestly.

That's the most important thing.

The last one,

Just for today,

Honor your parents,

Teachers and elders.

So again,

Or be kind to others,

We can say as well.

So our parents,

Elders,

The teachers,

They have been doing their best.

And sometimes we have a lot of unforgiveness or unsaid things to be working on or to really look into it.

Yeah.

But we are here with a contract that we are going to teach each other life lessons and we are going to be working towards what is right for each other.

The teachers may not have done their best because they didn't know any better or they didn't have better vocabularies to use when we were growing up.

The same with the parents.

They didn't know any other better parenting skills than how they have managed in.

But it is us we are holding on to that discomfort,

Issues or our situation still in our mind.

Whereas the whole world has moved forward or them,

They have forgotten about it as well.

Like,

You know,

So try even honoring or try even thinking about I forgive myself.

You don't need to forgive them or you don't need to forget about it.

But allow yourself to be out of the cage and allow that freedom to come into your space.

So you're bringing gratitude to yourself and also you are valuing yourself.

It's not about others,

But it's about you valuing yourself.

That's the most,

Most important.

And it's all about like,

You know,

How do I value by valuing who in our lineage they are there,

Your parents,

Your ancestors.

This is the path we chose and let's work on our battles rather than against it or rather than putting only one side to be a problem in our life.

But rather than recognizing where the problems are,

Also work on them to be decreasing.

So whereas the future generation don't need to do the same work as you have been doing.

And think about it.

What goes around will come back as well.

So if you are honoring,

If you are being respectful,

You're going to get it back to yourself as well.

And it's equally important to teach by living how to love yourself and how to respect.

And again,

Definitely Reiki helps with that because it's going to give a clean slate.

And from there you can add anything that you want to and color in anything you want to as well.

So that's a beautiful,

Beautiful thing you can do.

And just for today,

Honor and be kind to every living creature,

Including yourself.

Never,

Never forget about yourself because you're part of it and you're part of this whole new process about identifying who you are.

So important to have the time and to process these thoughts.
