An empath is a person highly attuned to the feelings and emotions of those around them. Empaths come into the world with heightened senses, which are increased further by different challenges or traumas they've experienced in their lives. Empaths inhabit the complete and extreme opposite side of the spectrum from people who are narcissistic, sociopathic, or psychopathic. In this episode, I share the signs of an empath and burned-out signs and how to change and look after yourself.

Today the topic that I'm bringing you with is an empath.

So what is an empath and how do you know you are one?

So empath is a terminology that we keep hearing in our spiritual growth quite often and yet it's too much of like a.

.

.

It's your recognization.

If you're an empath you're a spiritual person or you are a spiritual person and you're an empath.

It goes well into each other.

For me empath is a person who is highly attuned to the feelings,

Emotions of those around you,

Within you as well.

Not to forget you are aware of your own emotions as well.

So this is where an empath comes in and to be able to know if you're being consumed by the emotions around you,

By people that you are surrounded by and you're consumed with their energies even when you were a young child,

Baby,

Young adult into whatever the age you are in.

So that is who you are.

That is a beautiful special quality of you.

Never underestimate the power of it or energy of it,

How strong that means.

Empath is not being a crybaby and a weaker person but actually to connect to other people through the emotions is a tough job.

It's not easy.

You feel more,

Tap into their realms,

Into their energies quite often.

You recognize the suffering around,

The happiness around through the expressions of the people,

Through the energy of the people.

You can read the people's energy,

You can read the room very well.

The emotions that are not even said you can connect to their heart emotions,

Their gut feel,

You can connect to them at a very intense level and that is who you are if you are an empath.

Here I'm going to share some of the signs that you are an empath and show some of my experiences being an empath and this might just resonate with you or just say,

Oh,

I got a soul tribe,

I got a connection,

Someone understands me.

Because being an empath you always feel or were felt,

You are a loner,

You are growing up not knowing where to express yourself and what are your conscious expressions as well.

We are generally lost until we find our soul tribe.

I'm very fortunate to say that since my Reiki awakening I have found my soul tribe who understands me that I don't need an expression to connect to people but their connection is right there.

So the signs that you are an empath,

If the ones that I described so far didn't resonate with you,

Here are a few more.

Or they might have already resonated,

You have done your check box,

You are very much a clear sense,

You connect by the emotions.

And you do have these gifts of the six senses,

You are very active at some of them,

Either seeing,

Hearing,

Listening to you or people usually call you when they are in trouble,

When they are unsettled,

When they are anxious or worried.

Because you help them to release those emotions,

You ground them and you take on their burdens to yourself.

So watch out,

Does your phone keep ringing with people wanting your suggestions,

Your ideas and if they are at a panic,

Do they remember you?

Is that how you are being recognised?

By your circle,

By your family members.

So that's a gift that you are carrying in.

Sometimes people do say to me it's a curse because you're always on duty,

You don't know who and what and what you need to hear and connect and how you can release.

So that is where our empaths work comes in as well.

And you often feel overstimulated as well by all this that's happening around.

You may even with that,

You may struggle with the boundaries,

You just can't say no.

When someone needs help,

You're always there not thinking about yourself,

Your self-care or your own health issues or concerns that you have,

You put them to the side and address to the others.

And you constantly feel those emotions.

And you could be an introvert person.

Introvert and extrovert,

I have a kind of a different way to look at those two terminologies.

I am an introvert person where I'm not comfortable with the people that I'm in,

But I'm an extrovert with my soul tribe.

I don't resonate when these broader terms are given,

But you are overwhelmed by big crowds,

Huge amount of people together.

Again,

Finding your own soul tribe there,

You take time,

Right?

So do you feel overwhelmed?

And you are very actively closing,

Protecting your shielding and trying to search ways or you have that awakening moment of what your soul is about,

What is your purpose about,

What are you here to learn about?

Are you naturally drawn to angels,

Spirituality,

Meditation,

Divination tools,

Or you have been referred to as a sensitive child,

Overly emotional child or a crybaby.

So these are the things that we have been tagged,

People around us have recognized.

And generally people dump their stuff onto us as in that recognition,

Wanting to connect to us at deeper levels.

So for these,

These are some of the signs that we are recognized as being empaths,

Lightworkers,

Spiritual beings.

And what causes us to be an empath?

Have you ever questioned that to yourself?

We come here with a knowingness,

Like an old soul we are here,

And we have a deeper connection to the purpose of us.

Either we have awakened to it or not,

But you know at deep there is a calling.

If it is not aligned to your purpose,

You feel irritated,

Agitated,

You feel restless,

You know you are searching for something and you are waiting for that search to be released.

And it also has kind of an interesting way which leads into our traumas that we have experienced.

You may handle the traumas very differently,

You process it and you just know there is a knowingness at our soul level as well.

And you know what,

Actually that I have realized being an empath is I was termed as a crybaby,

Overly sensitive,

Not a critical thinker,

Like a very emotional thinker.

So these made me think that I am a weaker part,

Because I was more into that knowingness of it,

But later I realized it is actually a gift that we are carrying in and we need to hold that gift and protect.

And when people don't get to know that gift,

You just don't know what to do with the treasure chest you have.

So here it is about because you may be connected with a narcissistic or person who is very high intense on some particular emotions,

We need to be working and releasing on them or bringing a balance to ourselves.

Knowing ourselves,

Being compassionate to ourselves is most important.

People do recognize before we recognize our own flow state,

Our own conditions and the strengths.

So by the time you realize your gifts have been given away and spread around,

Now you are trying to bring your gifts back and reestablish yourself with a boundary,

With a circle and then that way you are letting yourself move ahead.

Empaths have this beautiful unique ability to sense and observe others emotions which is a gift,

Because if you are a nurse or if you are a doctor or if you work with nursing homes or as a healer,

These are beautiful gifts to have understanding to people.

So even in the corporate professions or in the finance sector or a law,

Having that with your boundaries is amazing.

You are connecting at a human level heart to heart and letting each other understand and grow from there.

You are not trying to walk on someone,

You are letting yourself grow as well.

You get to see the other person's perspective,

You get to read the other side of the coin and that really helps you to have a better relation with the humans as well,

With your fellow people.

You receive a lot of good things for yourself,

Like you are building up good karmic traits within yourself.

But because you are always the giver and you are always the one solver,

You are in the condition of being suppressed emotions and now we are shifting that.

From the suppressed we are changing in to take care of ourselves.

If we don't have a right nurturing background or if you don't have your boundaries,

You will diminish your light quite quick.

You will get tired,

You will be losing out your vibe,

You will be feeling burnt out.

Did you ever go to bed feeling super exhausted,

Tired,

Even though you wanted to have a salt bath or a little massage to your feet,

You are super exhausted to take care of yourself and you are just trying to settle in.

As an empath you have been taking care of everyone else,

Not you.

You were not your own priority because you never gave that emphasis to yourself.

But now changing the script,

Language towards it will help you to bring yourself as a priority and when you take care of yourself you are going to take care of the people around you.

Just like in the air flights,

They always say to put the mask on,

Oxygen mask on to be more precise.

And then for the children to put it on because as a parent you are the responsible person or the caretaker,

You need to protect yourself before you protect others.

And the same thing should apply into our lives as well.

It's no different.

Why you should not take care of you and others as well.

And that is the most important thing.

Once you awaken to that,

Do with the small things.

Start saying no to the things that are kind of burning you down.

So with the burnout,

With the boundaries,

It makes it easier for you to look after yourself.

And when you are shining your light,

When you look after yourself,

Remember your light is going to reach many other people and it's going to serve its purpose to many other people as well.

So you're taking care of yourself.

That's the most important thing.

With your boundaries,

Start saying no to things.

And also,

First is your priority.

Have you checked in with yourself?

Are you checked in?

How you're doing to yourself before you're going to be taking care of others.

Sometimes you may feel overwhelmed or you'll be avoiding people or things you love.

Sometimes people do have physical symptoms like overweight,

Muscle aches,

Gut issues,

Fatigue,

Tiredness,

Insomnia,

Headaches,

Chronic illnesses,

Or sleep difficulties.

The list goes on and on.

Because you're physically or emotionally tired,

Taking care of everyone.

Your rage is within you.

It hasn't vented out.

All that suppressed emotions are within you.

Where you wanted to say no,

You could never say that.

And now you're stuck with that.

And with that stuckness is where you are keeping it to yourself.

So the best way is to shift that frequency.

Once you are aware of it,

Frequency change is the most important thing.

So for me,

Some of the frequency change came in by recognizing myself.

Recognizing to be in connection with who I am,

What is my purpose,

What am I supposed to do,

And what is my priorities.

That came in the no,

That came in the self-care,

That came in my meditation time,

That came in my circle,

That came in invitation to my soul tribe.

People who really care,

Understand each other,

Were able to be together.

So that is the most important thing.

To check in with yourself and be in your purpose.

And that allows you to grow and anchor onto your gift that you are here with.

If you are a healer,

If you are taking care of yourself,

You can heal many other people.

But if you haven't been taking care of yourself,

Imagine how can you take care of others or how much can you even give to others.

Where is the moment?

Shift,

Change,

Release,

All these things.

Again,

Physically,

I love crystals.

Crystals help me to ground me and help me to give that voice to my inner self.

Or it does help me recheck in myself what is my purpose today,

What can I do today.

Meditations,

I can create space because I am not attending the same angle of a call again and again.

I am not hearing a friend's voice of the same issue they have been having again and again.

Where they are not taking responsibility for the changes.

In that way,

I am changing the narrative to myself and the story.

So here you are making more time.

You can benefit from yourself.

You can have a better diet,

Better food,

Better preparation time,

Better sleep as well because you are not carrying someone's weight.

And you are only going to take care of yourself because our own package is good enough.

There is a lot to deal with things.

Essential oils like rose oil is great or franklin or myrrh are great for cleansing energies and rose is especially for the heart center to open up.

Be empathic to yourself.

Connect to your heart.

That is where you are going to be changing the narration of how to protect yourself and work with your gifts,

With your intentions,

What you are here for.

That's the most important thing.

You are here for a reason.

Don't let others consume your energies and dimnish your light.

Remember shine your light by taking care of yourself,

Saying no and taking in charge of what is right for others.

If someone genuinely needs your help,

They are going to be there.

And so as are they going to be there for you when you need help,

Think about it.

If they haven't been there,

How many times do you want to go and serve them?

Is that really beneficial for you?

What would you like in that space to serve 10 more people who are really going to benefit out of it and who are grateful for that benefit and take in charge of themselves?

A question to ask yourself and take that weight off and just be in your space.

That is the most important.

You are here for a reason.

Remember that.

And your soul to shine the light is the most important reason of all.

So with that,

Excellent! I have recently come to the conclusion that I have been an empath most of my life. In order for this to continue as a gift, I must extend this caring, nurturing quality to myself. This talk has helped me realize how important it is to balance this unique characteristic that I have.
