Hello,
This is Sarah Weiss.
I'm a mystic,
Shaman,
Medical intuitive,
And lover of Mother Earth.
And today I want to guide you through a meditation called,
Flow Not Fear,
How to Return to Yourself in Times of Crisis.
This is an unusual time on the planet.
There are so many unknowns that you're facing,
That we're all facing.
And we get caught up in the fear that's spreading faster than the virus throughout the planet.
The one thing that we need to do is return to our true self.
That is what will take us out of that current of fear and anxiety and help us come back to center,
Come back to ourself,
Come back to the clarity of our being and come back to a centered,
Calm place where you can actually make good decisions.
You can be in a healing state for your body.
You can take the time now because we're all at home and we have the time now to spend with yourself and truly and intimately connecting with yourself.
Now I know when I first started meditating and connecting with myself,
It felt a little scary.
I wasn't quite sure what to do.
But as I practiced,
I found that I soon loved coming back to a space that was quiet,
That was protected from the outside world.
And I wasn't coming back to the me that I portray in the world.
I was coming back to a space,
To a consciousness that is actually separate from the external world and which each one of us has.
And it starts in the heart and it starts in the body.
It's coming back to the essence of you.
So if you'll allow me,
I would like to help you return to that place right now.
To begin with,
Take a nice deep breath and feel your body responding to that breath.
Feel your tummy and your chest and your back expanding and contracting and reconnect to yourself through the breath,
Through the felt sense of your body.
And when you draw your attention to your breath,
You draw your attention inward.
So it detaches from the external world and you come back to this inner space that I mentioned.
So take a moment,
I'll be quiet.
Good.
Now I'd like you to lower your center of gravity,
Feeling the lower part of your body from the waist and the diaphragm downward.
This is a technique to help you reconnect with your full being.
Very often when we're in the mind,
We're spinning outside of the body and we don't even pay attention to the body,
But now we're going to because we need to relax.
So wiggle your toes,
Squeeze your calf muscles and feel your thighs on the chair,
Or as you're walking,
Feel the muscles in your legs as they're contracting and expanding to walk,
But become aware of the lower half of your body.
It's easy to become aware of the upper half,
But the lower half,
We tend to forget about.
And you'll feel a palpable dropping in.
All of a sudden you're in there and it's actually a wonderful feeling.
And take another few deep breaths.
And we're going to be connecting to the energy flow in your body.
Remember,
This is the flow,
Not fear meditation.
So where do we go to experience the energy of your body,
The consciousness of your body?
Actually,
The easiest place to connect with this is through the soles of your feet.
And it's really interesting that there is the word soul,
S-O-L-E and the word soul,
S-O-U-L.
And they come together in this meditation.
So just like you know where the center of the palm of your hand is,
Find the center of the sole of each foot.
That's usually somewhere in the middle of the arch.
And you'll know it intuitively and acknowledge it on the right foot and acknowledge it on the left foot.
And through these points on the soles of the feet,
We are connecting to the soul of Mother Earth.
We are reconnecting to the truth of our being.
The truth of the matter is,
Is that we are connected with Mother Earth.
We are not separate from her.
We can pretend that we are,
But we're not.
And there's this great relief that occurs when our body recognizes that there is a flow,
A connection between the Earth and yourself.
So as we return to this flow,
We're going to imagine or feel roots growing out of the soles of our feet and ground and reconnect to the universal energy,
The Qi,
That flows from the cosmos through the galaxy,
To the solar system and through the Earth to you.
We're coming at this from the bottom up.
This is a very feminine spiritual approach.
I consider myself a spiritual grandmother,
First and foremost.
I look to the Earth for my guidance.
I look to the great mother for shelter and refuge and wisdom.
And in times of crisis,
Who is the best person to turn to?
There's no one better than the mother,
The true mother,
The great mother,
The mother of the world.
You may know her as Mother Mary,
As Kuan Yin,
Or many other names,
But she is the indigenous soul of the universe.
She is the creator,
The enlivener,
The heart of all of existence.
And so from her flows all of creation,
And we are connecting with that flow.
So feel your feet,
Feel your body relaxing downward.
If you've got a very heavy feeling in the lower part of your body,
That's great.
We're releasing tension and stress from the body,
And it is sinking downward,
And it also may be flowing upward,
Because as soon as we get a downward flow,
We have an upward flow as well.
We've opened the channels that flow between heaven and earth through us.
We've opened the channel from the root chakra to the crown chakra,
And we come into flow.
And we can actually identify with this flow as this flow gets stronger,
Brighter,
Lighter,
More sparkly and twinkling,
We become happier,
More joyful,
And more settled and calm,
Because we are returning to our natural state,
Which is flow.
Now,
Logically,
You wouldn't think flow is an identity,
But flow is an identity.
You would not normally think of flow as creating an identity.
Identity seems to have a static sense to it,
Like it's created,
And that's who you are,
And that's who you'll be forever.
But that's not true.
We are a living,
Dynamic,
Growing being,
Who at our core have the identity of a certain frequency,
Certain vibration,
A very unique rhythm,
A very unique rhythm and vibration that is the true you.
That is the true you,
And so when your identity is based on something living,
There's the core vibration,
And then there's the response,
The resiliency,
The responsiveness to the environment and the flow back and forth without being stuck in some kind of rigid idea of who you are.
You can become the flow.
You can become the aliveness of the universe,
And you can be your unique personality in the best way possible.
When we're joyful,
When we're happy,
When the world looks sunny and bright,
We are the best we can be.
So in times of crisis,
We will normally shut down and try to conserve energy and try to protect our being,
And paradoxically,
The opposite is the most beneficial.
You want to open up to the flow between heaven and earth and your being.
You want to become the universal energy.
You want to become the biggest,
Brightest,
Most wonderful you that you can be,
And even though there might be crisis around you,
This is the most optimal way to handle the crisis,
Is to be in the fullness of you,
Returning to you,
Instead of being swept up in the crisis and the fear and the anxiety.
So return to your feet,
Feel the flow in your hands,
Feel the light in your heart,
And give yourself permission to be happy and joyful when the world is in crisis.
You don't have to join with the fear.
You can be the healer,
The restorer,
The center of calm in the storm.
Just because someone else is in crisis doesn't mean you have to match their energy.
You're allowed to be a big,
Bright,
Shining sunlight when someone else is in crisis,
And by doing that,
You will be the comforter,
The healer,
The true friend.
Now we've been taught that when someone else is in crisis or a group is in crisis,
That we shouldn't be happy,
That we should match their misery,
But we found out by now that that is not the best way to approach this.
And even though someone else may want you to be as miserable as they are,
You don't have to be.
So give yourself permission right now to be the most joyful,
Most creative,
Most light-filled,
Spirit-filled blessing on the planet.
Feel the energy flowing through you,
Getting lighter and brighter.
Feel the light pouring down upon you and the power flowing upward through you.
Allow it to cleanse any heavy energies,
Any darkness,
Negativity that is clouding the light of your being.
And this is a beautiful cleansing that will help reveal your true being,
Help you return to a state of stability and safety,
The place where we find true safety is within.
We can't control anything going on outside of ourselves.
We can't control other people.
We can't control the events,
But we can return to a state of serenity and equanimity and safety within.
Once again,
Give yourself permission to be in a pleasant,
Enjoyable state.
You don't have to feel guilty if you're feeling good and someone else isn't.
You are doing more to help them and the rest of the world by radiating true safety within.
Return to your feet.
Feel the flow.
Feel the flow in your hands.
Feel the light surrounding you.
And be blessed.
